Pretty much all wars are over religious and economic reasons. Science is just a tool, neither good or evil until someone uses it. I could use a hammer to drive in nails, or use it on someone's head. Either way, the hammer is not at fault.

Not all religions are bad. It's mostly Abrahamic monotheism that causes wars (Christianity, Islam, Judaism). Pagans usually don't care if other people worship different gods. And science in itself isn't bad either, the problem is that modern science has become emancipated from philosophy and has become a slave to economic and political interests. When scientists are mere technicians and take orders from politicians, that's when you get the atomic bomb.
