The last few minutes of this one make me tear up every time whenever Stack just whales all out at the end. Also the gasp at about 5:16 is just perfect; I'm not sure if it was intentionally left in or just overlooked, but it just makes the emotion of it a lot more raw, which works for the narrative. Lily-an at the beginning delivers some lines with a fantastical whimsy to them that didn't really need added, but help set the tone of it rather well.

Probably one of the coolest things I saw at a Dave and Buster's once was a dancing game with one of this group's Emotional Skyscraper remixes as a song. I'm glad that Tatsh reached the mainstream, since X years ago I discovered this wonderful series through this specific remix (Nyan Cat > Nyan Battle > Zenius i Vanisher > Tatsh > Floating Darkness > Nue). I really like that one. Imho the music - especially combined with the well-chosen pic to accompany it - really gives you are feeling of how horrifying it must have been for Maribel to realize her own powers as the latter kept growing.
In one moment, you're just a normal university student, with all the worries and pleasures that come with it. In the next, you plant a hand against a flat surface and somehow tear open a rift in the very fabric of space and time itself, leading to a world which defies practically everything you thought you know up to this point.
A part of you does not want this. A part of you does not want this. It kicks and screams as it begs you to stay Maribel Hearn. Just a normal human who is best friends with a girl named Renko. You feel as if you were running towards a cliff at full speed, well aware of the gaping abyss that waits below.
But then there's another part -like the morbid curiosity that prevents you from averting your eyes at the sight of a car accident. You want to know more about these strange, foreign worlds. You want to explore them. One in particular; the one in which a time-bending maid gave you cookies and a woman seemingly made out of flames protected you from a monster.
But what of Renko? She can't follow you to this place, and you know. She studies physics; with an emphasis on the string theory. Renko is anathema to all of this - a scientist that thinks in hard, cold numbers, opposed to a world ruled by probability and opaqueness.
