Special Containment Procedures: As SCP-26HU's anomalous properties make a capture and subsequnt containment in a Foundation facility impractical, it currently is contained inside the Yarunasai drinking hall in , Japan. The immediate are around the containment site currently is marked as off-limits to the public as a live-fire military training ground of the Japanese SDF, and foundation personnel wearing SDF uniforms perform 24-hour patrols around the perimeter of the site to prevent intrusion.

SCP-26HU currently is held within the confines of the containment site via the "Broken Moon" protocol, in which groups of six (6) d-class personnel are brought to Yuranasai drinking hall and are instructed to serve as SCP-26HU's drinking partner. Each group will drink together with SCP-26HU for precisely six (6) hours before being replaced with a new group and terminated off-site. So long as a steady supply of drinking partners is available, SCP-26HU will make no attempts to leave the containment site.

In the event of a containment breach, no active attempts of trying to stop SCP-26HU from leaving the containment site are to be made. Instead, on-site Foundation agents must quickly begin an ad-hoc celebration within hearing distance of SCP-26HU. Once SCP-26HU has been attracted by the group and joined the celebration, the active agents must slowly move the group back into the containment site and serve as SCP-26HU's drinking partner until a new group of D-class personnel arrives.

Under no circumstances are beans to be thrown at SCP-26HU, as this sends her into a highly agitated state and may readily lead to damage to Foundation property and personnel.

* SPECIAL CONTAINMENT PROCEDURES *: SCP-29HU currently is not in Foundation custody. In the event that visual contact with SCP-29HU is made, all Foundation employees are required to alert Mobile Task Force Omicron-9 ("Hag Hunters") as quickly as possible. An appearance of SCP-29HU inside of a Foundation facility requires the site to go into full lockdown until SCP29-HU has been captured or the SCP-29HU's continued on-site presence can be ruled out beyond doubt.

* DESCRIPTION *: SCP-29HU is an elusive entity that so far has avoided capture by the Foundation despite of making repeated appearances both in proximity of Foundation agents and inside of Foundation sites. Despite of the subject's unclear intentions, O5-Command currently deems SCP-29HU as an Alpha-Level security threat to the foundation, dwarfed only by [REDACTED].

Physical descriptions of SCP-29HU itself portray her as an adult female with blond hair. Additional details vary between different accounts, including SCP-29HU's clothing (typically said to either be a purple dress or a white dress with a purple tabard, usually with a mob cap) her eye color (said to be either purple or golden), and other details (with some accounts noting a pink parasol and a paper fan). Given Foundation's limited knowledge about SCP-29HU, it is unknown whether this entity is the actual body of the subject, or only a type of avatar projected by it.

SCP-29HU has consistently been linked to tears in the space-time continuum. In particular, the subject is seemingly capable of creating 'gaps' within the fabric of space itself, allowing SCP-29HU to travel between distant locations instantaneously. Unlike portals and wormholes, who simply lead from one point in physical space to another, the gaps created by SCP-29HU apparently link to some kind of alternate dimension. Eyewitness reports consistently describe the area inside of the gap as being filled with purple mist, as well as uncountable eyes staring back at the viewer. The presence of a gap typically causes a feeling of intense fear (and occasionally nausea) in nearby observers. Additionally, electronic recording devices such as cameras or microphones will suffer severe malfunctions when trying to capture a gap.

SCP-29HU does not appear to hold any inherent aggressive behavior towards Foundation members, but attempts to capture the subject have led to the loss of several agents. While some agents died due wounds inflicted by SCP-29HU's "Danmaku" energy projectiles (which also are used by all other members of the HU SCP group), the vast majority of lost agents were sucked or dragged into a gap produced by SCP-29HU and deemed killed in action as their current whereabouts are unknown.

SCP-29HU has shown a lively interest in the other HU-SCP. The subject has entered the containment areas of other HU specimen and conversed with them on several occasions (see audio logs 1 to 26), but has also has been spotted observing Foundation personnel in Japan outside of official Foundation facilities. Given the potential threat and the risk of a large-scale containment breach posed by SCP-29HU, all sightings of the subjects - even if potentially imaginary - are to be immediately reported to O5 Command.

*Special Containment Procedures* : As SCP-22HU only becomes active at night, the graveyard she currently occupies can continue regular operation during daylight hours, but is closed and locked up at sunset. Under the pretext of repeated instances of vandalism by local teenagers, the Foundation has fortified the fence around the graveyard, and Foundation agents patrol the perimeter until sunrise, at which point the graveyard is opened to visitors again.

The Foundation currently is spreading rumors about various entities supposedly hunting local graveyards so as to discredit eyewitness reports stemming from the time before SCP-22HU's containment as urban legends.

*Description*: SCP-22HU is a compound entity consisting of two distinct sub-entities: SCP-22HU-1, and SCP-22HU-2.

SCP-22HU-1 takes a form of a young human female between eight (8) and twelve (12) years of age. SCP-22HU-1 has blue hair, wears a bluest vest, a blue skirt, and a white shirt underneath the vest. SCP-22HU-2 is a large umbrella which possesses a long, elastic tongue, and a single large eye positioned above it. SCP-22HU-2 is always held by SCP-22HU-1, and though both can move independently from each other for a short while, research has shown that both rapidly lose power when separated from one another. As the forceful removal of SCP-22HU-2 from SCP-22HU-1 also greatly agitates the compound entity and leads to increased vocalization which might attract nearby civilians, ongoing research into the connection between the two sub-entities currently is on hold.

SCP-22HU currently occupies a graveyard in **, Japan. Though in a dormant state and not detectable during daylight hours and while the containment site is devoid of visitors, the presence of human individuals in the graveyard after sunset will cause SCP-22HU to become active. SCP-22HU subsequently will manifest in the relatively vicinity of the victim and try to surprise and scare it by various means.

Tests with D-class subjects have shown different hunting strategies specifically tailored towards the respective victim, and analysis of available data suggests that SCP-22HU is capable of at least limited mind-reading, which it uses to employ the most effective scare tactic against any individual target. Should the victim fail to be surprised or scared when being ambushed by SCP-22HU, the subject will become dormant until the next night. Test personnel and audio recording devices positioned around the containment site have picked up distant wailing sounds following such events. Whether or not these sounds come from SCP-2HU is unclear.

SCP-22HU is not inherently dangerous. Apart from a mildly irritating effect on human skin produced by contact with SCP-22HU-2's tongue, SCP-22HU proper so far has caused no direct physical or long-term psychological damage to testing personnel or Foundation agents. As such, the subject currently is listed only listed as a Phi-Level security threat which does not warrant any more in-depth containment procedures. Ongoing field tests are limited and chiefly concerned with the extend of SCP-22HU's potential mindreading powers (see Experiment Logs KT 1-8).

Special Containment Procedures: Due to its powerful pyrokinetic abilities, the containment cell of SCP-23HU must be capable of withstanding temperatures of up to 3000 degrees Celsius. SCP-23HU currently is held in a heavily customized 5x5x5m containment cell, whose inner walls are lined with altering layers of tantalum carbide and hafnium carbide to provide maximal heat resistance.

In the event that SCP-23HU becomes agitated, the containment cell is to be hermetically locked and its air supply to be closed. As SCP-23HU continues to use strong pyrokinetic powers, all available oxygen in the chamber will eventually be consumed, causing both the flames and SCP-23HU itself to suffocate. Foundation personnel must inspect and replace any damaged part of SCP-23HU's heat shielding before the subject comes back to life.

Description: SCP-23HU appears to be a human female of Japanese descent, with white hair and red irides. SCP-23HU wears a a shirt and red overalls covered in Japanese paper charms. This clothing re-manifest together with SCP-23HU even when the subject's body has undergone total physical destruction.

SCP-23HU possesses highly developed pyrokinetic abilities, being capable of both manipulating already existing flames and creating new fire without any apparent fuel sources (though the exothermic reaction still requires oxygen to burn). The heat of flames generated by SCP-23HU seems to vary with her general mood, with record temperatures having been measured at up to 2500 degrees Celsius before heat indicators underwent mechanical failure.

SCP-23HU also seems to be metaphysically immortal - while the subject can be killed, maimed, dismembered, and even vaporized, the subject will always return to life within a span of three (3) to five (5) days. The nature of the process depends on the cause of death - tests have shown that any physical damage under a Class 5 category simply will heal and SCP-23HU will stand up as if awaking from a comatose state. More intense physical damage will cause SCP-23HU's body to vanish and then reappear at a randomized location within a two-mile radius of the site of death. To maintain containment of SCP-23HU, tests that involve physical damage of or above a Class 5 category currently are on hold.

'History of Containment: SCP-23HU was located within the _____ forest in Nara Prefecture, Japan after a series of local freak wildfires. Though not inherently violent towards humans, SCP-23HU extremely short temper and pyrokinetic abilities warranted an immediate capture and subsequent containment by the Foundation. As SCP-23HU can not be threatened with capital punishment, current containment protocols use prolonged periods of social isolation in the subject's holding cell as a means of pressuring SCP-23HU into cooperation.

*Special Containment Procedures*: SCP-24HU currently is held in a standard 5x5x5 HU-class containment cell. In the event of a full moon, SCP-25HU's must be rendered unconscious for the entire period of the moon's visibility, with the flooding of the subject's chamber with gaseous sedatives currently yielding the most consistent results.

SCP-24HU must not come in contact with any kind of media (including verbal communication) containing historical information. Accounts detailing the Foundation's history or that of SCPs in custody of the Foundation in particular must be kept out of SCP-24 reach at all costs. Any changes made to SCP-24HU's SCP log are to be approved reverted unless confirmation from a secondary source is available.

*Description*: SCP-24HU is a were-hakutaku; a type of therianthrope based on a mythical East Asian creature also known as Bai Zè in China and Kutabe in Japan. In her passive form, the subject appears as a woman of Japanese descent with silvery blue hair, brown irides, and typically wears an unusual hat somewhat resembling a single-story pagoda with a red ribbon atop of it.

Like most therianthropes, SCP-24HU undergoes transformation and enters an active state during nights with a full moon, but rather than fully turning into a hakutaku as expected, the transformation only alters the subject's eye color (red), hair color (green), and causes two crescent-shaped horns to grow from the sides of SCP-24HU's head. Why SCP-24HU only undergoes such partial metamorphosis is not currently understood, though the length of the subject's horns seem to correlate with the distance of the full moon to Earth.

Aside from common properties found in all HU-specimen, SCP-24HU has alternating anomalous abilities in her passive and active form.

In passive form, the subject is capable of "eating" history when presented with it, effectively deleting any information about the transpired events from both the original vector of information, and from all other media or subjects that may contain or possess information about them. This effect requires SCP-24HU's active attention to be maintained, but can be upheld even when the original vector of historical information is no longer within reach of the subject.

In active form, SCP-24HU can rewrite history. This ability allows the subject to alter existing information or add new information of and to pre-existing historical narratives, with the attack vectors being identical to SCP-24HU's ability when in passive state. Although the effect of this ability is delayed by distance and notability*, SCP-24HU can and repeatedly has altered historical accounts to facilitate containment breaches or to otherwise harm the Foundation before current containment protocols were implemented.

As SCP-24HU can only alter history known to the subject, current containment policies prioritize isolating the specimen from all historical and other information about the Foundation and the outside world that are not strictly required for testing. Accidental transmission of historical information to SCP-24HU will be punished by assignment to Keter-class SCPs or termination.

* Media accounts and individual memories of historical events altered by SCP-24HU while in active state will retain their original form the further the entity holding them is away from the subject. For instance, a history book next to SCP-24HU will be converted instantly, while one a mile away will only change after several minutes. Furthermore, the effect also takes longer the better-known the affected historical events are to the public, and by how far back they date. Particularly old and well-known events seem to be immune against SCP-24HU's abilities.

*Containment History*: Hints regarding SCP-24HU's existence have repeatedly come to the attention of the Foundation, but invariably were stricken from Foundation records and archives - most likely by the subject itself. SCP-24HU's eventual capture was largely incidental, with deployed field agents on the hunt after SCP-____ mistaking the subject in hakutaku form for the actual target.

SCP-24HU initially entered Foundation custody on a voluntary basis after learning that the Foundation's main goal is to protect humanity LIES , and still claims this as its own primary motivation. Given the subject's cooperative nature, SCP-24HU was given limited freedom of movement within the confines of Facility __ and offered to host courses on the history of __, widely broadening the Foundation's understanding of HU-category SCP specimen. TASK: Subject in active state is given a biography of writers and comic artists Stan and Jan Berenstain, asked to alter a minute but still noticeable detail.

RESULT: No apparent effect visible. Researchers overseeing the test conclude that SCP-24HU did not comply with the task, despite of the subject's insistence that it did ⑨S

*Object Class*: Euclid

*Special Containment Procedures*: As attempts to capture SCP-25HU have as of yet proven both fruitless and highly demanding in Class-A amnesiacs during cover-up operations, the current containment policy towards SCP-25HU primarily focuses on minimizing the subject's threat towards the Foundation by destroying the reputation of the newspaper owned by SCP-25HU.

To facilitate this, the Foundation currently operates three newspapers which heavily mimic the layout of SCP-25HU's paper and are filled with outrageously absurd articles. Said newspapers are sold to stores across Japan under the pretense of being part of a government-financed experiment on the perception of 'Fake News', and so far have succeeded in a) lowering the demand for SCP-25HU's own newspaper and b) portraying SCP-25HU itself as an eccentric rather than as a supernatural creature.

Any sightings of SCP-25HU inside Foundation facilities require an immediate and complete lockdown until SCP-25HU has been captured or can be guaranteed to no longer be on the site.

*Description*: SCP-25HU appears to be a human female in her late teens or early twenties. Physical abnormalities include red irides and noticeably pointy ears. The presence of two black-feathered wings on the back of SCP-25HU currently is deemed uncertain as the feature was absent in recent sightings. SCP-25HU frequently is seen with a red tokin strapped to her head.

SCP-25HU possesses the ability to move at extremely high velocities, even when considering that almost HU-class SCP specimen are capable of rapid self-propelled flight. SCP-25HU's top speed is unknown, but an analysis of footage captured during failed attempts to detain the subject show that SCP-25HU can fly at speeds exceeding 4000 kilometers (or roughly 25000 miles) per hour with sufficient acceleration time. Coupled with SCP-25HU's equally fast reflexes, the subject's sheer speed hitherto has made it impossible to capture via conventional means. SCP-25HU additionally is capable of manipulating wind speeds, allowing the subject to create both individual gusts of wind strong enough to flip over cars (see incident report 6A) and entire storms capable of extensive local damage. SCP-25HU apparently also can use this ability to listen in on conversations that normally would be too quiet or too far away to hear.

