/x/ is just one of the many boards on 8chan. It's called Paranormal but it's also about horror, conspiracies, weird creepy stuff in general.

The name changes once every few weeks or months, it's sort of a tradition here. It used to be Abominable Snowman, Werewolf, Poltergeist, Mr Anderson, etc…

8chan doesn't track IPs, at least no more than any other website. What are you talking about?

This is just one section of the site, /mu/ for music, /pol/ for politics, /k/ for weapons, etc. There are some many boards.

Anyway this specific board is meant for the posting/discussion of paranormal topics. They aren't limited to strictly paranormal discussions, there are conspiracy discussions, horror movies, basically anything that is within the real of paranormal or just weird.
