It's quite good, but it was ruined for lasting too much, like TOO much. The main mystery was resolved like in half of the story.

What keeps genius like these milking the dead cow? Greed? Contracts? It's hard to me to understand.

Either you get it this way or like Monster where the story is good but the end ruins it all.

>"But mom, I do read books! This japanese manga is written like a real novel!!!"

I feel genuinely sorry for the poor idiots who were conned into worshipping this turd like it's fucking joyce. The entire future storyline is like one of those horrid live shows adaptations.

In the very least, a mango is aware of its limits and shows love for the public. You're reading the works of a failed writer who lures the desperate with the promise of fun, accessible literature.

It's a common problem with long non episodic works. The first dozen or so "DON!" moments build upon each other and are great. But then it just keeps DONing. And like heroin, each subsequent don gives less and less punch until you're at the point where the main story itself has become so tedious that you're speed skimming through the pages just to pass from one don to the next in a vain attempt to keep your interest.

I thought Monster was great except for the ending which left me a bit butthurt since all the buildup was for nothing, or alternatively, a fuckton of spinoffs about the shitty side characters mucking around in bumfuck nowhere. Everything went downhill from there and Billy Bat was the worst offender. Mujirushi is only at its early stages but I can already imagine Urasawa trying to be witty about murrican politics by making a literal Drumpf/Killary hybrid an important mascot character.

Urasawa always does this with his long series.

Monster had a bullshit end, and Billy Bat was entirely senseless for pretty much all of the last half.

I hope Mujirushi doesn't turn to shit too.