SCP-25HU spends most of her time gathering information and pictures for its personal newspaper, the so-called Bunbunmaru Newspaper, which is available free of charge to all interested parties (how SCP-25HU finances or prints the paper is unknown). Essentially a yellow page tabloid, most of Bunbunmaru's content consists wildly exaggerated depictions of actual events and photographs frequently taken without the permission - or knowledge - of the depicted individuals.

The Foundation's chief interest in SCP-25HU and the Bunbunmaru stems from the fact that the paper has featured several articles based on Foundation-related and strictly secret information or images, including pictures of several SCPs in Foundation custody, SCP database entries (including SCP-25HU's own entry), event logs, and transcribed conversations between high-level Foundation scientists and administrative personnel. This poses a critical problem not only because active knowledge of the Foundation and its SCP specimen could lead to wide-spread mass panics in the public, but also because it means that SCP-25HU can and has infiltrated Foundation facilities on several different occasions, potentially making the subject the single largest security problem the Foundaton has faced in recent years. Fortunately, SCP-25HU's own sensationalist writing style and countermeasures initiated by the Foundation mean that the vast majority of the Bunbunmaru's readers consider articles on the Foundation to be fabricated (with some seeing it as a satire magazine), but barring an effective way to bring the subject into containment, it is crucial that the legitimacy of the Bunbunmaru must be kept in a disresputable condition.

*Object Class*: Safe

*Special Containment Procedures*: Based on a history of cooperation with the Foundation, SCP-27HU currently requires minimal containment procedures and remains in the confines of Site _____ by her own volition. As SCP-27HU has made several notable contributions to the Foundation in the form of research and material, O5 command has granted the subject limited security credentials and access to laboratory 204 in the B-Wing of the facility. SCP-27HU may only enter the laboratory when accompanied by Dr Kleinthal and Dr Wakada, who are to serve as her assistants and monitor any research performed by the subject.

Requests for research material and resources made by SCP-27HU may be approved by either Dr Kleinthal or Dr Wakada. Requests for D-class test subjects requires approval by local site administration, and must not exceed more than forty (40) subjects per month. Requests for the creation of specific drugs or medications directed at SCP-27HU require approval by O4 command. Any and all Foundation personnel requesting the creation of [REDACTED] are to be detained and must undergo psychological testing prior to release or termination.

*Description*: SCP-27HU visually appears to be a human female in her late thirties, but is presumed to be not human and significantly older based on information gained from background interviews.

SCP-27HU's primary anomalous feature is her genius-level intellect. Attempts to get a measure of SCP-27HU's intelligence via conventional IQ tests have invariably failed to produce consistent results, yet SCP-27HU has not only shown to pick up and process information at a fracture of the time required by a regular human, but also has an expansive background knowledge of various scientific fields, with her chief area of expertise being medical science in general and pharmaceutics in particular.

Since entering custody, research performed by SCP-27HU under the oversight of Foundation personnel has lead to several breakthroughs in biomedical science with minimal loss of human life. Notable achievements include:

* A drug that reliably cures HIV/AIDS (currently withheld from public due to unpredictable effects on population growth on the African continent)

* A drug that reliably cures various types of cancer (currently withheld from public due to security concerns over the transformation of the drug into a biological weapon)

* A drug that allows for the regeneration of damaged neuronal tissue (currently undergoing clinical testing, release to public estimated around 2021)

* A drug that reliably cures the common cold across all known involved virus strains (currently withheld from public as Foundation scientists can not recreate the exact function of the drug)

*A drug that reliably cures autism (Proven to be ineffective in individuals belonging to certain social groups)

In addition to SCP-27HU's medical achievements, the subject also has collaborated with Foundation engineers and administrators to improve Containment protocols for [REDACTED], leading to a net decrease of 46% in containment breaches and 74% in resulting casualties. *Special Containment Procedures*: SCP-28HU currently is held in a standard 5x5x5 HU-Class containment cell equipped with basic furnishing. Owing to SCP-28HU's anomalous abilities and the potential transmission of sensitive information, direct access to the subject's containment cell is strictly limited to D-Class personnel, which may be directed via radio. D-Class personnel used for testing purposes ideally should not have an excessively violent background history or severe mental abnormalities, as the former can cause SCP-28HU to become agitated and attempt containment breach.

*Description*: SCP-28HU consists of two sub-entities: SCP-28HU-1 and SCP-28HU-2

SCP-28HU-1 visually appears as a young girl with purple hair and irides, a blue shirt, and a pink skirt.

SCP-28HU-2 is a symbiotic organism in the form of a large, red eye which is attached to SCP-28HU-1 via a a set of six (6) thin, tube-like appendages that end in heart-shaped golden ornaments directly attached to SCP-28HU-1's skin through the subject's clothes. Five or the six appendages are linked to major blood vessels in SCP-28HU-1's wrists, neck, and abdomen, from which nutrients and oxygen are drawn to the symbiont. The sixth appendage is directly connected to SCP-28HU-1's sensory cortex on the right lobe of its brain. Though the appendages of SCP-28HU-2 are elastic and contain muscles which allow individual segments to contract or expand, tearing at SCP-28HU-2 causes excruciating physical pain for SCP-28HU-1 and is met with immediate hostile behavior. It currently is assumed that severing the connection between SCP-28HU-1 and the symbiont would kill both due to rapid blood loss or neurological damage, respectively.

When SCP-28HU fixates a sentient being (including both humans and animals) with her symbiont, the subject becomes capable of reading the target's thought. It should be noted that this effect does not extend to actual memories, so that SCP-28HU can only access information about which the individual it is reading is actively or subconsciously thinking at the moment. SCP-28HU also can only read the thoughts of one target at a time, though the subject can rapidly switch between different individuals to get a rough idea of their current mind.

An exception to this rule apparently exists in the form of traumatic memories which still affect SCP-28HU's target consciously or subconsciously. Though 'digging up' such memories may take a few moments, SCP-28HU can subsequently amplify the negative emotions produced by the traumatic event, and project them directly into the target's mind, leading to symptoms including extreme psychological distress, acute shock reactions, and potentially catatonia. Once the mind of SCP-28HU's victim is weakened by such an attack, SCP-28HU also is free to browse the memories of the targets for specific patterns, including visual patterns, software design templates, and trained combat patterns such as a series of attacks used in certain types of martial arts.

*Special Containment Procedures*: SCP-35HU currently seems to be bound to Site Jota-152, a large, derelict mansion with a distinctly European architecture style that spontaneously manifested on the shores of Lake _ , Japan on ___ . As extraction of the subject so far has proven unsuccessful, current efforts focus on preventing access of the general public to Site Jota-152 under the pretense that the building is in acute danger of collapsing. All windows and secondary entrances of the mansion have been boarded shut. Eight Foundation agents patrol the perimeter of Jota-152 on a 24-hour basis.

Despite of several losses, Foundation personnel has successfully established a network of surveillance cameras, which monitor all rooms in Jota-152. Appearances of SCP-35HU in individual rooms currently are logged and used in an attempt to find a pattern in the subject's manifestations. Tests involving the deployment of Foundation personnel inside of Jota-152 require approval by O3-Command.

*Description*: SCP-35HU appears to be a semi-sentient entity with anomalous space-time properties, and visually manifests as a young woman with silvery hair wearing a classical French maid outfit. Despite of its human appearance, SCP-35HU shows no sign of motoric movement and always appears in a completely static upright position with its arms at its sides. SCP-35HU does not radiate body heat, produces no sounds, and for all intents and purposes does not seem to exist as a physical entity safe for its visible manifestation.

When no humans are present inside Jota-152, SCP-35HU remains in a passive mode, in which it manifests in one of the mansion's rooms, disappears, and subsequently reappears in another room of the mansion. The time SCP-35HU spends in any single room and the intervals before it reappears in another room are highly irregular, and there currently is no method to predict in which roomthe subject will manifest next. Nonetheless, gathered data suggests that there is some kind of underlying pattern in the these movements, and SCP-35HU has shown a somewhat higher probability to manifest in a few specific rooms than in other ones (see Document HU-35-C).

When a human being enters Jota-152, SCP-35HU will enter an active mode, causing it to instantly manifest in one of the mansion's rooms (assuming it had not already manifested in one) and to start moving towards the perceived intruder. It should be noted that SCP-35HU does not move in the conventional sense and indeed retains its static body posture. Instead, the subject seems to initiate a chain of short-distance teleport jumps, with each jump occurring precisely three seconds after the last and transporting SCP-35HU across roughly fourteen meters. Though the subject normally follows the preset layout of the mansion's rooms and corridors while chasing intruders, it may teleport through or manifest halfway inside walls if the tracked target is in close proximity (see attached image file).

If SCP-35HU makes direct physical contact with a human while in active mode, both it and the target will disappear for between one and three hours before the subject reappears and resumes its passive mode. The whereabouts of individuals thus captured by SCP-35HU currently are unknown, and communication equipment worn by individual D-Class test subjects has ceased transmission immediately upon their disappearance. Personnel lost while investigating Site Jota-152 hence are formally considered killed in action.

*Containtment History*: While SCPs _ through _ were extracted from Site Jota-152 and put into Foundation custody soon after the mansion moved to its current location, the presence of SCP-35HU only became apparent when multiple Foundation agents went missing during routine follow-up investigations of the extraction site. Partially successful interrogations of recovered HU-specimen indicate that SCP-35HU may bear a relation to the former head maid of the mansion, which supposedly possessed the power to stop time but went missing when the mansion and its inhabitants were relocated from [REDACTED]

*Special Containment Procedures*: Containment cells used to hold SCP-30HU are strictly required to have a layout and interior design that causes a severe disruption in the local flow of Qi energies as dictated by the doctrines of traditional feng shui. In the event that SCP-30HU should attempt to damage parts of the containment cell so as to improve the flow, the subject is to be warned that any further uncooperative behavior will result in bodily harm to [REDACTED].

*Description*: SCP-30HU resembles a human female of of East Asian descent with a highly athletic body build and long red hair. Although initially encountered in Japan, the subject claims to be of Chinese origin and has shown extensive experience with the Chinese martial art of T'ai-chi Ch'üan.

SCP-30HU is capable of manipulating resident Qi energies, allowing the subject to drastically enhance its own physical power and resilience. While already possessing considerable physical strength by itself (with tests having shown the subject as capable of delivering blows with more than 2000 lbs of kinetic energy behind them), tapping into local Qi sources allows SCP-30HU to perform outright superhuman feats, such as covering distances spanning across several hundred feet with a single jump, avoiding bullets in mid-flight, and punching through the frontal armor of a Japanese Type 90 tank to crush the head of the vehicle's driver (see Capture Log 5-C). SCP-30HU also seems to use Qi energy to power its version of unassisted flight and its Danmaku-type energy projectiles, which are found in all HU-specimen.

Conversely, an impaired flow of Qi energies around SCP-30HU has an averse impact on the subject. Aside from simply preventing the subject from enhancing its power, poor Qi flow causes the subject to suffer from a distinct type of narcolepsy. Under normal conditions, SCP-30HU can counteract this effect with regular short naps, but as the flow of the Qi worsens, SCP-30HU will find it increasingly difficult to stay awake. Additional effects include slower reaction times, lower body temperature, and the onset of a phobia towards sharp objects.

Though psychological testing indicates that SCP-30HU normally has a jovial and friendly personality, it currently displays highly aggressive behavior towards Foundation personnel; chiefly fueled by its loyalty and concerns over the well-being of [REDACTED]. Following two (2) containment breaches and the loss of several Foundation employees due to blunt force trauma, mentioning either containment policies or ongoing research procedures related to [REDACTED] towards SCP-30HU is punishable by demotion to D-Class status.

The exterior chamber also is to be equipped with remote-controlled pumps and grates to ensure a proper circulation into and out of the chamber..

A circular tube with three (3) sequential airlocks is to connect the container of SCP-33HU with the rest of the facility so as to provide access to the container for the interrogation of SCP-33HU. Only one airlock may be open at any time, and the access tube is to be flooded with water when not in active use.

SCP-33HU does not require food or drink in the conventional sense, but is to be supplied with one (1) 500ml bag of packed red blood cells each day.

UPDATE: Following the demise of several key Foundation researchers connected to SCP-33HU, the subject currently is kept in a state of torpor and is only supplied with minimal quantities of blood via a feeding tube to uphold critical vital functions. *Description*: SCP-33HU is a female vampire (Homo Nosferatu Vampiris). Though the subject claims to be over 500 years old, SCP-33HU's physical body gives it the appearance of a young girl. Aside from its vampiric fangs, SCP-33HU also possesses a pair of wings which it can use for self-powered flight at high speeds. Unlike most other HU-specimen, SCP-33HU is fluent in English and French in addition to Japanese, although it uses an antiquated dialect for the former two languages.

SCP-33HU displays the expected strengths and weaknesses of its species: The subject has notably superhuman strength, speed, and resilience to physical damage. It can regenerate severed body parts with no apparent effort, transform into a swarm of bats to later reappear in humanoid form elsewhere, and is biologically immortal. Like all HU-specimen, the subject can also fire devastating energy projectiles, particularly in the form of a massive spear or lance.

In return, SCP-33HU evaporates while exposed to direct sunlight (though this process is not instantaneous and can be counteracted with as little as a parasol), suffers an effect akin to caustic burns when coming into contact with flowing water, and must consume a certain amount of human blood each day to avoid torpor and, eventually, death.

*Containment History*: Like SPCs [REDACTED], SCP-33HU was captured during the siege of Site Jota-152, and is responsible for a large number of casualties among Foundation forces involved in the operation. SCP-33HU remained hostile following its capture and the enactment of current containment protocols, with psychological testing noting a clear narcissistic personality disorder based on a sense of self-grandiosity and underlined by frequent outbreaks into child-like temper tantrums.

Thrice daily, a Foundation agent that has undergone cosmetic surgery and is dressed up to resemble SCP-35HU will deliver food to SCP-34HU. At precisely 2100 hours, a Foundation agent that has undergone cosmetic surgery and is dressed up to resemble SCP-30HU will read an O2-approved bedstime story to the subject and tuck it into bed before leaving the chamber. Agents associated with SCP-34HU must remain in their respective roles at all times and should remind the subject that she is not allowed to leave her room before exiting Cell JP-87.

Food delivered to SCP-34HU is to be made from human organs treated to resemble conventional food and must be enhanced with a mix of sedative and serenic agents as well as Lithium compounds to keep the subject pacified and oblivious to its artificial environment. Bedtime stories read to SCP-34HU must promote obedience towards one's elders and showcase the consequences of failure to do so. Should SCP-34HU refuse to eat a meal or to listen to a bedtime story, the agent currently interacting with the subject must display a growing feeling of disappointment and emotional distress until SCP-34HU is coerced into performing the desired action.

Hidden speakers installed in Cell JP-87 are used to continously loop a series of subliminal messages hidden in a background of white noise. Said messages urge SCP-34HU to stay in her room and have been created by manipulating audio from interviews with SCP-33HU.

