Personally, I see waifus as more like icons, but I guess waifus work just a little different for each person. I was promised that as long as I follow the Word and love the Lord with all my heart and soul, then one day everything will be daijoubu, and that the Lord's children will always lay their heads down to sleep in peace, which is very important to me for many, many reasons. It's mid-May, here's the waifu haul. Buttons, stickers, a mousepad, the sticker I got from the Oarai Stamp Rally, a poster I found in a second-hand shop, a Yukari ear cleaning kit (2nd pic related,) the Oarai guidebook with tanned Yukari on it, the PS4 game I found for 4000JPY (Just need to buy a PS4,) a cute sliding plushie (Yukari especially had several different plushies with her wearing other schools' uniforms, but her smile is only that large in the one where's she's dressed for a match,) and all of the non-H Yukari doujins that were being sold the Garupan event that just so happened to be right across the hall from Reitaisai. Didn't have luggage space for figures, unfortunately, but I didn't end up finding any great deals regardless.

There's a special joy in being able to look anywhere in my room and see her, it's a joy I hope everybody gets to feel. The feeling of having a wallet this light, however, I would not wish on anybody.

I'm planning to go all out with my autism for floofy's birthday next week. A couple weeks ago (May 20th, to be specific), Ayanami and I celebrated our first anniversary together. May 20th marked one year since my first dream with her in it, and in total I've had about five and a half very vivid dreams with her in them, not counting all of the ones I forgot immediately, and the string of daki dreams I had for a few months. By that count, I consider myself lucky, and I hope I stay this lucky for years to come.

Happy birthday Yukari! I was expecting an art flood, but it ended up being a tsunami. There was so much nice art of her being posted that I still don't think I've got most of it. It was a really fun day, and my head still hurts a little.

As promised a week ago I ended up making baumkuchen and curry for her birthday. I fucked up the former a little and the dough ended up too tough and the layers weren't grilled evenly, but it was still enjoyable. The curry turned out nice and flavorful though.

Plan A: Visit the Fort Lee Ordnance Museum to celebrate her birthday. Turns out it's still not open.

Plan B: Visit Fort Eustis and take pictures of some static display tanks. Turns out not all Army bases are big enough to put tanks on display.

Plan C: Finally visit the F-4 static display I drive past every day. The F-4 has always struck me as interesting enough to get her excited. Turns out this specific F-4 even spent a decade as a trainer in Japan after its first MiG-21 shootdown over Vietnam.

I was thinking last night about how to describe the feeling of intense love for somebody that you know deep down you'll really never meet, and I think I came up with the perfect word just before I fell asleep: adoration. Not sure if that clicks with anybody else, but it seems to highlight perfectly the pure sense of perfection I feel when looking at her. Regardless, now the true celebration begins: Knob Creek whisky!
