It was a fairly good anime in the end. They reused a lot of shots for the baseball game, but it was still fun to watch despite being pretty damn long, it ran for like 30 minutes. I liked that they gave Seijo's team enough screentime and characterization over the season that you almost wanted to cheer for them, too.

It was a good show. The director really likes baseball. Season 2 never despite the story and characters having enough meat for one. Seijo's team must be pretty heartbroken. To be disbanded the way they were, reform under one girl, and lose to an upstart team that didnt exist 3 or 4 months before nationals must be gut wrenching. I hope they werent disbanded again.
This is probably the best place to tell this story. Back in elementary school I had a vague interest in baseball so I went and learned how to throw different pitches. When gym class finally did baseball I struck out most everyone since all they knew was throwing the ball hard equals better. Never played baseball since then.