Should SCP-34HU leave its containment cell and enter Parameter JP-87-1, an agent associated with the subject must attempt to coerce it back into its room. Should coercion fail and SCP-34HU fully breach containment, Site __ is required to go into full lockdown. In the event that SCP-34HU has more than a 22% chance of completely escaping its current site and Foundation custody, the on-site nuclear charge is to be activated.

*Description*: SCP-34HU is a female vampire (Homo Nosferatu Vampiris). Though the actual age of the subject likely measures several centuries, SCP-34HU ostensibly appears as a blonde Eurasian child no older than ten years. Aside from the fangs and red irides found in most vampires, the most notable physical trait of the subject are a pair of branch-like extremities emerging from its shoulders, suspended from which are eight (8) octrahedral crystalline objects in rainbow colors. Though the exact functions of the crystalline objects remains unknown, SCP-34HU can use these wings to achieve self-powered flight, or at least moves them in a fitting manner when airborne.

The personality of SCP-34HU generally resembles that of a child in its apparent age range. However, the subject displays poorly-developed communicative skills as well as traits of sociopathic and bipolar behavior, an issue most likely caused by a lifetime of near-permanent social isolation prior to Foundation custody. This makes the subject extremely dangerous to other individuals, as SCP-34HU typically only sees them as 'toys' which eventually 'break' after it 'plays' with them. Despite of this seeming lack of empathy, SCP-34HU shows feelings of genuine guilt and remorse when scolded by its caretakers.

Apart from the inherent danger already posed by the subject's qualities as a vampire and a HU-specimen, the threat posed by SCP-34HU is further heightened by two abilities which have yet to be found in specimen of either respective group:

Firstly, SCP-34HU is capable of spontaneously manifesting three physically indistinguishable copies of itself that can act with a high degree of autonomy and may perform most regular actions SCP-34HU itself is capable of, including the firing of Danmaku energy projectiles. Despite of this, analysis of data taken from the siege of Site Jota-152 indicates that the original subject still controls the copies, making a type of hivemind system or psychic connection likely. SCP-34HU currently can only maintain these copies for approximately five minutes* before they vanish without a trace, though critical injuries can also destroy the copies with no apparent harm to SCP-34HU itself.

The second unique ability of SCP-34HU seemingly allows the subject to destroy any type of matter by grasping a metaphysical 'eye' associated with it and crushing said eye within its hand. With the subject's containment policies only allowing for tests of this ability on a very minor scale, the exact nature of this effect currently remains unknown. Nonetheless, the risk that SCP-34HU could theoretically destroy anything from individual humans to whole buildings to [REDACTED] means that continued containment (or, if necessary, destruction) of the specimen is currently deemed an A-Level priority goal for the Asian branch of the Foundation.

*Containment History*: SCP-34HU was captured alongside SCPs __ through ____ during the siege of Site Jota-152. Initially contained in a setup identical to that of SCP-33HU due to their shared weaknesses as vampires, SCP-34HU remained in containment for less than three days (including time needed to regenerate injuries sustained during capture) by using its 'Eye' ability to destroy a section of the outer containment chamber's floor. This caused the water normally surrounding the chamber's actual holding container to recede and flood other sections of the facility, allowing SCP-34HU to breach containment. SCP-34HU used its ability to create copies of itself and attempted to fight its way out of the Foundation facility, causing over 113 casualties before being incapacitated by sustained automatic gunfire.

The subject subsequently was held in an artificial coma for a span of five (5) months before interrogation of SCP-33HU and the resulting knowledge of SCP-34HU's personal background led to the creation of the currently used containment cell and protocols as requested by O5-Command. Current Special Containment Protocols so far have prevented a full containment breach, although one associated Foundation agent disguised as SCP-30HU has been killed when she failed to remain in character while reading SCP-34HU a bedtime story (see attached image file). Fortunately, the subject accepted the next replacement agent as the 'true' SCP-30HU without any further suspicion.

And I need some help once again. The next - and probably second-to-last - candidate of the Scarlet Devil Mansion is Patche, but I'm not quite sure how the containment protocols for her should look like.

The easy way would simply take her asthma and anemia into account and hence the Foundation would simply reduce the oxygen amount in her cell whenever the witch gets uppity. Sadly, such protocols would not be that interesting to read.

The slightly more complicated way would have her shift between one of seven different cells each day, with each cell corresponding to one of her types of elemental magic. The downside here is that Pache can apparently combine spells from different elements even when outside of the respective weekday (plus this elemental type per day just seems to be a hobby of hers anyway), so such a setup could easily allow her to breach containment

'*Special Containment Procedures*: SCP-31HU is to be kept in a heptagonal interior chamber, which in turn is situated in the center of a secondary exterior chamber in the form of a heptagram. The walls of both the interior and the exterior chamber must be fashioned of silicone carbide or similar materials resilient against rapid changes in temperature and/or pressure. Foundation agents trained in hermetical magic are required to inscribe warding sigils onto the exterior walls of both chambers at regular intervals. Sigils should be renewed once every week, or immediately in the event that they should start to leak a blood-like substance.

To keep SCP-31HU in a weakened state, air conditioning units installed at all seven points of the subject's exterior containment chamber should maintain a consistent temperature of 30° Celsius and a relative air humidity of 70%. Cooperative behavior on the part of the subject may be rewarded by a temporary decrease in temperature and humidity, while violent behavior may be punished with an increase of both or the limited introduction of formaldehyde gas into the subject's interior containment chamber until SCP-31HU ceases aggression or is incapacitated.

UPDATE: SCP-31HU currently is not in Foundation custody due to a successful containment breach. Search of the subject still ongoing. Containment Protocols for the subject currently are being revised.

*Description*: SCP-31HU is a Caucasian female adult with purple hair and irides. The subject claims to have been born in Britain in the early 20th century and can read (but struggles to speak) several different languages, including English, French, Classical Latin, Aramaic, and at least four other languages currently not associated with any human civilization or ethnic group. SCP-31HU has displayed well above average cognitive capacities, extensive knowledge in both scientific and esoteric fields, and the ability to rapidly memorize book texts.

SCP-31HU possesses strong magical capacities based on the five Elemental phases of the Chinese Wu Xing system and the seven planetary phases associated with the weekdays of the Japanese calendar, giving it access to the metaphorical elements of fire, water, wood, metal, earth, as well as sun and moon*.The subject may either use singular phase elements (such as producing jets of flame from its hands via the Fire element), or combine multiple phase elements (such as firing bolts of liquid mercury via the Water and Metal elements). However, certain elemental phases apparently require more effort to combine than others, and combining more than two elemental phases puts great physical strain on SCP-31HU.

The potential destructive abilities of SCP-31HU are limited by its poor bodily health. A medical examination upon capture by the Foundation has shown that the subject does not only suffer from anemia, asthma, and serious vitamin A deficiency, but also shows signs of long-term exposure to toxic compounds including mercury and arsenic, as well as mycotoxic poisoning stemming from prolonged contact with mold spores. As a result, SCP-31HU suffers from severe respiratory issues and chronic fatigue that make sustained physical activity exhausting and potentially dangerous for the subject, especially in low-oxygen environments.

*Containment History*: Captured during the Siege of Site Jota-152, SCP-31HU was found in the massive basement library of the complex and inflicted over __ casualties upon foundation forces before being cornered and incapacitated by BZ gas.

During interviews, the subject has professed great interest in the Foundation and its research, but also has stated that it would continue attempts to breach containment unless [REDACTED] is either released or subjected to less invasive containment protocols. Curiously, SCP-31HU at the same time has voluntarily offered advice on how to refine containment protocols for [REDACTED]. While it is plausible for SCP-31HU to know or at least to expect that both subjects are in Foundation custody, it remains unknown how it became aware of their precise containment protocols.

On February ____, 2016, SCP-31HU feigned signs consistent with a heart attack. The subject subsequently attacked and killed the medical team that had rushed into its interior cell, took the oxygen mask carried by one member of the team, and placed it on its face for twenty-seven (27) seconds before initiating what is considered to be a previously undocumented five-component effect. This killed eight (8) security officers that were in the process of entering the subject's interior containment cell, and inflicted critical damage to the structural integrity of both the interior and the exterior cell. Following the explosion, no trace of SCP-31HU could be found inside the ruined containment area.

The subject's current whereabouts are unknown, although several sightings of individuals resembling the subject heavily suggest that SCP-31HU is still alive. Based on demands and threats made by SCP-31HU while still in containment, the security force attached to [REDACTED] has been doubled. Direct observation of SCP-32HU by a human observer will cause the observer to go into a hypnotic state in which he or she quickly develops the growing urge to gain the affection and adoration of the subject. SCP-32HU may use this effect to close in, kill, and devour its victims with its sharp fangs (though a three-month period of suspended testing implies that the subject has no real need for nutrition), but is equally able of using such victims as willing slaves; promising them intimate bodily contact in exchange for their obedience.

While enthralled, victims of SCP-32HU will do virtually anything the subject demands, including and up to charging armed security personnel, killing other enthralled victims, or performing brb gensokyo by repeatedly bashing their heads against the walls of the containment cell until expiring from cranial trauma. SCP-32HU furthermore seems to be capable of telepathically commanding affected individuals even over great distances, and if no longer in direct contact with them.

SCP-32HU does not seem to be capable of enthralling more than six individuals at the same time, can not affect individuals under the effect of certain mind-altering drugs (cf. *Description*: SCP-11HU appears to be a girl between the age of six and nine years with green hair and green irides. SCP-11HU has physical canine traits in the form of long, furry ears and a short, bushy tail that wags when the subject is happy or excited.

Personality-wise, SCP-11HU behaves as expected for a girl of its age range; longing for the appreciation of adults and displaying keen curiosity about the world around it. However, the traumatic loss of its adoptive family during the collapse of [REDACTED] has left the subject somewhat emotionally needy and very susceptible towards negative behavior aimed at it.

Although medical examinations have shown that the subject's larynx and lung capacity are for all intents and purposes identical to that of a regular child, SCP-11HU is capable of producing sounds in excess of 150 decibels in volume; loud enough to produce intolerable pain and potentially permanent physical damage to the hearing apparatus of humans and other species. Though easy to mistake for a human girl at first glance, SCP-12HU is purely mechanical in nature and possesses a hollow body made out of substance resembling a hardened plastic. The subject displays motions in line with respiratory activity and appears to be capable of experiencing pain, but has no internal organs or metabolic system. How SCP-12HU moves and thinks without any apparent power source or cognitive processor is currently unknown.

SCP-12HU is capable of synthesizing and dispersing various types of organic toxins and may either transmit them via touch or by emitting them as aerosols. SCP-12HU has shown a preference for poisons found in Lily of the valley flowers (Convallaria majalis); particularly towards convallatoxin, which can lead to cardiac arrest in humans. However, the subject also is capable of synthesizing a wide variety of other lethal toxins found in plant life, such as amygdalin, helenaline, ricin, and strychnine. *Description*: SCP-13HU is presumed to be a human female aged between eight to twelve years. A symbiotic organism resembling a closed, purple eye is said to be attached to SCP-13HU via two thin, elastic appendages. Said appendages are reportedly attached to SCP-13HU's feet, but are long enough to wind across its entire body and keep the central part of the symbiont situated in front of the subject's chest. Despite of this, the symbiont shows no discernible autonomous activity of its own, and the benefits it grants to SCP-13HU are still the subject of ongoing research.

SCP-13HU has shown to be capable of hypnotizing and directly hiding its own presence in the perception of adolescent and adult human observers, effectively making it undetectable to other humans unless it wants to be seen. Even then, individuals who saw and conversed with SCP-13HU will immediately forgot about the subject's existence, stating complete ignorance when provided with a physical description of the subject or asked about the time they spent in conversation with it. Prepubescent children seem to be exempt from this effect; with their immunity towards SCP-13HU's ability likely being linked to ongoing neural development in the regions which the subject manipulates.

The anomalous properties of SCP-13HU likewise can be circumvented by observing it through secondary sources such as video feeds. However, SCP-13HU somehow seems to be aware of when it is observed in such a fashion and will rapidly become agitated while vocally demanding not to be looked at. Continued surveillance of SCP-13HU from a live feed causes observers to develop the urge of closing their eyes or averting their view from the screen on which the subject is displayed. *SPECIAL CONTAINMENT PROCEDURES*: The surface entry to SCP-14HU is to be closed off to the public under the pretense of an imminent cave-in. Foundation personnel are to patrol around the perimeter of SCP-14HU's entrance at all times to prevent civilian access to the area.

In order to keep airborne contagious elements inside SCP-14HU, an airlock has been installed within the tunnel leading to anomalous site itself. Field agents used to explore SCP-14HU must possess a pristine medical record and are required to wear fully sealed hazmat suits. In the event that the hazmat suit of one or multiple agents is breached, the affected Foundation employees are to be be evacuated from SCP-14HU and escorted to quarantine lab JQ-209 for medical examination and regular or permanent debriefing.

*DESCRIPTION*: SCP-14HU is an extensive cavern system whose total size and layout currently are still the subject of ongoing research. With no previous records available, it is unknown whether SCP-14HU manifested spontaneously or whether it simply had not been discovered up until recently.

Much of SCP-14HU's internal surface is covered in what appear to be extremely large spider webs, with individual strands reaching a diameter of up to five (5) centimeters. Though scientific testing of gathered samples shows no greater toughness or tensile strength than in regular spider silk (the closet comparable material being silk from the species Nephila clavata), the sheer thickness of the gossamer makes it extremely resilient to physical damage.

Aside from their size, the primary anomalous property of the webs within SCP-14HU is their ability to genetically enhance viral, bacterial, and fungal pathogens by physical contact with infected material. The exact nature of this enhancement varies by pathogen and host, but general optimization features include shortened incubation time, heightened replication rate, and greater resistance to immunological reactions. Once altered, the web that picked up the original contagious agent will begin to secrete a thin cover of mucus containing the new pathogen around its strands, allowing it to infect new hosts that come into contact with the web.

A single of SCP-14HU's webs can only enhance and produce one individual pathogen strain at a time, and they appear to have certain limits when it comes to the extent to which each individual infectous agent may be enhanced. However, if an altered pathogen is incubated in a host and then transferred back to the web that produced it, a new optimization cycle will occur. Given enough iterations of this process, even normally inconsequential pathogens can develop high lethality - one notable example being a highly mutated form of the Human Rhinovirus that causes death by severe throat inflammation and respiratory failure within two hours after first infection. There currently is no evidence for the presence of naturally pandemic infectious agents such as Yersinia pestis within SCP-14HU, but it should be noted that exploration of the anomalous area is still underway.

