just like previous years where 9/23 was the end of the world

Did you seriously expect something to happen? Was there even any reason to believe something would happen, other than some hysterical posts on /pol/? Christians have been screaming about the apocalypse for thousands of years, and they're always wrong. Ufologists have been saying that disclosure is near for decades, and we're still waiting. Lots of people thought that something big was going to happen on 21 December 2012, then when nothing happened, they said "well, it's just the beginning of a new era, you'll see…"

The truth is that we live in a boring world, and the few times something happens, it's usually some kind of disaster that nobody was able to predict, like 11/9 or Fukushima. I predict that sometime during the next 50 years, something truly horrible will happen, like another world war or a giant supervolcano erupting. And it won't be exciting. It will be scary. Enjoy the peace while it lasts.

LOL. Everybody knew this was bunk. Some mentally challenged conspiracy theorists tried to apply pagan arts to the Christian Bible and… what did you think would happen?

Ever notice how everything became more hectic and estranged since 2012? The rise of social justice to the point where it's entry into journalism formed the cataclysm that sent us here, ebola outbreaks, a television star being a better presidential candidate than anyone else, etc.

If one reads it without the Christian mistranslations and theological interpretations, the bible is actually a 'pagan' book, where it's clear that many gods exist. It's no different from reading other ancient pagan texts.

To be honest, no. Maybe if you're an american who was born in the last 20 years, then yeah, it might seem that way. But if you take an objective look at the world during the last century, the effect disappears. Just from a Western perspective, we've had 2 world wars in the span of 20 years. Now that's what I call hectic!

And after that there was the cold war, with the constant threat of atomic warfare, and the space race, and the sexual revolution, and the collapse of the soviet union, just off the top of my head. Americans had the war in Vietnam, which was a pretty big deal for that generation, although today no-one cares.

In my country, we had communist and fascist terrorism in the 70s, and in the early 90s we had a huge political crisis that led to the demise of the biggest parties and the rise of new ones, including a right-wing party owned by a charismatic businessman (who was demonised by the leftist establishment exactly like what's happening to Trump).

What we're witnessing is simply the culmination of some trends that have been growing for a long while. The social justice warriors are just the latest iteration of cultural marxism, or as some people say, third wave feminism. Feminism has been corrupting our society since the second half of the 19th century, and it's well known that leftism has been dominating the media at least since the 60s. Like all degenerative processes, the effects become more obvious as time goes on, which is why opposition to feminism has grown considerably as of late.

Gamergate is an example of this. It's not like social justice warriors didn't exist before, but gamers were able to ignore them because their hobby hadn't been touched yet. Many MGTOWs and MRAs are people who experienced first hand how insanely anti-male the system has become. Action-reaction. The internet has empowered the cultural minorities. Anti-feminists have always existed, but they had no power and weren't represented in the media. They couldn't organise very effectively because they were too scattered.

I guess what I'm saying is, there's nothing sudden about the recent developments. It actually took a long time for us to get to this point. It's only our ignorance and lack of experience that causes us to be surprised.

List of ~200 idiots who still tried to predict the apocalypse and failed despite all three books saying you can't:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_dates_predicted_for_apocalyptic_events#Religious-related_predictions

And the same guy who predicted 9/23 said the world would be radically changed by October after his prediction failed. It's now NOVEMBER and no world-shaking events have happened yet.
