Boy meets adorable tsundere loli with amazing zettai ryouiki.

Picked this up thanks to the loli anime thread. I liked the mixture of mundane romance conflicts with the main plot, even if it was a little contrived that Yuji, Yoshida, Shana, and Margery's two henchmen are all in the same classroom. Many opportunities for girls to get flustered and jealous, which is always fun to watch. The villains, on the other hand, were boring, a series of edgy faggots each of who overstayed their welcome. They don't seem to have motivations beyond "I sacrifice mundane humans so that my special self can be immortal", except for that doll guy at the beginning, whose difference is that he wanted immortality for the doll girl he loved instead of for himself.

I haven't yet committed to watching the seasons after the first but I quite enjoyed the first season especially the ending with its cheesy montage. I think I'll give the light novels a read.

Apologies for the duplicate thread. Please use this thread to comment on this little girl's perfectly appropriate reaction to a handhold.

Second season is mosty shit and filler until Pheles and later, Sabrac.

Third season is not unlike current Index III, a rather expensive LN ad.

What's the consensus?

Anime, Manga or LN?

Third season is pure unadulterated trash, I couldn't finish it. Turning the MC into the villain is timewasting nonsense.

I didn't want to remember that.

Talking about Shakugan no Shana reminds of Zero no Tsukaima, Lotte no Omocha! and... Toaru Majutsu.

What an epoch of dubious stuff.

Joins the villains, wins, gets slapped by Shana once or twice but made her his woman anyways.

So the villains just win in the end? That actually sounds amazing.

I mean, they get the shit slapped out of them, but whoever lived got a whole new world.

If that's all it was then it'd be amazing but the whole reasoning for what their victory entails is pretty dumb.

Shakugan no shana has to be the the essencefication of 2000s anime. The animation quality is stilted, the villains are one-note and its all just Rie going "Bakabaka".

Season one is pretty good, season 2 is alright, but I was not a fan of season 3.