ADDENDUM_1: Multiple agents have reported visual contact with a blonde human female while doing field research within SCP-14HU. Despite of lacking protective gear and prolonged exposure to the various pathogens within SCP-14HU, the subject shows no visible signs of disease or other ailments, and so far has eluded any attempts of capture by fleeing into deeper sections of SCP-14HU not yet mapped by the Foundation. The Earth-Moon relationship would be a massive clusterfuck in general because it represents a direct clash between Touhou lore and SCP Lore. Depending on the article, the latter gives the Foundation anything from scientific outposts to a functioning spaceport on the far side of the Moon, as well as an outpost on Mars and access to an entire arsenal of surveillance satellites in orbit around Earth and other planets. This unsurprisingly does not go well with Touhou's canon.

I think the easiest way to resolve this is to go with the multiverse theory - the inhabitants of Gensokyo would have been sucked from the Touhou Universe into our (or rather, the SCP) universe. This even allows for shenanigans like actual 2hu games and other merchandise being a false flag OP financed by the Foundation to quell rumors that 2hus actually exist.

*SPECIAL CONTAINMENT PROTOCOLS*: Outside of testing sessions, SCP-15HU must be given a 'Rest' command and is to be stored in a locked, standard HU-class containment cell. SCP-15HU must not be allowed to enter a passive state while suffering from bodily damage.

The introduction of D-Class personnel to SCP-15HU requires approval by the local site administration. Unless required for further studies, the bodies of D-Class personnel killed by SCP-15HU must be incinerated as soon as the subject has left the testing chamber.

*DESCRIPTION*: SCP-15HU is an animated cadaver of an adult Asian female of uncertain age and time of death. Subject possesses notably elongated, claw-like fingernails and serrated teeth, but otherwise is visually indistinguishable from a regular human corpse. SCP-15HU does produce unpleasant odor in line with that of a human body in the early stages of decomposition, but its actual decay seems to have been halted by unknown means.

Despite of a complete lack of vital signs and no measurable brain activity, SCP-15HU is capable of independent movement and possesses considerable physical strength; the main limiting factor being the rigor mortis which has spread over large parts of its body and effectively makes it impossible for SCP-15HU to twist the joints in its elbows and knees. As a result, the subject's preferred mode of quick locomotion consists of short, repeated jumps with outstretched arms facing forward; giving it a resemblance to the Chinese Jiang-Shi of legend. Like all HU-specimen, SCP-15HU also is capable of self-powered flight, but will only use it when explicitly instructed to do so, and displays poor maneuvering skills that frequently see it crashing into obstacles.

SCP-15HU is extremely resistant to physical damage and does not appear to register pain, remaining unflinching even when being subjected to highly invasive procedures such as vivisection. This toughness is further amplified by the ability of SCP-15HU to heal physical injuries by killing humans and consuming their metaphysical Qi energy; allowing it to close wounds, reattach severed limbs, and even to regenerate entire body parts (with tests having shown that the regeneration of SCP-15HU's entire body from the head downward requires the Qi of approximately eleven (11) healthy adult humans). Individuals killed by SCP-15HU will come back to life after one (1) day of inactivity and will display traits similar to that of the subject itself, but must actively absorb Qi to stop their own increasingly rapid decomposition process, and will not produce further specimen when killing humans.

Presumably due to extensive neural damage caused by decay, SCP-15HU shows limited cognitive capacities and autonomous behavior, with its mental states essentially being divided into two distinct modes:

Thrice weekly, the lobby, washrooms and concert hall of SCP-16HU are to be made accessible to the public from between 1900 hours to 2100 hours under the guise of a commercial musical event as outlined in document C-16HU-S. The entities materializing within the anomalous structure during such concerts are to be explained as computer-generated characters projected onto the stage via state of the art holographic systems and loudspeakers. All inquiries concerning the investigation of the technological setup within SCP-16HU must be denied on the grounds of being trade secrets. Civilians that provide credible evidence about the true nature of SCP-16HU and the entities within are to be detained, administered with Class A amnesiacs, and implanted with a suitable narrative before release.

Due to the peculiar qualities of the entities residing within SCP-16HU, punitive measures for uncooperative behavior on their part currently take the form of prolonged social isolation; with the head researcher of SCP-16HU being authorized to close down the site for up to two (2) months. To the public, such periods must be explained as being necessitated by repair works or alterations in the program of the concerts.

*Description*: SCP-16HU is a large western-style mansion that spontaneously manifested in [REDACTED], Japan on May 14th, ____. Although the building displays an architectural style in resemblance of the Victorian era, samples taken from the structure imply that it has been built in southern Britain around 1940. SCP-16HU contains several dozen rooms, including five large and multiple smaller bedrooms, two drawing rooms, and a large concert hall. Since coming under Foundation custody, the originally ruined structure has undergone extensive renovations, and has been expanded with a lobby and washrooms for its use as a public structure.

SCP-16HU is home to three anomalous entities, labeled SCP-16HU-1 through SCP-16HU-3. All three specimen are incorporeal humanoids who visually appear as and behave similar to female adolescents, but are capable of manifesting in and vanishing from any given location within the mansion, can pass through solid matter, and may manipulate objects via telekinesis. In particular, each of the three entities can use its telekinetic powers to play one specific musical instrument with supernatural skill, being capable of playing tones that the instrument in question normally should not be able to produce. Said instruments include a violin (used by SCP-16HU-1), a trumpet (used by SCP-16HU-2) and a musical keyboard (used by SCP-16HU-3).

Although impervious to conventional physical harm, interviews with and research on the specimen inhabiting SCP-16HU has revealed that appreciation and praise for their musical performance is a direct necessity for their continued existence, as being unable to perform in front of an appropriate audience for extended periods of time will increasingly weaken the specimens' powers and theoretically may result in them fading away entirely. Coupled with the fact that the three entities cannot leave the confines of SCP-16HU, the specimen invariably are anxious to play for any potential listeners, and display extreme emotional distress when criticized or, even worse, ignored.

Music played by the three specimen has been shown to induce psychoactive effects in potential listeners, especially during solos from SCP-16HU-1 (which creates symptoms resembling those of clinical depression) and SCP-16HU-2 (which results in hyperthymic reactions). However, the effects of SCP-16HU-1 and SCP-16HU-2 apparently counteract each other during regular musical performances, and the strength of the effect is further diluted by the number of available listeners at any given point of time. The music of the specimen hence poses no serious threat to an audience consisting of at least ten (10) individuals.

*CONTAINMENT HISTORY*: Owing to the prominent position of SCP-16HU within the city of [REDACTED], conventional attempts to hide the presence of the anomalous site from the general public quickly were discarded in favor of containment protocols that mask the location's abnormal qualities rather than attempting to conceal the existence of the entire structure.

In order to maintain the disinformation campaign which portrays the three specimen manifesting within SCP-16HU as purely fictional entities, the Foundation has financed numerous side projects to reinforce the respective narrative. These include four (4) different webpages modeled after existing fansites for artificial personas, an ongoing video game franchise which stars the incorporeal entities as playable characters, and the yearly publication of music albums containing synthesized recordings of the specimens' concerts.

*SPECIAL CONTAINMENT PROTOCOLS*: SCP-17HU is to be kept within a circular 30m² chamber whose interior contains an artificial riverine habitat and includes at least one flowing body of water passing through the chamber. Maintenance work or experimental testing within the subject's containment chamber may only be carried out by D-Class individuals. D-Class personnel exposed to SCP-17HU are to be monitored for manifestations of the subject's influence and interviewed after a period of five days.

Once weekly, a female D-Class individual with an unfortunate personal history (for a concise definition, see document 17HU-VL) must be instructed in the Japanese nagashi-bina ritual and provided with basic crafting equipment to fashion the associated boat and dolls placed into it. Said boat subsequently is to be released onto the stream leading inside the subject's containment chamber. It can be retrieved at the attached pumping station once SCP-17HU has finished the feeding process and returned the boat to the artificial river. Used boats are to be destroyed by incineration unless required for research.

Requests of female Foundation employees to perform a nagashi-bina ritual in order to cleanse themselves of any perceived negative effects must be made two weeks in advance and must not exceed five cases per month. Due to the nature of the ritual, male employees are not applicable.

*DESCRIPTION*: SCP-17HU is an entity resembling an adolescent female with aquamarine hair and eyes. Although visually and behaviorally similiar to a human, the subject does not have any form of metabolism in the conventional sense, and while SCP-17HU has shown to be capable of both sleeping and consuming solid food, it does not require either for continued survival.

SCP-17HU is a self-styled 'Misfortune Goddess' and appears to collect the misfortune it harvests from nagashi-bina dolls in its containment chamber. Though there is no scientific basis for misfortune as anything other than an abstract concept and this transfer process is poorly understood, tests have shown that individuals which enter the subject's containment chamber develop a notably higher likelihood of being involved in various minor or major negative events; ranging from relatively trivial issues such as forgetting one's car keys to potentially lethal accidents such as being hit by lightning.

The intensity and number of negative events which befall affected individuals seem to be influenced by a multitude of factors, the clearest of which are how physically close the victim was to SCP-17HU, how long it remained within its relatively proximity, the degree of interaction the victim had with SCP-17HU, and how much misfortune the subject was allowed to stockpile beforehand. Curiously, the likelihood of an increasingly catastrophic death for affected individuals upon long-term exposure will only grow up to a certain point, after which it actually will decrease while misfortune chiefly falls on those around the victim rather than the victim itself. It is unclear whether this simply is major misfortune in the form of the resulting social isolation, or whether excessive contact with SCP-17HU can cause regular humans to develop similiar qualities to the subject itself.

SCP-17HU itself has a highly amicable nature and appears to be largely indifferent about the negative impact it has on nearby humans; even though it will occasionally complain that the misfortune is not intended to be theirs. The subject has repeatedly demanded to be released or given more misfortune to stockpile, but as the former would make it a threat for the general public and the latter might give it enough power to perform a containment breach, there currently are no plans for less restrictive Foundation protocols.

ADDENDUM_1:: Subject has expressed its annoyance over the fact that it has to send back all the nagashi-bina dolls because those it receives are "broken" and "won't move". Implications of this complaint are still being evaluated.

*OBJECT CLASSIFICATION*: Keter

*SPECIAL CONTAINMENT PROTOCOLS*: SCJ-02HU currently is stationed within Foundation Outpost Omega-Y4, 150 sea miles off the nearest coastline. While in active mode, SCJ-02HU can be housed in a standard human containment unit and may be treated much like a regular child of its apparent age range. While in active mode, SCJ-02HU is to be locked within a reinforced class TXT-60 Safe. The safe holding SCJ-02HU during its active state must be locked at all times.

No more than ten Foundation employees may occupy Omega-Y4 at any time. Foundation-owned military vessels situated on the edges of an extensive perimeter around Omega-Y4 must intercept and, if necessary, destroy any ships, aircraft, or submarines attempt to reach the outpost.

*DESCRIPTION* SCJ-02HU is a diminutive humanoid creature standing at around one meter tall. While in passive mode, the subject is largely indistinguishable from a young human girl so long as the insectile wings growing from its back are ignored. Its hobbies include drawing, singing, and light gardening work.

Once every year, during the vernal equinox, SCJ-02HU will enter an active state. While in an active state, develops the obsessive compulsion to announce that 'Spring Has Arrived!'. This in itself would be little more than an annoyance, were it not for the fact that SCJ-02HU for all intents and purposes becomes indestructible, and the fact that SCJ-02HU speeds up slightly with every individual towards which she announces the arrival of spring.

This effect is manageable if SCJ-02HU is kept in isolated containment areas with no more than ten other individuals present. I was not manageable when SCJ-02HU first was brought into Foundation custody in Sit Alpha-C2, which housed close to 600 Foundation employees, scores of D-Class personnel , and several dozen humanoid SCPs that were considered viable targets by the subject. By the time SCJ-02HU had announced the coming of spring to the last surviving person of Alpha-C2, it is estimated that it had reached a terminal velocity at an excess of 2500 m/s, which puts at the rough muzzle velocity of a projectile fired by railguns as under experimental development in various modern military forces.

Had Alphha-C2 not been situated in the middle of the largely uninhabited central Russian Taiga, even higher speeds and far mode wide-spread destructive potential could have been the consequences, with experts suggesting that kinetic energy unfurled by SCJ-02HU if released in or allowed to reach densely urbanized cities such as Tokyo or Greater Mexico could potentially lead to a Class IV Extinction event scenario or [REDACTED].

O5 command as of today has refused any and all recommendations to instantly kill SCJ-02HU while she is in passive state; arguing that "she is cute" and that "she doesn't mean it".

*OBJECT CLASSIFICATION*: Safe

*SPECIAL CONTAINMENT PROTOCOLS*: Both specimens of SCP-036HU are to be kept in a one (1) cubic meter vivarium, furnished with a small dome-shaped structure, a six (6) inch basin to be filled with water once daily, a second six inch basin for excretion, and a third for feeding, filled twice daily.

SCP-036HU specimens are to be given any "toys" they request, provided they are within reason (see Document 036HU-VF).

Once daily, the specimens are to be given fresh water, and twice daily they are to be fed. Waste must be cleaned twice daily. These tasks will be performed by Level-1 personnel.

Specimens tend to be cooperative with Foundation personnel, but personnel may scold or admonish specimens if they misbehave or attempt to breach containment.

*DESCRIPTION*: SCP-036HU is the designation given to what appears to be a species of sentient humanoid heads. The two specimens in containment, designated SCP-036HU-A and SCP-036HU-B, are about one (1) foot tall and one (1) foot wide. SCP-036HU appear to be a type of sentient "manjuu", a Japanese pastry.

SCP-036HU-A has black hair, a red bow with red braids in its hair, and calls itself [REDACTED]. SCP-036HU-B has blonde hair, wears a black, pointed hat, and refers to itself as [REDACTED]. Specimens are known to refuse to cooperate with Foundation personnel if not referred to by their self defined names.

SCP-036HU are capable of speaking, albeit in very broken and juvenile language. Specimens seem to be primarily concerned with "taking it easy". Research into this objective is ongoing.

SCP-036HU-A and -B have claimed that other specimens of their species exist. Foundation agents are presently unaware of any other specimens outside of Foundation custody.

ADDENDUM_1: On [REDACTED], SCP-036HU-A declared to Foundation researchers that it was "pregnant". A physical evaluation of 036HU-A yeilded inconclusive results.

*SPECIAL CONTAINMENT PROCEDURES*: SCJ-01HU is to be kept in a 3x3x3 reinforced ferroconcrete chamber with an external wall thickness of no less than 50cm. Said chamber must be surrounded by further walls of equal thickness at 3m intervals until a total distance of no less than 250m from the outermost wall to the inner chamber is achieved. No Foundation personnel may directly approach SCJ-01-HU for any given reason; and surveillance of the target may only take place via remote surveillance equipment.

*DESCRIPTION*: SCJ-01HU ostensibly appears as a middle-aged Japanese male with a notably wiry body build. Over the course of multiple containment breaks and subsequent recaptures by the Foundation, the subject has been shown to invariably wear glasses and a distinctive green flat-cap, although other clothing articles may vary wildly.

