Balance is a foundation element of all god things. And give that we have lots of lewd and/or happy 2hus, I think we also ought to have a thread with sad 2hus.

Sir, won't you leave a donation at the shrine? I-it doesn't have to be much, just a little bit is okay.
I-I'm sorry Sir, I really don't mean to pester you. It's just that fewer and fewer people come to visit the shrine recently....and its getting kind of difficult to....
No Sir, please just don't leave! I beg you! Please

...with a snapping sound, the ofuda broke. And so did the barrier. Memories flooded back to the thing that used to be Yoshika Miyako; the thing that now remembered it used to be Yoshika Miyako. Music and poems. The gentle rustle of leaves within the wind. A distant roar as waves hit upon a rocky shore. Calligraphy under the warm glow of a candle.
Then there was darkness. When it receded, the world was bathed in twilight, its rich colors reduced to foggy shaded of grey. Everything had been dulled down - Yoshika could no longer feel the warm rays of the sun on her skin. Sounds were muffled as if her head was underwater. Even pain, sharp and stinging, only existed as a weird, tingling sensation.
At least she could still taste things. There were sweet cherries and sour apples, the metallic flavor of blood and...the warm tenderness of still-living flesh and...the musky softness of bloated bodies, torrents of liquefied organs showering her tongue with every bite. A mock kiss as she bit off the front of a man's lower jaw. Even with her impaired hearing, she remembered the distinct gurgling noise he made while she was chewing on the better part of his larynx.
Yoshika Miyako trembled as every fiber of her reawakened consciousness screamed to throw up, but the responsible nerves no longer functioned. The nausea as she imaged the blacked, necrotic pieces of tissue and lumps of coagulated blood in her stomach was unbearable. She fell to her knees, her body convulsing as the desperately tried to reject to eject the rotting flesh inside her.
When the Wicked Hermit returned soon after, Ofuda in hand and sardonic smile in her face, Yoshika did not even attempt to resists. She no longer wanted to remember.

Sanae tried not to think about it, but every now and then her mind slipped back to her parents and the rest of her family in the outside world. Sure, she had Lady Kanako and Lady Suwako who essentially acted as her new family, but still...
What did they think of the daughter that had suddenly disappeared after yet another of her routine visits to that old shrine? Had she been abducted? Was her mother suffering terrible nightmares in which she, again and again and again, saw how Sanae was raped and murdered by some masked man?
Or perhaps even worse, her parents might think she just ran away. There had been some bad blood between them based on her increasingly odd behavior and her constant conversations with what her parents thought were imaginary friends. With her being gone, they might be thinking Sanae ran away from home, that she hated them so much that she never wanted them to see again.
Knowing her mother, she would keep her room exactly as it was when she left it, in the vain hope that Sanae would someday come back. She would still clean it and open a window every so often to let some air in. And then she would fall to her knees, her head on Sanae's bed, and bawl her eyes out while sobbing that she is sorry. Father, for his part, would spend even more time at work, desperately trying to distract himself from the idea that all the long hours of overtime he had spent on the job were the very reason why his little girl was gone. That, in his attempt to earn enough money to let Sanae visit a good university in a few years, he had lost what he had so much tried to protect.
-----------------------------------
When Kanako Yasaka finally found her wind priestess, the girl had been reduced to a shaking, whimpering mess. A torrential downpour of tears sprang from her closed eyes, and her shaking lips soundlessly formed the names of her parents in an infinite cycle. With a sad smile, she sat down next to her and, in a move most people would not expect from someone of her position, lifted the girl onto her lap; pressing her head against her shoulder while stroking through her hair. As Sanae returned the embrace, the ancient Yamato goddess softly began to hum a lullaby that had not been heard since the dawn of time.

Haha, expanded TL/DR:
Sanae tried not to think about it, but every now and then her mind slipped back to her parents and the rest of her family in the outside world. Sure, she had Lady Kanako and Lady Suwako who essentially acted as her new family, but still...
What did they think of the daughter that had suddenly disappeared after yet another of her routine visits to that old shrine? Had she been abducted? Were her parents suffering terrible nightmares in which they, again and again and again, saw how a struggling Sanae was dragged into the woods by a masked figure, never to be seen again? Had a heavy-hearted police officer told them that the search operation for their daughter would be stopped after hundreds of men, dogs, and even helicopters with thermal imagers had not found a single trace of the girl?
Or perhaps even worse, her parents might think she just ran away. There had been some bad blood between them based on her increasingly odd behavior. Clearly uneasy about the fact that Sanae, a young woman, was still conversing with what they thought to be imaginary friends, they had gone out of their way and sent her to a psychologist. For a girl that always had been known as "the weird one" in school, this effectively was a social death verdict, and to say that she had been unhappy about it would have been an understatement. There had been shouting. A girl who locked herself in her room as soon as she came home. Heavens, she very nearly got into a physical fight with her mother when the latter forbade her to go to the shrine.
Her parents had all reason to believe Sanae hated them. Enough to leave their house. Enough to never return.
Knowing her mother, she would keep her room exactly as it was when she left it, in the vain hope that Sanae would someday come back. She would still clean it and open a window every so often to let some air in. And then she would fall to her knees, her head on Sanae's bed, and bawl her eyes out while sobbing that she was sorry. They had been desperate to help her; their only child. Like any loving parents, they had lived for her, worked for her. Had mad sacrifices beyond number. But Sanae was gone.
When Kanako Yasaka finally found her wind priestess, the girl had been reduced to a shaking, whimpering mess. A torrential downpour of tears sprang from her closed eyes, and her quivering lips soundlessly formed the names of her parents in an infinite cycle. With a sad smile, the goddess sat down next to her and, in a move most people would not expect from someone of her position, pulled the human into a tight embrace; her hand gently stroking through the green hair.
In truth, it had been cruel of her and Suwako to take Sanae with them. They had warned her, of course. Had offered her more time to think through the irreversible decision she, still more child than woman, was about to make. But her own anger had clouded Sanae's judgement. The people at school called her a freak. Her former friends called her a freak. Even her own parents, though they would not say it, thought she was a freak. Well, she would show them. Once she was gone, taken away to a magical wonderland, they would cry for her to come back, but she wouldn't.
Or rather, she couldn't.
As the weeping priestess buried her head deeper and deeper into the shoulder of the divine spirit, Kanako Yasaka began to hum a lullaby; an ancient melody that had not been heard since the days when Kanako the Goddess still walked the earth as Kanako the Mortal. It was one of the few things she still kept from the time before she had ascended to her current form. A memory that was precious and bitter at the same time, for as much as she tried, Kanako could no longer remember the face of the one who had sung the tune to her. With any luck, Sanae's grief would crystallize and allow her to remember the ones that had loved her when she still was Sanae the Mortal, not Sanae the Goddess.

It's odd. There's a weird sense of beauty in a crying Kanako, but I can't see any reason (inb4 no faith for her) that would make her cry in such an emotional way. Her pride as a goddess would prevent it.
