This is a NISA stream of CS3 where they answer questions. These people's titles are Editing Overlord and Project Overlord respectively. The soyboy is the senior and lead editor then, and the woman is the Project Lead. Basically 2 people with notable seniority levels.
I haven't watched the whole stream (after speeding through 2/3 of it it seems like advertising/announcements/giveaway shit for their other games), but this part at 1:01:10 onwards has been sticking out to people.

tl;dr they are inserting memes, and changing dialogue and jokes for "cultural appropriateness" because sexism is bad and the Japanese aren't funny.
People should clip this part and spread them around on twitter or whatever social media you can tolerate using for the purpose of spreading this shit.
They were also complaining about how difficult it was because of complex vocabulary, terms, and "Fancy speaking" of certain characters, so many proper nouns, and "correct what they were saying" implying they weren't able to handle it all successfully. Happens around 46 minutes or so. They qualify by saying "that's what makes it fun" and "getting lost in the lore" (bad choice of words for people completely new to the franchise and also fucking screwed up on their marketing material for the game) but I have my doubts about anything that sounds even remotely positive for them; just sounds like PR.
They lacked knowledge on trails lore and did a "lore bootcamp", but only some actually played trails cold steel 1 and 2, and didn't even necessarily even play sky or crossbell, often just "reading up on it" like the project coordinator/lead translator said she did. Happens around 53-55 minutes or so.

To be fair, I've played a bit of Zero no Kiseki in Japanese and it does seem to intentionally make certain things more flowery than necessary and use obscure kanji that even some Japanese people look at and are like "the fuck is this?". So it's like the worst source material to give a crappy meme-factory translation team.

The fundamental problem with the very concept of "Localization", is that with weebshit, it's nothing of the sort.
The "Ideal" for localization is that a product for one market (Japanese Otaku) is supposed to be made easier to consume for customers in a completely different market (English/French/Spanish speaking weebs in North America). However, the problem with this is that companies like NISA keep hiring unfunny washed-up hipster writers who openly hate weebshit, rather than hire actual weebs to Localize their products, because washed-up hipster writers are good at networking on social media and weebs are terrible at it.
Effectively, companies like NISA keep hiring assholes from the wrong culture to localize their products, which is why we keep getting trash translations like this.

I don't think you realize NIS and NISA can survive in any situation and circumstance. NIS once lost 97% of their stock value but they're absolutely fine now.
The only way to cut off localization by this point would be to convince the japs, one of the most fiscally conscious and profit-valueing ethnicities, to financially hamstring themselves for the sake of preventing something as nebulous to the nip businessman as ethical decline.

From what I can tell, all the companies that did a lot of translations for small games in the 2000s and 2010s don't do many of those anymore. They mostly focus on their parent company's games, ie Atlus. XSeed still does some stuff outside of Marvelous!, but in terms of volume compared to NIS A it looks to be a lot less.

NISA handled the PC port for Ys VIII, which was the one that was used for Japan.
On the steam page, at least in the past you could see all the angry nips about how shitty the port was.
People were trashing NIS over in Japan over this.
I'd have to find the archives which might be a pain but there's a link in one of the old falcom threads on 8ch with thousands of comments on an japanese article trashing them, even through google translate one can easily see how much disdain is had for them over there, and for Falcom.
A few people there were even calling for XSEED because of their superior PC porting abilities, which I found funny.
Anyways, in the wake of that, Falcom ignored everything and continued the way they did.