The introduction of beer or beer-like substances within a radius of 400m will cause SCJ-01HU to initiate a series of to disappear and reappear up to five (5) meters closer to the beverage, with each subsequent "jump" being performed after a shorter interval than the previous one. Upon coming into physical contact with the beer, SCJ-01HU will drink it; with no signs beyond moderate alcoholic intoxication regardless of the involved quantities of beer. Should the beer in question be in the physical possession (i.e, held or carried) by another individual, SCJ-01HU will track down the victim, materialize in front of it, and intently smile at it for a period between three (3) to six (6) seconds; after which the victim immediately ceases to exist and the beer carried by it will be safely deposited for SCJ-01HU to drink.

Allowing SCJ-01HU to drink more than 25 liters of beer within a single feeding cycle will cause it to produce a pen and a piece of paper from regions unknown, and to create a crude drawing of another HU-class specimen over the duration of approximately fifteen minutes. Finished drawings possess three effects: Firstly, humans directly exposed to one of the subject's drawings will begin to show a form of fanatical religious reverence towards it, making it their personal and all-overriding quest to protect it and to worship it by creating drawings with superior artistic quality based on the original one produced by SCJ-01HU. Secondly, the HU-class specimen drawn by SCJ-01HU will be instantly transported to the subject's current location, regardless of its previous whereabouts and whether or not they were in Foundation custody. Thirdly and finally, drawings by SCJ-01HU that do not match any known HU-class specimen will promptly cause the unknown specimen to come into existence somewhere within the Japanese isles.

Given SCJ-01HU own predatory behavior and the potentially catastrophic effects of its drawings, the Foundation currently deems it the single most dangerous element currently in custody within the Foundation's East-Asian branch, and has undergone great lengths to guarantee that the subject can not produce new HU-specimen in an uncontrolled fashion.

*ADDENDUM_1*: A request to confront SCJ-01HU with SCP-CWC to see whether the latter's ability to destroy original content may stunt the former's ability to create it has been denied on the grounds that it might threaten the stability of the space-time continuum.

*OBJECT CLASSIFICATION*: Euclid

*SPECIAL CONTAINMENT PROCEDURES*: SCP-18HU is not currently under Foundation Custody. In the event that the subject materializes within reach of one or multiple Foundation employees, said employees are required to attempt and calmly coerce the subject into leaving the container it currently resides in. If this attempt is successful, all potential escape routes for SCP-18HU are to be blocked and the subject must be brought into Foundation Custody. Appearances of SCP-18HU within Foundation sites and areas are to be documented and compiled to establish potential movement patterns.

To reduce the credibility of civilian sightings involving SCP-18HU, the Foundation is financing an ongoing disinformation campaign that portrays the subject as an urban legend and provides various fictional accounts of it on relevant online forums and imageboards.

*DESCRIPTION*: SCP-18HU appears to be a young Asian female of approximately six (6) years of age. Subject has noticeably pale skin, green hair tied into pigtails, and wears a traditional Japanese with an Obi sash tied around it. In spite of its appearance, SCP-18HU casts no shadow and is not registered by thermal scanners; making an organic nature unlikely.

SCP-18HU is almost invariably found crouching in or hanging onto the inner edge of an open-topped, cylindrical container; with potential habitats ranging from large buckets to barrels to the opening of water wells and larger drill holes. Following initial theories that the subject can spontaneously manifest within any such structure at will, Foundation researchers by now theorize that SCP-18HU instead may connect two cylindrical containers within the boundaries of the Japanese isles via wormholes or similar space-time anomalies; allowing it to cross vast distances within an instant.

Based on limited vocal communication with the subject, SCP-18HU can not (or can no longer) choose nor predict the seemingly random destination when passing through a wormhole created by it, and the repeated exposure to awkward and/or life-threatening situations after moving to another container has only worsened what is deemed to be a pre-existing avoidant personality disorder in the subject. Thus, SCP-18HU will readily use its ability to flee from real or perceived danger even when confronted with the fact that it may only wind up in an even worse situation; making capture of the specimen exceedingly difficult. With SCP-18HU having repeatedly (if likely unintentionally) infiltrated Foundation sites, the quick capture (or elimination) of the specimen before it can leak information about aforementioned sites to the general public or other groups of interest nonetheless remains a top priority of the Foundation's Asian branch.

ADDENDUM_1: Though reported sightings of SCP-18HU suggest that it can manifest within suitable containers all across the Japanese isles, mathematical models still show that the subject has a significantly higher chance of manifesting inside or near Foundation sites than in any of the myriad other potential locations across Japan. Whether this stems from SCP-18HU actually retaining some degree of control over its ability or whether its randomized effect is somehow influenced by artifacts or entities stored in Foundation sites is not known at this point in time.

ADDENDUM_2: Following severe cranial trauma and long-term incapacitation of Agent ____, Foundation personnel involved in the capture of SCP-18HU are advised to take caution when approaching the subject in a suspended container.

Hijiri: Not inherently malevolent, but thinks humanity can peacefully coexist with various Keter specimen; attributes their genocidal behavior to misunderstandings. Doesn't have much beef to her other than buffing her physical stats to vastly superhuman levels.

Seiga: Walks through walls and is a complete bitch. How to contain?

Utsuho: Walking nuke. Containment protocols would be similiar to security measures for a nuclear reactor. Other anons said they wanted to write this one.

Parsee: Envious as fuck and vodoo dolls up the arse. Other anons said they wanted to write this one.

Ichirin: How do we get her from manifesting Unzan to beat the shit out of all involved parties?

*OBJECT CLASSIFICATION*: Keter

*SPECIAL CONTAINMENT PROTOCOLS*: SCP-19HU is to be suspended within the center of a spherical ferroconcrete cell with a radius of at least five (5) meters. The containment cell must be situated no less than 1400m below sea level, and must maintain a constant interior temperature of -15° C. No other sentient Keter-class specimen may be housed in the same site as SCP-19HU.

Suspension of SCP-19HU is to be achieved via several chains wrapped around the subject's arms, legs, and torso. Applied chains must be blessed by dignitaries of the Taoist faith once monthly in order to produce a sedative effect on SCP-19HU which places it into a comatose state. Blessings may be delayed to allow for interrogation of the subject, but SCP-19HU must not remain awake for more than six (6) hours at any given point in time to prevent mechanical failure of the chains.

In the event that one or multiple HU-specimen listed in document HU-G12 perform a successful containment breach, the security detail attached to SCP-19HU is to be tripled until escaped specimens have been returned to Foundation custody.

*DESCRIPTION*: SCP-19HU is an Asian female of Japanese descent, with an apparent age range between 20-30 years of age (based on interrogations and behavioral patterns, actual age is estimated to be significantly higher). Subject has a recognizable physical feature in the form of its hair, which has a purple tone at the base but turns blonde towards its end. Testing has shown the unusual coloration to be natural.

The subject's primary anomalous nature lies in its ability to drastically enhance its own physical capabilities. While in an enhanced state, SCP-19HU has - among other things - been shown to be capable of dodging bullets, retaining acute vision in low-light environments, suffering no adverse effects upon a direct hit with a stun grenade, as well as lifting and throwing objects with a mass in excess of five (5) metric tonnes. Dear Colleagues,

To remove any ambiguity: The database entry for SCP-19HU does contain several pieces of information that are exaggerated at best and blatantly false at worst. The subject does not run around freeing Keter-class specimen (Safe and Euclid only), those freed by it have not produced 150 casualties (and actually act surprisingly docile while under its supervision), and its approach to potentially dangerous subjects is merely naive, not as pathologically insane as outlined in the database entry. And yes, current evidence suggests that there actually is a however infinitesimal chance that SCP-19HU's oversight could potentially lead to harmonious human-SCP relations with a number of selected specimen in a long-term scenario.

Why is none of this shown in the database entry, you ask? Because we already burned through a sizeable number of researchers, security officers and even Taoist priests who got it in their head that releasing SCP-19HU and letting it take all the other SCP specimen it wants with it is a genuinely good idea. Apparently the colossal security risks, information leaks, loss of both scientific and economical benefits for the Foundation, and the uncovering of the Foundation's true nature to the public itself are entirely negligible so long as the Madonna of Site J-12 can smile.

We do not know whether it is the fancy hair or some kind of hypnotic waves radiating from its ferroconcrete cocoon, but close to 30% of the people who had one form of contact or another with the subject will begin displaying what I can only call an almost religious reverence towards it, complete with the burning desire to set it free. For heaven's sake, just Monday Security Chief Katsuhiro underwent a complete nervous breakdown and started bawling his eyes out on my office desk; moaning that he could no longer bear seeing "something so pure" dangling from the roof of the containment cell.

*SPECIAL CONTAINMENT PROCEDURES*: The Foundation currently upholds a maritime exclusion zone with a diameter of 20 nautical miles around the resting place of SCP-37HU. The exclusion zone is publicly marked as a live-fire testing ground for the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) and its perimeter is patrolled by Foundation-owned military vessels bearing the insignia of the organization.

Tests to measure the anomalous effect of SCP-37HU must only be performed with boats staffed by a skeleton crew of D-class personnel. Robotic vehicles are to be used for the repair or replacement of cameras and sensors inside SCP-37HU.

*DESCRIPTION*: SCP-37HU is the wreck of a large, single-masted wooden ship that lies on the ground of the Pacific Ocean near the Takuyo-Daini seamount, 174 sea miles off the coast of Japan. Although the ship for all intents and purposes appears to be a conventional naval vessel and shows many features commonly found in pre-modern ships of the East-Asian region, its design so far appears to be unique and can not be attributed to any single ship classification.

In its current state, SCP-37HU projects a roughly circular field with a radius between six (6) and ten (10) nautical miles whose extend mirrors that of the lunar phase. In the event that a seafaring vessel (including submarines, see Incident Log 37HU-4) with at least one human on board enters this anomalous area, saltwater will spontaneously begin to manifest within the ship's holds, with increasing proximity to SCP-37HU itself leading to a faster flooding of the affected ship.

Ships sunk by this effect will curiously never suffer any critical structural damage even when they impact on the bottom of the sea, and in fact will be pushed back to the surface by hitherto unidentified powers after a period between one to two weeks. While the exact process by which these ships are forced to resurface currently remains unknown, the process presumably requires no small amount of power to perform, making it likely that these 'ghost ships' are carried back to the surface type of warning to other vessels.

Cameras and sensors installed inside SCP-37HU to monitor the wreck during the controlled introduction of ships into its active zone have picked up several anomalies during such experiments, most notably the apparition of a young human female wearing what appears to be a type of sailor uniform, subsequently dubbed SCP-37HU-1. Though the coincidental appearance of this entity with the sinking of a ship heavily suggests that it is somehow involved in the process, the extreme emotional distress displayed by the entity makes it unlikely that it plays an active or at least intentional role in it.

Further tests to clarify the purpose behind the presence of SCP-37HU-1 and attempts to communicate with it are ongoing.

'*CONTAINMENT HISTORY*: ' SCP-37HU was brought to the attention of the Foundation following several reports about a new 'Bermuda triangle' in its current location; beginning in late 2015. It is not known when exactly or how the vessel ended up at this resting place. Analysis of the damage on SCP-37HU's outer hull paradoxically is most akin to that suffered by airplanes moving through volcanic clouds of ash. but theories according to which the ship was capable of actual flight so far have been discarded due to a lack of evidence.

*SPECIAL CONTAINMENT PROCEDURES*: SCJ-03HU currently resides within a cozily furnished furnished room within the residential block of Site J-03. As the subject stays with the Foundation by its own choice, no significant containment procedures are required.

Due to high demand, therapeutic meetings with SCJ-03HU must be scheduled one month in advance, with employees on Keter-class duty receiving preferential treatment. When released to stop the containment breach of other SCP specimen, SCJ-03HU must not be accompanied by any Foundation personnel.

*DESCRIPTION*: SCJ-03HU is a female of Asian descent in her late thirties. Subject is smiling at all times and, while capable of more complex speech, chiefly vocalizes by repeated mutterings of the phrase "Ara, ara".

SCJ-03HU has a deeply affectionate personality and will actively seek out and console humans near it that show signs of emotional distress. Direct bodily contact with the subject in the form of being hugged by it, sitting on its lap, receiving headpats by it, and facial contact with the subject's breasts in particular cause a rapid build-up of serotonin levels in the receiver's body; leading to a nigh-instant feeling of comfort and inner peace. Therapeutic sessions with SCJ-03HU for as little as half an hour have been proven to have a profoundly positive effect on the recipients' mental health; allowing them to cope with traumas that would normally require months of counseling to overcome and reliably erasing any self-harming or suicidal tendencies.

During the containment breach of another sentient SCP specimen, SCJ-03HU may be asked to take care of the issue. If it accepts the task, the subject will move in on the escapee and tell it that it is very disappointed by its behavior. This has a devastating emotional impact on the target, causing it to break down crying on SCJ-03HU's shoulder for a duration between six to fifteen minutes before it can be escorted back to its cell without resistance. A 2km perimeter outfitted with cameras, heat sensors, and motion detectors has been installed around the entrance to the structure in order to detect and intercept and potential intruders.

Expeditions inside SCP-20HU may only be performed D-Class personnel. Encounters with SCP-20HU-1 are to be reviewed for behavioral analysis of the entity.

*DESCRIPTION*: SCP-20HU is a circular, pagoda-like structure whose roof and top floor were uncovered after an earthquake near __ in Nara Prefecture, Japan. Based on its Asuka-period architectural style, the Foundation currently estimates the structure has been built between 600 to 700 AD, although samples subjected to radiocarbon dating and other material testing has consistently yielded data implying that SCP-20HU was only constructed in the late 19th century.

As the dense rock in which the structure was built (or materialized) into makes it difficult to unearth its lower tiers without risking to damage SCP-20HU itself, exploration of the structure currently is limited to its interior; with a collapsed section of its roof serving as an entry point. Video evidence shows that the rooms and furniture inside SCP-20HU have been preserved in a nigh-immaculate state and heavily suggest that the structure was used as a mausoleum or other type of burial site. Despite of this, no human remains other than that of perished D-Class personnel have been found inside the structure as of today.

Exploration of the deeper levels of SCP-20HU is hindered by the presence of a mobile anomaly labeled SCP-20HU-1. Camera feeds show this entity as a hovering orb of light that appears to patrol the structure, presumably beginning in its lowest level and then moving upwards until it reaches the second-to-last level, disappears, and then repeats its patrol route.

Through unknown means, SCP-20HU-1 is capable of producing and directing extremely powerful electrostatic discharges in a form resembling that of a lightning strike against chosen targets, causing severe thermal burns and potentially death due to cardiac arrest or damage to the victim's nervous system. The likelihood of SCP-20HU-1 attacking an individual seems to be determined by several different factors: It grows more aggressive the deeper the victim ventures into the SCP-20HU, and entering certain chambers will cause SCP-20HU-1 to break off its currently patrol cycle and track down the target immediately. The last recorded seconds of D-3014's video feed show what appear to be the remains of a single human in resting position within the center of the chamber before the test subject turns around and is assaulted by a translucent female figure whose body terminates below the waist. The relation with this figure and SCP-20HU-1 is unknown, but following this incident, the entity displayed markedly more aggressive behavior and a higher likelihood of attacking test subject for a duration of three months.

