For starters, I (OP) didn't actually know this thread got through because it was stuck at 100% and wouldn't show up in the catalogue.
Additionally, 8chan is bleeding users because it basically was founded because of GamerGate and j00tles shitting his pants over it. Meaning that the vast majority of 8chs population came from /v/ and /pol/. I fear that many users that aren't here for niche boards like /christian/ or /monster/ are in the process of going back to 4chan because most boards outside of /v/, /pol/ and /leftypol/ are too slow for their tastes, creating a vicious circle.
