It's kind of Hibike! Euphonium, but not really, and every plays the koto.
In this first episode, we get some overall suffering with the occasional tonal shift, and no playing of the koto.
All in all, off to a good start.
No.919307
I'm sure the next episode will have someone playing the koto.

>It's kind of Hibike! Euphonium
Asuka and Kumiko noises were the primary reasons to watch Hibike. If this has neither then what is good about it?

>megane joins a club with all girls
>doesn't even begin to think that it's good to be in a harem
>talks shit when the delinquent beats up the other fags for him, because he's already "protecting the club" in his own way
>which involves taking it up the ass daily
It was a pretty awful beginning for a show focusing on music, but then again it's probably a fujo anime.

Boring first episode. I wonder how they'll handle the concerts.

>Second pic
Shit, if I was going from a harem anime to a BL anime, I'd be crying too.
No.919622
I was hoping that this would be good but from the first episode it struck me as nothing but melodramatic fujoshit with too many boys. The bully gang in school seemed forced too. Not to mention that the prominent lip-lines like in pic related were off-putting.
No.921217
We get introduced to professional girl, but she turns out to be a bit of an elitist prick.
No.921224
I liked the cunt, and they even played the koto for like 30 seconds, big improvement over the first episode. Still not very good, megane continues being an absolute pussy and way too much time is spent on stupid drama, but I guess I won't be dropping it for now.

They got enough members, but antagonist man is trying to disband the koto club.

And they didn't suck so now the club isn't shut down.
No.925682
For a stupid music drama anime, it was a really nice conclusion to the arc. Didn't need even quarter of the flashbacks that it had and it got in the way of the actual performance with the excess, but it was still good. Surprisingly, it's one of the better shows this season.

She was really reaching, expecting some high school boys to recoil at stupid family drama the same way a bored grandma would.
Cunt's backstory was a bit crap, but it wasn't too overblown, about on par with expectations. Homewrecker's backstory was very zero-effort, could've given it a bit more thought, but then again it's better to have gotten it out of the way.

It's better than having 2 episodes dealing with blonde wanting to leave the group, but once in a while, maybe we could have an episode without any drama, for a change. Someone's always depressed, or doubting themselves, or doubting others.

I didn't like this artsy fartsy choice to omit the fallout of the performance, but then again S2 is airing in the fall season.
It ended up being a way better anime than it appeared at first, mainly because the first impression was terrible. The constant constant presence of fabricated drama was annoying, some of the supporting characters are kind of crap, but the main cast was alright, the koto stuff was interesting, even if it started venturing into bullshit territory near the end, and some of the performances were really nice, fortunately including the final one, Kuon. It was a decent anime, especially when comparing it to other music-drama shows.

The only reason I picked this up was because of the koto, any other "normal" instrument and I would have skipped it.
No.937080
The ending was really abrupt, but we are getting a second season so I guess it's fine (it isn't).