*SPECIAL CONTAINMENT PROCEDURES*: SCP-09HU is to be contained in a climate-controlled 9x9m cell with an ambient temperature of -10° C and a relative air humidity of 5% or below. Air humidity may be increased for experimental purposes or as a reward to the subject for cooperative behavior, but should never exceed 30%.

To limit potential aggression on the part of the subject, research personnel interacting SCP-09HU should agree with any and all statements made by SCP-09HU concerning its own superiority. Under no circumstances may involved personnel question or mock the subject's cognitive capacities.

As SCP-09HU has repeatedly tried to breach containment due to feelings of boredom or loneliness, the Foundation currently employs trained caretakers to provide companionship and entertainment for the subject. Attempts to provide child-oriented education and psychological counseling to SCP-09HU are ongoing, but have been proven difficult due to the subject's personality.

*DESCRIPTION*: SCP-09HU resembles a female human child between 8 to 10 years of age with a ring of six (6) octahedral blocks of ices hovering behind its back. The subject appears to be organic and shows expected metabolic functions, but does not strictly require nutrients and instead powers itself by absorbing heat from the surrounding air; giving the erroneous impression that it radiates coldness rather than body heat.

This process is imperfect - if SCP-09HU is exposed to temperatures in excess of 30° C for extend periods of time, its body will take in more energy than it can safely store. The subject can temporarily avoid overheating by transferring excess energy to and gradually melting the icicles attached to its back, but nonetheless will begin to liquefy as a result of rapid cellular breakdown if exposed high temperatures for prolonged periods of time. As a result, SCP-09HU is most comfortable in sub-zero conditions, where it can easily maintain its energy household.

Other than powering itself, SCP-09HU can also use its heat-absorbing capabilities by focusing it on specific objects rather than its general vicinity. This allows it to compress and transform air moisture into sharp projectiles of ice that are launched via kinetic bursts fed from the very energy drained to produce them, but the subject can likewise freeze projectiles heading towards it in order to alter their trajectory and speed. Its ability to freeze living biological entities appears to be limited to cold-blooded animals such as frogs, though it still can lower the body temperature of warm-blooded animals to produce effects in line with hypothermia. SCP-09HU so far has strictly refused to directly absorb the body heat of humans, stating that it is "yucky".

The potential damage SCP-09HU could inflict upon Foundation employees and property with its anomalous ability is greatly limited by the subject's child-like personality and the intellectual deficits it displays even when compared to other children of its apparent age range. However, said deficits also produce a deep-rooted inferiority complex in SCP-09HU, and the subject will frequently assert that it is "the strongest" or otherwise dominant over others as a form of compensatory behavior. Challenging such claims - be it by disagreeing with the subject's self-assessment or by forcing it to face its own inability to live up to them - will frequently trigger violent outbursts on the part of the subject in which SCP-09HU may seriously harm or kill its perceived opponent and nearby bystanders. SCP-38HU is to be kept within a standard 5x5 humanoid containment cell in the psychological ward of Site ___. Contact with the subject is only to be made while it is wearing Foundation-supplied earmuffs. Experimental testing of the subject's anomalous abilities while it is not wearing earmuffs may only be performed by D-Class personnel.

*DESCRIPTION*: SCP-38HU is an adult Asian woman with blonde hair and yellow irides. When asked for a personal background, subject claims to be the true individual behind the semi-legendary Prince Shoutoku of the Japanese Asuka period. This statement initially led to a diagnosis of schizophrenic narcissism linked to delusions of grandeur in SCP-38HU, but its intimate knowledge of the historic ruler himself and various events that transpired during his reign does imply a more tangible relation. Research into this matter still being ongoing.

The personality of SCP-38HU can best be described as that of a social butterfly - highly charismatic, it can easily gain the favor of and influence over the people it interacts with. The natural interpersonal skills of the subject are further amplified by its limited telepathic abilities, which allow SCP-38HU to register the subconscious desires of all humans and entities of similar cognitive ability within hearing range; notably even when multiple individuals are present.

Unless this skill is suppressed by forcing the subject to wear earmuffs* or similar noise-reducing headgear, SCP-38HU will use this anomalous ability and attempt to place itself in a position of power over its various conversation partners; typically by promising to aid them in achieving their respective desires in exchange for their help. Given enough time, the subject can use this method to accumulate enough social influence to use more advanced methods such as blackmail or the creation of cult structures to solidify its own power, and, in the long run, will seek to install itself as the moral and/or authoritative leadership figure of any social group it is introduced to.

Despite of its apparent sociopathic behavior when manipulating other individuals, SCP-38HU does not appear to be incapable of feeling empathy and, on the contrary, has justified its relentless pursuit of power on the grounds that it requires said power to both aid individuals and for the betterment of society at large; with itself as the perfect leader. In-depth psychological analysis of the subject indicates that the concern it professes for its perceived inferiors is genuine; making it likely that SCP-38HU is afflicted by an extreme variety of the Helper syndrome - essentially giving it a pathological urge to help others even if it first has to produce circumstances to ensure that its target actually requires help and remains in a position of dependency.

Attempts to confront SCP-38HU with the often catastrophic consequences this behavior has produced in the past have been largely ineffective, as the subject considers any damage and loss of life stemming from it as a necessary evil required to reach a greater good. Whether it earnestly believes this or merely tries to avoid the severe mental trauma that accepting the responsibility for its actions might bring about can not be proven with absolute certainty.

*CONTAINMENT HISTORY*: Following its capture during a raid on a Taoist cult that had been observed to use anomalous objects to attract new members, SCP-38HU made no attempt to avoid custody and instead expressed its wish to aid the Foundation in protecting humanity.

Over a period of two (2) years, the subject managed to gain the trust of several key researchers and other Foundation employees of Site _; its presence and experience being considered a major boon as it contributed to greatly improved containment protocols for other HU-specimen (most notably SCP-__) and, on four separate occasions, actively assisted Foundation forces recapturing escaped specimen after a containment breach.

Faced with the testimonies, SCP-38HU eventually revealed its telepathic ability and admitted that it ultimately was responsible for the containment breaches (including the considerable loss of life resulting from them), but insisted that they were necessary because its previous warnings about potential issues in pre-existing containment procedures had been ignored.

With a sigh, Ran Yakumo pulled the clothes back onto her body. She no longer took solace in the delusion that the rapacious old lecher of a doctor had ever had even a flicker of genuine scientific interest in the particulars of her anatomy, but at least she had undergone the same old routine of the "physical examination" enough times that she no longer felt the burning shame when he was staring at her.

Before she left, Mistress Yukari had ordered her to accept her imprisonment by the humans, and to await her return. It had been close to five years by now, but even so Ran did not dare to defy her ladyship's word. Too strong was her bond as a shikigami. To terrible the potential punishment Mistress Yukari would come up with should her master plan be foiled by an unruly underling.

Besides, unpleasant as it was, working with the Foundation in many ways still was a preferable alternative to some of the things it did to specimen that were deemed uncooperative. Some things she had heard from researchers. Others she could hear even through the reinforced ferroconcrete of her containment cell.

If she played nice, on the other hand; if she did as the doctors told her, certain little rewards awaited her. Her first reward was no longer being forced to devour sedatives and other mind-numbing drugs in quantities that would send a regular human to sleep forever. Her second reward had been access to a strictly limited number of combs and cosmetics which she had used to give her hair and tails some direly needed attention. Her third reward had been a viewscreen that offered the minimal illusion of privacy although she fully expected that hidden cameras in her cell could film her anyway.

Little by little, reward by reward, Ran Yakumo had come to terms with her fate. Unless Mistress Yakumo was coming back to get her, there was not much use in rebelling. No, she would remain patient. Do what she could to minimize the suffering. Wait for her next reward.

What was the next reward, anyway?

This was odd. Being the only small rays of light in her life, Ran had never forgotten what the next reward waiting for her was. Dr Saisho already had turned his back on her and was about to leave the cell when the realization hit the shikigami like a thunderstrike and she involuntarily gasped for air.

With a raised eyebrow, the elderly scientist turned towards the specimen. "Was there something else, SCP-44HU?"

Ran's breath had become rapid; her nervosity making it difficult to concentrate as she desperately clawed for the right words.

"It...it is just Dr Saisho...that - if I continue to act in a cooperative fashion - you promised you would...."

By the barrier, how could she have forgotten this of all things? How?!

"...you would try and see whether you could convince the administration to give me and Che-.....SCP-45HU a shared cell.''

"Did I, now?", Saisho said while taking off his glasses and giving them an appraising look.

"Yes, doctor! You said that . . . because of the unique relationship between her....SCP-45HU and me...that it could have a mutually positive effect on our mental health"

"Ah yes, I remember now." The doctor had placed the glasses back onto his nose, giving him the look of an owl eying a mouse. "After all, you had repeatedly asked to have SCP-45HU relocated into your cell. And it would make quite a bit of sense; reuiniting the two of you."

".....so?", Ran whispered; her entire essence focused on holding back the anticipative tears of joy as she thought of embracing her little kitten.

"Well," Doctor Saisho said. "I am afraid that is entirely impossible right now".

There was no tone in the voice of the shikigami. Perhaps in her desperate attempt to defend itself, her mind plainly refused to understand what the human had just uttered.

"SCP-45HU is no longer situated in this Site. It was transferred to another institution to take care of its pedagogic and pediatric needs."

Ran's mouth opened and closed in quick succession, breathless forming words heard by no-one. Slivers of liquid began to accumulate on her lower eyelids.

"It are, as I am sure you understand, most unfortunate circumstances very much out of my control, but let me assure you that SCP-45HU will receive proper treatme-.."

"You promised." The sentence was as blunt a statement as it could be, as if Ran had casually stated that the sun is yellow and one plus one equals two.

The doctor began to show clear signs of annoyance. "I promised", he sighed, "to do everything in my power. This exceeds my power. I was under the impression that something with your cognitive faculties should be able to grasp that."

"You. Promised." Although tears now began to make their slow descend from the face of the shikigami, her expression was completely blank. Most of her was still computing the implications of the human's words.

"Bah; so what?!" The unexpected resistance from the normally docile subject seriously began to bother Watashiro Saisho. "Do you I think I hold myself accountable for the wishful thinking of every miserable specimen in this Site? What do you think this is? A mother-child vacation? Stop your pathetic whining or I promise you that every little luxury we have spoiled you with will be removed from this chamber post-haste!"

""YOU. PROMISED''".

As the fur on the many tails of Ran began to rise, the researcher took an involuntary step back. Even through the wide robes that the subject had requested for clothing, he could see how every muscle in her body began to constrict; writhing snakes under a skin that had grown pale without the warming light of the sun.

"YOU PROMISSSSSSSED"

The human spun around stumbled towards the exit of the cell, but he never had any chance to begin with. The shikigami was upon him in less than a heartbeat; a tempest of insane maternal anger roaring with a sound that no human throat could produce. With a wet noise, Ran buried one hand inside the screaming mouth of the mortal and tore out a sizeable chunk of his left cheek, while her other buried into his right eyeball and transformed into a bloodied ruin.

She continued to slash and claw at the body even when its only movements had been reduced to spasmodic attempts to breath through a punctured larynx; even when the sound of fast-moving combat boots entered the containment chamber. It was only the sudden impact of a rifle butt with her forehead and the loss of consciousness resulting from it that forced her body to slump off the bloodied wreck that remained of the late Doctor Saisho.

Ran was dreaming. She was sitting on a blanket in a lush, green meadow. A picnic basket brimming with slices of fried tofu and other delicacies was sitting at her feet, while the murmuring of the nearby river gave the scene an incredible air of tranquility. Birds chirped up in the trees, and the wind bore the fragrance of a hundred different flowers, all of them in full bloom. But the argent smile on her face did not stem from either of these things - it was the presence of Chen, her shikigami that made this very dream a dream. Carefree as ever, her little kitten frolicked around; laughing and running so fast that her cap was at constant risk of being blown from her head.

By virtue of her enormous age and the wisdom it brought about, she knew none of this was real. She also knew giving in to the illusion would only harm her already battered psyche even further. But it was not as if any of that still mattered - following the untimely demise of Doctor Saisho some three months before, her waking existence had been turned to that of a rabid beast. Though most of her human handlers agreed that the good doctor likely would still be alive if he had chosen a more tactful approach towards SCP-44HU, the poor state of his mortal remains also had convinced them that the specimen was not human and thus was not worth the effort to be treated like one. His words proving prophetic, all the little luxuries her obedience had earned Ran were taken away from her, and she had been moved to a new cell that was even more cramped than her first one.

What bad could it bring to indulge in pleasant thoughts when reality was so bleak? Chen was no longer in her reach, and Mistress Yukari might as well have chosen to leave her to rot after her shigikami had defied a direct order. Surely no-one would fault her if she would just...

With a gasp, Ran Yakumo awoke. Still dizzy, she cursed the loud noise that had torn her from her mental paradise; a rare treat in a time when she spent most of her sleep in black, mindless torpor. That she had been denied it due to what likely was just distant thunder....but no. Wait. Even by conservative estimates, she was several hundred feet under the earth, in an old mining complex the Foundation had repurposed into a Containment Site. No thunder here, only rock and concrete. But there it was again, that booming noise. She could even feel a tremor in the ground under her.

The sudden blaring of alarm sirens outside of her cell quickly confirmed the theory that had begun to take form inside the shikigami's head: There was a containment breach; someone or something running amok inside of the base and letting out its pent-up anger on anything that had the poor fortune of coming before its eyes. Ran was not particularly opposed to the idea of seeing her jailers slaughtered by the dozen, but in her weakened state, her chances of surviving the potential encounter were hardly stellar, either. The fact that the sound of detonations and now gunfire, too, seemed to be rapidly coming closer was not to her liking.

Even as she rapidly paced up and down inside her cell trying to come with a plan, the infernal racket outside grew louder. Screams began to fill the air as research personnel suddenly found their god complex to be quite fragile when the subject of their research was not locked inside of a cage. They were joined by another sound; a shrill, screeching note like the brakes of a train rubbing against its wheels at full speed. Before she had the time to imagine its source, the door to her containment cell collapsed in upon itself and the origin of the surrounding mayhem entered the room.

The thing - and Ran really had no better word to describe it - shared some similarities to a praying mantis. The main differences being that it was close to eight feet tall, entirely consisted of piston-driven steel, and had an impressive battery of wildly whirring buzzsaws on each of its forelimbs. Two eyes glowing with mechanical malevolence zeroed in on her, and the faux insect slowly began to move towards the shikigami; its sheer size in the small cell alone cutting off any escape routes.

