>Best 1st party rail shooter of the generation

>top 5 action game of the generation

>Best 1st party multiplayer arena of the generation

>Best game of one the best games on one of the best selling family of consoles ever

>creator felt proud enough in it to dedicate a fun gimmick emulating the games dialogue in a stage and add 2 characters from it to smash.

>Mixed reviews and feedback due to having unconventional controls

Has there ever been a game more scammed out of having massive praise.

You can almost never bring the game up without one retard who's not played it going on about how weren't the controls really awkward when the only people who think that are soy boys who can't hold 230 grams of plastic.

Literally release it on any other system. I don't know why Nintendo are such stubborn fucks about these things sometimes.

Not as bad as Kid Icarus, but IGN's review of PMD is pretty infamous. Things to keep in mind about PMD: EoS while reading the review:

>Game has one of the longest soundtracks on the DS (if not the longest on the DS at over 6 hours,) yet they have the audacity to write it off as repetitive

>Game is the most beloved in the entire series, some anons have said they cried at the ending

>Game was given a worse score than EoT and EoD (6.5) which are both just inferior versions

>Game is very meaty, with a lengthy story and potentially hundreds of hours worth of content

>>16940727

If you can find 10 other 3DS games you want to try go for it, Kid Icarus is an excellent game that really showcases all of the system's capabilities.

Kind of a problem, since the controls are something that could only be done with a responsive touch screen and an analogue stick.

On higher difficulties you need to move the character so quick and fluently that only a stick would work and aim so fast and precise it would be difficult even with a mouse.

I suppose they could give the option to use motion controls in addition to the right stick for added precision like they've done in other games. But considering how intense the game can get, it can be difficult to keep the controller steady.

For mouse controls you'd need to implement like right mouse to be like a flick confirmation button so you can do quick 90 and 180 degree turns like on the touchscreen where it can see you've done a flick motion on the touch screen to spin.

>it's best (good) but here's not why fuck talking about why the game is actually good

>creator (singular)

fuck off with this wanking off single people rather than the product that is the game

It deserves all the mixed reviews. It's a game that deserved to be on the Wii with proper motion control support.

Also

>best X Y Z of the generation

Really not much competition if you're being specific to the third degree, technically fourth.

It's got all the same problems a handheld monster hunter has.

Heads up people know there's an entire team who makes a game but it's easier to name off a single head then the entire long credits.

>One that's gonna hurt yer hands.

Refer to the last line of the OP

>>16940861

Not enough, you need a quick spin with full control of how much you're spinning. The ability to command in specific quick turns like that is what makes such a hectic game work because you really have 100% control.

I lift weights. It's purely an ergonomics reason why it's simply uncomfortable and no amount of strawmanning is going to change that fact. But you go ahead and hold something steady with one hand while trying to play a game on it in your free time since you enjoyed doing it so much during uprising.

>but it's easier to name

It has nothing to do with simply naming a single person. It has to do with fellating this person, attributing emotion (pride) as an appeal to our emotion to a single person. A notorious hack of a fraud manchild who has an addiction to plastic surgery and gives his autistic wife the job of designing trashy UIs. Yay nepotism! who has 360'd on a lot of interviews so it doesn't even matter since those interviews quoted are literal ads. And are essentially all lies for they are ads. Nobody cares what's easy. It's easier to not name anyone at all.

I liked it, but it did have flaws in that some weapon types stood over others and other types like clubs became liabilities on higher difficulties. The crafting system was also needlessly obtuse as far as getting the boosts you want on the weapon you want.

The quote function should not be used to put words into people's mouths. Everyone can read up the original quote. Not sure why you're trying your hardest lying like that on the internet and all. At the end of the day it's just a poor man's monster hunter without any lightgun support. Smooth 30fps gameplay though.

This game had such a good variety of levels, only issue was Viridi was never actually a boss fight in the game but I'll take the sets of aurum levels over one Viridi level.

I wish there was more documentation on the people who made the game while making it, because there enemies are like perfectly spread that the last level which uses all of them and with altered properties is so damn fun. Makes me wish there was some bloody palace equivalent with 100 waves of randomized enemy patterns .

Apparently people think on-rails is some kind of inherently inferior and antiquated style of game design as opposed to something that has a lot of it's own merits now. I have this argument every time Starfox comes up and I say I just want them to make an on-rails one with minimal gimmicks, and not some kind of Ace Combat space sim.

There's an indie game called Ex-Zodiac that I'm keeping an eye on. Not much else to speak of.
