I hope no on minds, but I'm bumping this thread to make sure this gets read; mainly the images.

>implying it didn't die when Chris left it
>spitting on it
>not lamenting the fact that our old home is dead
>forgetting how fucking awful 8fag is now
Who am I quoting? Ha ha.

You mean the users?

Thanks to you, I now refer to them as "Discordians", since they're not quite reddit and they tend to be youngfags or outright underagefags. They don't know what "meme" even means.

Looking through old archives is pretty refreshing. The collective IQ of imageboards has vastly diminished over the years, and it just keeps getting worse and worse. Also, I don't think it's just me, but "cuck" is overused especially since becoming politicized, and is annoying. Idiots keep flinging shit at shit which clutters the thread, instead of explaining why someone is being a fucking retard. And calling someone a faggot gets them upset even if you're right I understand getting upset when you know you're right, but then you had better come up with a well-written response, hopefully not straying off-topic too much, and then they get emotional and reply with feces, or they don't try to follow up with an actual post because you're just wrong ecks dee. Filters are AIDS hurts anonymity and anons judge the poster with assumptions rather then the posts themselves, the BOs/vols hand out permabans and year-long bans for misdemeanors say what you will about /a/, at least the bans are at most a week-long. Now, they have been hypocritical, but still., hypocrisy and lack of thought why the fuck is X okay when Y is no better? if it's to preserve something, think about why Y was seen as cancer in the first place.
The best quality—shitty threads and posts are ignored, and the shitty threads or posts that aren't annoying bring forth something worthwhile, because the users that reply reply with high quality.
I implore all anons to visit archives more frequently, with an open-mind. Besides your familiar boards, visit boards you wouldn't normally go to, and see how they've changed. Lurk some other websites you normally hate, as well with an archive. It's interesting to see how things have changed.