Whatever hopes of making it out of the facility alive Ran had harbored in her mind bade their prompt farewells. Judging by the copious quantities of blood and the numerous notches on its metallic body, the faux insect had encountered no small amount of resistance from the humans and their gunpowder weapons, but this did not stop the killing machine from operating at peak efficiency. Already pressed against the wall behind her back, she could do nothing but watch as the head of the aberration extended on a telescopic neck until its scraping mandibles were only inches away from her face.

Taking a deep breath, Ran closed her eyes and prayed that at least the abode of Lady Yuyuko was still intact.

But the pain did not come. A short series of clicking sounds was met with a buzz of disapproval, and she could hear how the visage of the faux insect returned back to its main body. When she reopened her eyelids, the beast already had turned its back on her and was in the process of leaving the cell, seemingly having ruled that she was not relevant to its particular interests.

It took a while for her to understand what just happened. Then she fell into hysterical laughter. The fact that she was not human - the very reason why she was in the custody of the Foundation in the first place - had just saved her life. Much like her own nature as a shikigami forced her to obey a certain set of commands, so was the shikigami in control of the mantis bound to certain target parameters. And she was simply not inside of them. It was entirely logical, yet the whole situation felt so absurd she could almost imagine the beast giving her an indifferent shrug before trotting off.

She was still giggling when she entered the observational deck connected to the containment cell. It had been turned into an abattoir; a dozen bodies spread on its floor in various states of dismemberment. Some of the faces that still were recognizable looked familiar, but she paid not attention to them. In light of the still audible sound of rifles and the screech of metal that cut it silent, the rest of the security personnel still was busy fending off the mechanical horror. She could use the ongoing chaos to flee. All she needed was some sort of map so she would know where to find an exit.

Her gaze locked onto the screen of a nearby computer, one of the few that was not smashed in or sliced in half. She understood enough of these machines to know that the researchers could not use them without certain passwords, but if she had just a twinkle of luck, the man who used to operate this machine had not found the time to remove his security credentials.

Fate was on her side. Wiping spatters of blood from the screen, Ran was greeted by her own entry in the Foundation's database. She was about to close the catalogue in search for the emergency exit plans that would have to be somewhere on the machine as well, but a small addendum at the very bottom of her article caught the shikigami's attention.

Following the death of head researcher Dr Saisho's death in incident 44HU-1, no information about ______ is not to be made available to the subject under any circumstances.

Ran's hands began to shake as she struggled to command the alien machine.

I know you and your team are well aware of the physical carnage that oversized bug of yours is capable of causing (and please give my condolences to the family of poor Shozo), but I strongly suggest you expand your research to cover the presence of potential telepathic or other psychoactive weaponry that SCP-4014 might possess.

I am writing you of this because we currently have a bit of a conundrum with one of the HU-specimen under my supervision. As you already know, SCP-4014 broke into the cells of various other specimen during its last containment breach, including that of SCP-44HU. When the mobile task force restored order down here, they found SCP-44HU lying among the dead bodies and smashed computers in the observational deck next to its cell.

We naturally did a thorough medical checkup, but while we found no injuries whatsoever safe for some cuts on the right hand (presumably inflicted while it was trying to defend itself from SCP-4014), the subject's mind is gone. It still follows basic commands and so forth, but I tell you, SCP-44HU is dead on the inside. I don't know how, but the only logical explanation I have is that the mantis for some reason attacked SCP-44HU and performed the mental equivalent of breaking 44's neck.

Please understand that I don't want to tell you what to research or what not, but if 4014 actually can pull off that trick and has additional targeting parameters we don't know of, it better should be in the records.

With a casual stride in stark contrast to the fact that she had just sliced a high-security door to pieces, Yukari Yakumo entered the cell and began moving towards Ran at a very relaxed pace. The shikigami was proverbially dumbfounded, and for a moment she simply stared at the gap witch with eyes wide agape. Then the spell was broken - tears rushing down her face, Ran Yakumo stormed towards her mistress, outstretched arms seeking to pull her into a tight embrace and to never let go again.

"Milady", Ran cried, "milady, I thought you...".

Her lament was cut short when Yukari Yakumo gave Ran a resounding slap on the face that sent the kitsune stumbling backwards until she unceremoniously landed on her behind. Sharp, burning pain instantly set one half of her face on fire, and she struggled to crawl away from the attacker.

"Tell me, Ran", Yukari began. Her face still bore a wide smile, but to her growing horror, the shikigami realized that it was about as genuine as money handed over by a tanuki. She had served under the gap witch long enough to know that Mistress Yakumo was likely fuming on the inside, and that this would translate into even more pain for her.

"Tell me, Ran. What were the orders I gave to you when I allowed the humans to catch you?" She mockingly placed a finger on her lips and raised her head as if she did not actually know the answer. "Was it to tear apart researchers in a rather disturbing display of psychotic behavior? Did I order you to make absolutely sure that the humans would see you as a raging monster rather than as a harmless girl that would cause no trouble even if allowed outside of its cage? Or did I command you to sabotage the elaborate web of plans and intrigues I had spent a considerable amount of time and resources on over the last few years?"

Yukari let out a theatrical sigh. "Oh, but that wasn't it, was it now? Because, if I remember correctly, I told you to remain OBEDIENT and COOPERATIVE towards the humans until I come and get you. But then, suddenly, several of the very nice friends I managed to make inside this institution suddenly don't want to talk to me anymore and you are moved to another cell whose location I could no longer acquire via said friends. Say, Ran.....have you, perhaps, been NAUGHTY?"

Ran whimpered like a beaten dog. Yakumo Yukari was very fond of her favorite tool, but a tool that didn't work properly or even acted against its intended function necessarily had to be removed and replaced. "T-they took her away", she stammered with a shaky voice. "They took away my Chen even though they promised we could...."

"And WHO, my dear, do you think was responsible for the relocation of Chen into a facility that isn't a monolithic maximum-security unit? And WHO, do you think, would have been the next person to follow her in a matter of a few weeks followed by a tearful reunion?"

All color drained from Ran's face and cold sweat ran down her neck like icy raindrops.

"No. No no no no no NO! This can't....I-i did not mean to...."

Whatever pretense of mild amusement Yukari had displayed before vanished. Reality itself began to quake as the Border of Phantasm was overcome by anger and dropped just a bit of its human illusion.

"For how long have you served me, Ran Yakumo? Has it not always worked out so long as you retained your trust in me and the role I gave you in the play at stage? But NO, you have to fall for your own pathetic mommy complex and undo all the work, all the effort to coerce the humans into bringing you back under my control. Do you have any idea of how many thousands of hours of work you erased with that little temper tantrum of yours?!"

Hands clenched into fists, the gap witch closed her eyes and took several deep breaths. The storm was gone as quickly as it had come.

"...but anyway, we shall discuss this - and your punishment - at a later opportunity. For the time being, we must act quickly to minimize the damage done by your foolishness. But before we leave, there is something I would like you to see...". Paying no attention to the squirming of Ran, Yukari grabbed the still crying shikigami by the arm and dragged her towards the exit of the containment cell.

The labyrinthine corridors of the facility resembled a war zone. The lamps that normally flooded them with sterile white light had given out, only to be replaced by the orange glow of emergency lights and sporadic fires that fed from burst gas pipes. As they passed by numerous intersections, Ran could see that many tunnels had caved in after their walls and ceilings had been removed from existence. Another hallway was blocked by the entire length of a mangled train that had seemingly been rerouted from its original destination without further notice. Exposed power lines rhythmically blew forth fountains of sparks like miniature volcanoes, and detonations in other sectors of the facility still sent pulverized concrete raining down from above them at regular intervals.

Despite of this, not a single human - dead or alive - crossed their path. Ran's fox eyes could easily make out the signs that there had been fighting - entire lines of bullet holes, dents and craters made by explosives, even the occasional puddle of blood. Yet the ruined passages they moved through were entirely devoid of human life or death.

"Milady...if you wished to reach me, why did you not just open a...."

"Things work quite a tad differently in the outside world as they did in Gensokyo, dear. My means of travel unfortunately are now limited to places whose precise location I already know, and given that your little act of insolence saw you placed in a cell whose location I did not know, I was forced to take a more traditional approach." The gap witch carelessly kicked away one of the small, fast-firing rifles that was no longer in possession of its owner. "And besides, their behavior when I politely asked for directions towards you was rude in the extreme. People should know better than to needlessly draw the ire of a lady."

"You went through all of this to save me, mistress?"

"Your actions left me with little other choice, Ran. It admittedly was my own mistake not to feign enough disinterest after your act of disobedience, but although it took them long enough, the humans have realized that I do hold a certain affection towards you - affection which they sought to use against me. I won't bother to list all the rapacious acts they threatened to perform on you unless I could bring myself to sign their infernal contract, but suffice it to say, I found the proposed conditions to be thoroughly underwhelming."

"But...you could have just left me here! A shikigami that fails to serve its master is not worthy of salvation! There is no reason for you to....."

Yukari grabbed the kitsune by the shoulders with a grip so tight that it hurt, her eyes staring into that of her servant with a mixture of cold anger and...pain?

"Not a single further word, Ran", she hissed through her teeth. "Not. A single. Further. Word."

Their intimate moment was interrupted by the distant sound of feet and shouts moving in their direction. With an annoyed grunt, Yukari Yakumo opened a gap and pulled both Ran and herself through it.

To mortal men, the world between worlds was a nightmarish realm; a dark, purple void whose nonexistent walls were covered by myriads of unblinking eyes following the observer's every move. For Ran Yakumo, it was home; the motherly womb that had protected her from harm and injury countless times over the centuries. Nonetheless, the tension between her and Lady Yukari meant that the familiar landscape had a dark and foreboding tone to it.

"What...what do we do now, Mistress?", the shikigami inquired. The gap witch, her back turned towards her underling, initially seemed to ignore the question, but eventually turned her head to face Ran. "Though I should like to see all but a few of our compatriots from Gensokyo liberated from the uncouth hands of the humans, there are two girls in particular whose continued existence and safety is of crucial importance to my personal peace of mind", she explained. "Sadly I do not have the slightest clue as to where they are held, of if they are held by the Foundation at all. Yet if they are, overly aggressive probing on our part will quickly lead the Foundation to use them as another means of blackmail against my person."

The shikigami rapidly cycled through a mental list of potential candidates, taking into account both their importance for her mistress and for Gensokyo proper. There were many that played important roles in one form or another, but still...

"We are looking for the Red-White and Lady Yuyuko, are we not, mistress?"

"You are correct about the shrine maiden. Yuyuko, on the other hand, is very dear to me indeed, but I trust even the Foundation would not dare to actively insult a woman who can become Death Incarnate if you go out of your way to provoke her. No, our second target is...". Yukari had stopped in mid-sentence, her mouth still open. "Our second target is of interest once we get there. See it as a surprise, if you will."

"Anyhow." The gap-witch straightened herself. "Speaking of surprises, I have another one still in store for you. I am fully aware that I presumably should not do this and that handing you a gift of this magnitude is the perhaps single most fatal mistake when I should be punishing you for your failure to obey but....oh, what the hells. Some things are simply not meant to be separated."

With a flick of her hand, Yukari Yakumo opened a gap and moved her arm into it. When she pulled it out again, her fingers were gripping the collar of a red dress, inside of which was a young girl who looked as surprised to see Ran as Ran was surprised to see her.

Happy to hear you liked it - I thought a good ending would be nice because the original one was dark to the point of being stupidly edgy.

That being said, I'll probably focus on more regular SCP-HU entries for the time being. Longer stories require much more time than one or two-post entries, and the latter are helpful to "canonize" what exactly a given 2hu can and cannot do.

I still want to to do something with the Moriya shrine, especially if it involves Kanako tearing the Foundation a second asshole if they so much as imply doing nasty shit to Sanae, Because pissing off a proverbial goddess is not a good idea. Also, Kanako showing an oddly affectionate side in contrast with her normally greedy personality.

Also Suwako scaring the shit out of everyone with behavior fitting for her ancient age rather than her loli appearance

*SPECIAL CONTAINMENT PROCEDURES*: As SCP-39HU has not shown any inherently dangerous abilities and generally is eager to work with Foundation researchers, the subject presently only requires minimal containment procedures and is housed in a standard humanoid containment cell. Requests for additional furnishings or recreational material made by SCP-39HU may be granted so long as they do not breach security protocols.

Inquiries by SCP-39HU about confidential data requiring security clearance up to Level 2 may be accepted so long as they are strictly related to the search for SCP-40HU and are approved by local Site Administration.

To maintain a cooperative atmosphere, SCP-39HU should be referred to as "Miss Usami" during direct interaction.

*DESCRIPTION*: SCP-39HU is a young woman which apparently has been subjected to temporal dislocation after attempting to reach [REDACTED] by passing through an anomalous Torii inside a Kyoto shrine complex. Based on information and documents provided by SCP-39HU, the subject is 21 years old, was born in Tokyo in 20___, and studied physics with a focus on string theory at Kyoto University when it was transported to the present time.

While the subject's act of accidental time travel can neither be confirmed nor denied beyond absolute doubt, the description of the future world given by SCP-39HU closely resembles predictions about political, ecological, and technological developments made in long-term scenarios by Foundation analysts. Given its academic activity, SCP-39HU also has an understanding of physical science that goes well above and beyond current standards. Collaboration between SCP-39HU and Foundation researchers to implement data and methodology known to the subject into the existing scientific canon is still ongoing, but already has led to a number of remarkable breakthroughs in quantum mechanics and other fields.

By its own account, the attempt of SCP-39HU to enter [REDACTED] was motivated by the disappearance of ___________ (tentatively registered as SCP-40HU); a close friend of the subject and the single other member of the "Secret Sealing Club" in which it was part of. SCP-39HU concluded that SCP-40HU was somehow "sucked into" [REDACTED] after having increasingly vivid dreams about the area and could no longer leave without outside help. The subject thus began to perform extensive research on the anomalous area and eventually learned of an old legend describing a link between it and the outside world, but the torii that supposedly acted as said link instead sent SCP-39HU back through time for unknown reasons.

After learning about the assumed collapse of [REDACTED] and the presence of multiple specimen from within it in Foundation custody, SCP-39HU has formed the theory that SCP-40HU likewise may have been relocated to our present reality. The Foundation currently has employed a number of field agents in search of SCP-40HU, but the chances of finding the specimen are considered minimal, and the search is primarily performed in order to promote continuous collaborative behavior in SCP-39HU.

ADDENDUM_1: Following the introduction of SCP-39HU into Foundation custody at Site J-15, there has been a spike in the reported sightings of SCP-____ in or near the site. *DESCRIPTION*: SCP-40HU is a contingency designation for a 22-year-old female from the year 20__ that may have been involuntarily relocated to [REDACTED], and may have been subjected to temporal dislocation to the present time after the apparent collapse of the anomalous area . Subject is a United States citizen of mixed Greek-Irish descent, has been studying psychology as an exchange student at Kyoto University, and was last seen wearing a purple dress with a white mob hat.

