/vr/ any tips for these levels in DK Country? I'm pretty bad at ice levels and with a lot of work get through the first two stages, but I have never gotten farther than that.And of course it isn't like I can go back and save right?

Did you use the shortcut for the first one?

Could always grind for levels so you've got 99 to use up.

I don't know what to tell you OP, I found these to be the easiest levels in the game even as a kid.

I won't tell you I didn't eat shit on these levels often, but I kind of agree. Something about the lack of control and the increase in pace meant I always charged through these levels blindly, and usually made it out unscathed.

Yeah, Ive just always had trouble with ice levels. Even back when I was first playing Kid Icarus I couldnt get past that section. Heck, even newer games with ice levels give me trouble.

But maybe I do just need to get going faster and try to speed through the level and that might be the trick.

That's something I picked up with, of all things, Goemon games; and that playing style solidified when trying to do Ninja Gaiden proper. My theory with platformers ever since has been thus: I am shit and incompetent. If you give me a million hours to measure this jump, I will still fuck it up. Best get it over with.

It's not about gittin' gud, anon. It's about becoming one with the flow of the level. Embracing the layers of parallax until you move between them to reach your goal. Seek the highest form of platform mastery and enlightenment. Expand your dong.
