Oddworld, Abe's Oddysee was one of my favorite game growing up. It had challenging logic puzzles, a great visual style, and an NPC communication and interaction system which I have yet to see replicated or improved upon.
Anyone know of other similar, yet unrelated games? I am especially interested in other games with player voice commands.

SON OF A BITCH. That game was the bane of my youth. Impossible.

Those speed platforming sections in Scrabania were insane.
This is how you do a story-driven game.

Hell yes. Exodus was even better. Seriously awesome dark games with insane cutscenes and settings. They've been completely redone in HD and will be released on Steam soon.

I am quite ecstatic about the HD remakes.
I love how the games implemented morality based consequences at the end. Failed to save the Mudokons? Have fun being a lollipop.
It was a shame they tried to make Munch's Oddysee 3D though, the game lost its precision of movement. The controls were rubbish and jumping became retarded.
It was still pretty damn fun running from angry predators in a wheelchair doing flips over land mines though.

>>498The HD remakes do away with the grid-based movement, though. They're still fun, but they don't feel as precise as the old ones.

Oddworld Adventures 2 was pretty amazing.