Based on accounts by SCP-39HU, SCP-40HU appears to be capable of detecting weakened sections or links in the space-time continuum and may use these to project a physical avatar of itself across both vast spatial distances and into locations that are not or no longer are part of conventional space. The extend to which the avatar of the subject can interact with entities in the target destination is unclear, but SCP-40HU reportedly has managed to bring back smaller items from such places and may also have displayed wounds as well as a possible infection with contagious agents after her avatar was attacked.

Subject supposedly claimed to be part of a family with a history of self-described seers and other individuals with anomalous qualities. It appears the unique skill of SCP-40HU was largely inert before its twentieth birthday, with her move to Japan and the stress of university life in a foreign country perhaps serving as a trigger event of sorts.

It appears that the subject's ability initially was limited to unintentionally projecting its avatar while asleep, leading to its own belief that its ventures to [REDACTED] simply were elaborate dreams. It later evolved, allowing SCP-40HU to intentionally project its own avatar and one of SCP-39HU when sleeping inside Shinto shrines; each shrine allowing the creation of an avatar inside a location with another shrine to the same kami. Before her eventual disappearance, the subject's ability had further evolved, causing it to see alternative realities even when awake, and allowing SCP-40HU to share these visions with SCP-39HU by covering the latter's eyes with its hands.

There currently is little doubt that the description of the subject's abilities by SCP-39HU are genuine; firstly because SCP-............. has confirmed an encounter with SCP-40HU in [REDACTED] during one of the latter's dream-travels, and secondly because the detailed drawings SCP-39HU has produced of [REDACTED] almost fully match up with the early design documents of a top secret project the Foundation currently is planning in cooperation with the Japanese government. 1. Rather than directly moving to the target location, SCP-40HU could only explore these environments via avatars; its actual body still remaining in the original location. Its disappearance could equally likely be the result of an abduction by groups taking an interest in its ability, including, ironically enough, the future Foundation.

2. Even if the ability of SCP-40HU had evolved to the point that it could transport its actual body to the target destination, the subject has visited various different localities, and hence may have ended up in [REDACTED] rather than [REDACTED]

3. Even if SCP-40HU was transported to [REDACTED] against its will, there is no guarantee that the latter's presumable collapse did not just sent it back to its own time of origin, rather than causing the temporal dislocation SCP-39HU underwent after it entered an anomalous torii that possibly was never intended to transport the user to [REDACTED] in the first place.

As such, the presence of SCP-40HU in this reality and this point of time is, while possible, deemed extremely unlikely by Foundation scientists.

Video footage captured by the cameras inside the containment cell of SCP-41HU must run through specialized digital filters in order to prevent an hypnotic effect on any viewers. Unless required for experimental purposes, no more than one (1) Foundation employee may be present in the subject's containment cell at any given point of time.

In the event of a containment breach, the sector currently housing the subject's containment cell must undergo a full lockdown, including a block on all communications or broadcasts from the respective sector. The area will subsequently be flooded with gaseous sedative agents in order to pacify any affected Foundation employees while elements of Mobile Task Force Omicron-6 ("The Jesters") will incapacitate SCP-41 with high-caliber ammunition.

DESCRIPTION: SCP-41HU is a juvenile humanoid female measuring 105cm in height and weighing approximately 25kg. Subject has anatomical deviations in the form of two (2) insectile wings emerging from its back, as well as the stark-red coloration of its irides. Despite of having no direct known connection to the United States of America, SCP-41HU wears leggings and a shirt with a pattern matching its flag, and refuses to wear any other clothing.

Though the subject displays an energetic but otherwise docile personality when alone or faced with a single individual, the presence two or more humans will cause SCP-41HU to manifest a torch within its right hand, light it via unknown means, and then wave it across its head; often while enthusiastically announcing that it is "Lunatic Time".

Visual exposure to the lit torch of the subject (even if through secondary sources such as security camera feeds) will invariably put human observers into a state of uncontrolled homicidal rage that can only be avoided via specially designed protective lenses; causing them to attack and kill any nearby other humans until they themselves are killed or fall unconscious if no further targets are present. SCP-41HU itself will use the ensuing chaos to chase for further victims and will perform systematical searches of its current environment to affect as many people as possible; using sustained danmaku fire to blast open low-security doors or to rout individuals out of suspected hiding places.

Despite of the numerous fatalities that follow from its actions, SCP-41HU does not have an inherent desire for human death, and indeed has shown to grow increasingly annoyed as the fighting around it dies down alongside the combatants. Current theories suggest that SCP-41HU plainly sows chaos for chaos' own sake, and a review of the subject's 'search pattern' across three different containment breaches shows that the subject prioritizes those areas where rampaging humans could produce the most structural damage to the Site, even if the hysterical laughter it emits while running across hallways gives the impression of completely spontaneous behavior.

In light of the bizarre difference between the subject's passive and aggressive behavior, as well as the surprisingly methodical approach in its seemingly random movement pattern during containment breaches, leading Foundation researchers have come to believe that SCP-41HU may have undergone brainwashing to turn it into a living terror weapon; with its passive behavior resembling its original personality and its aggressive behavior being a later addition that only becomes active under certain conditions. Whether or not psychological therapy could reverse this process is currently being evaluated.

My idea was that Junko "upgrades" Clownpiece with her lunatic behavior (by virtue of purifying her into lifeforce incarnate). Problem is that I need to keep the entries shortish for layout reasons - otherwise there would also have been mentions to Clownpiece being nigh-invulnerable to small arms fire (being life incarnate, she heals wounds faster than you can inflict them if you don't use heavy weapons), and the primary threat of Clownpiece being her breaking out and driving the entire world insane via internet vids.

I still plan to give an alternate Clownpiece article which basically has her as Sadako from Ringu - less emphasis on Clownpiece herself and more on multiple "cursed video tapes" featuring her that drive the viewer(s) insane.

*SPECIAL CONTAINMENT PROTOCOLS*: To prevent civilian access to SCP-41HU, a 10 kilometer exclusion zone has been established around it under the guise of a live-fire exercise ground maintained by the Japanese Self-Defense Forces (JSDF). A security perimeter consisting of steel fences, thermal cameras, and Foundation patrols ensures that any potential trespassers will be intercepted, interrogated, and released after being administered class-B amnesiacs.

D-Class personnel ordered to approach the anomalous entity must be equipped with lifelines that allows Foundation agents to tow them back until they no longer are subjected to the hypnotic effect of SCP-41HU and can be terminated off-site. Eight (8) marksman teams that monitor the anomalous entity on a 24-hour basis have been instructed to eliminate any and all individuals that get within less than 100 meters to SCP-41HU.

*DESCRIPTION*: SCP-41HU is an extremely large and aesthetically pleasing Japanese cherry tree (Prunus serrulata) that has manifested within [REDACTED] , Japan. The exact date of its transition to this world is unknown, but aerial footage of the containment area shows that the tree has been present since at least 20__, which coincidences with the start of a series of missing people cases in the area.

Observing SCP-41HU while in its effective range produces a powerful hypnotic effect in human viewers that draws them towards the tree and invokes the desire to rest under its branches. The intensity and range of this effect depends on the general psychological state of the target - a human that is aware of the tree's nature and mentally is at ease will only find it difficult to resist its hypnosis within a 500 meter radius around it, whereas individuals suffering from heightened stress levels, clinical depression, and similar factors may be irresistibly be drawn to it from ranges exceeding one kilometer. In particular, individuals who have attempted to perform brb gensokyo in the past will be fully under the control of SCP-41HU as soon as they get within sight range.

If a victim is allowed to fall asleep under SPC-41HU, a section of the tree's trunk will open to reveal long, vine-like appendages that will grab the still-sleeping victim and drag it inside the tree; presumably to deposit them in a type of digestive complex. SCP-41HU only consumes living prey and will ignore individuals that have been killed before it could reach them, even when the latter should retain their nutritive value.

Though the correlation between the two events is unclear, devouring a human will cause a single blossom on SCP-41HU to bloom without showing signs of wilting. Assuming all blooming blossoms on the tree are the product of this effect, SCP-41HU is estimated to have devoured several thousand people over the span of its lifetime, the vast majority of them presumably while still situated in [REDACTED]. Foundation scientists do not have a conclusive explanation for the purpose of this mechanism at the current time, but faced with the risk of the tree undergoing reproductive behavior once in full bloom, head researcher Dr Eboshi has issued a temporary moratorium on the introduction of D-Class personnel to SCP-41HU for experimental purposes.

*ADDENDUM_2*: Although repeated checks have shown that no information breach regarding the existence of SCP-41HU to the public has taken place from the side of the Foundation, rumors about a "wonderful cherry tree" regularly reappear in surrounding population centers, and the number of civilians trying to enter the exclusion zone has seen a notable increase in the last few months. Research into the origin of these rumors is ongoing.

*SPECIAL CONTAINMENT PROCEDURES*: SCP-42HU is to be housed inside a standard 5x5 humanoid containment cell equipped with adequate furnishings. As the subject's primary anomalous behavior only becomes active during the autumn season (approx. early September to early November; dependent on local temperatures) and it currently is deemed fully docile, SCP-42HU should be offered recreational and (light) occupational activities during the remainder of the year to prevent erratic behavior.

During autumn, the subject is to participate in long-term testing sessions stretching over as much of the season as possible to gather a maximum data output during the limited available timespan. If no testing sessions have been planned, SCP-42HU nonetheless should be allowed to use its ability inside wooded areas under Foundation ownership, as failure to use it produces a state of extreme emotional distress in the subject.

In order to generate the necessary faith needed for the continued existence of SCP-42HU, a Foundation-owned publishing company has been ordered to produce and promote the children's book series ''Shizu-Chan Turns the Leaves Red", in which a character resembling the subject educates young readers about various autumnal natural phenomena.

DESCRIPTION: SCP-42HU resembles a juvenile human female with blonde hair and amber eyes. Despite of its apparently young age, the subject is fluent in several antique dialects of Japanese as well as at least three unknown languages which may date back to the Jomon period.

While SCP-42HU does not show any abnormal abilities outside the scope of other HU-specimen (namely self-powered flight and the ability to fire danmaku projectiles) for most of the year, it gains the ability to alter the color of foliage to various hues of red and orange within a 25km2 radius during autumn months.

Unlike the natural process, which produces this effect from an interplay of decreasing chlorophyll levels and the production of anthocyanins which are used to ward off various aphid species, SCP-42HU instead "paints" (using its own phrasing) each individual leaf across hundreds or thousands of trees. Close investigation has shown that this process in fact entails the nigh-instant manipulation all cells within a leaf on a molecular basis, with each cell being assigned a randomized level of chlorophyll and other pigment cells that gives every single corresponding leaf an unique coloration.

Notably, the subject does not alter each cell one at a time, but will affect all cells in all trees within the effective range of its anomalous ability at the same time to produce an effect nearly indistinguishable from its natural equivalent; with trees further away from SCP-42HU only suffering a minimal delay in the change of their color levels. Given that this implies the subject can manipulate more than [REDACTED] molecules within its effective range virtually instantly, attempts to train SCP-42HU in manipulating other types of cells have been ongoing, but, so far, unsuccessful.

Though the garden is primarily used as a testing location for the subject's anomalous qualities, a part of its has been designated as a recreational area for the SPC-43HU; allowing it to keep itself occupied outside of its seasonal activity phase. Requests for plant seeds made by the subject may be granted so long as their cultivation poses no security threat.

As the subject's active phase only stretches across a limited lifespan, SCP-43HU should undergo enduring experimentation within this period in order to provide sufficient quantities of scientific data. The Foundation deems nine (9) hours of downtime (including sleeping hours) sufficient to guarantee peak efficiency and cooperative behavior in the subject.

While SCP-43HU shares the usual anomalous properties of all HU-specimen (namely self-powered flight and the ability to fire danmaku projectiles), the subject's primary trait of interest only becomes active in the months between the annual summer solstice and the traditional Nimame-sai harvest festival (usually September 23rd). During this timespan, agricultural areas in a 30km radius around SCP-43HU will be subjected to several beneficial effects related to crop growth: Affected plants will produce highly elated levels of growth hormones; soil conditions will improve to provide additional nutrients, and parasitic organisms that might affect the crops undergo rapid cellular decay. The subject may furthermore be able to influence the local weather to provide irrigation in the form of rain and opportunities for photosynthesis via intense sunshine, but available data related to this phenomenon is inconclusive.

Aside from this indirect effect, SCP-43HU may also directly manipulate and increase the physical size of plant life; including non-crop plants. The extend of this ability varies according to the source material - most organisms can be enlarged to a maximum of twice their regular mean size, but certain plants can be scaled up to [REDACTED].

Despite of thorough testing, Foundation scientists so far have been incapable to describe the precise mechanisms behind both the indirect and direct abilities which SCP-43HU gains during its active phase. *DESCRIPTION*: SCP-44HU is a contingency designation given to one or multiple shapeshifting entities that are suspected of having infiltrated Foundation sites on at least [REDACTED] different occasions by taking on the appearance of and impersonating local personnel.

Unlike many other specimen already in Foundation custody, the polymorphic ability of the subject does not appear to be limited to any singular form, nor is it illusionary in nature - based on limited available information, SCP-44HU can alter its own body to become a near-perfect copy of its intended target down to the genetic level, with physical differences being limited to minute details such as missing contact lenses or other features that can not normally be spotted in plain sight. While the subject will also attempt to copy the regular behavior of its target, this process is far more imperfect, as SCP-44HU seemingly does not possess any information about the individual it is disguising at other than what it may gain from previous observation.

The shapeshifting abilities of the subject may not be limited to its own body. In at least four instances, objects such as keycards or research papers left behind by what is thought to be SCP-44HU eventually turned into maple leaves. Likewise, at least two researchers that were accompanying what is presumed to be a disguised SCP-44HU suddenly disappeared after the entity left the Foundation site; only for janitorial personnel to find two racoon dogs hiding in the ventilation vents of the structure later on. The fact that the same leaves and animals still are regularly found by Foundations employees on a regular basis strongly suggests a relation with and continued activity by SCP-44HU, although whether or not it can also transform other objects remains unknown.

Attempts to explain a potential motivation behind the actions of SCP-44HU so far have been largely inconclusive; chiefly because no proper pattern can be seen in the information that the subject is thought to have acquired. Potential instances of the subject have shown interest in anything from other HU-specimen to more conventional SPC articles to completely trivial things such as the menu of cantinas within Foundation sites. As such, espionage still remains as the singular most likely driving factor behind the intrusions of SCP-44HU, but it might equally be the case that the subject seeks to destabilize the Japanese branch of the Foundation by necessitating increasingly higher security standards, and a minority of researchers even suggest that its incursions only serve for its personal amusement.
