let me piggyback off the bear posting and let's post games where you play as different animals. let's focus on more unconventional animals, so try to steen away from cats and dogs

Turn this into a tokyo jungle thread or something and it might be salvageable, otherwise its just gonna be *blammed* since its a shitty template thread.

Odd to pander to such a small percentage of the population. Black males make up 6-7% of the US and no one in Africa is buying AAA games

More specifically, playing as animals where their innate features make them feel distinct from playing a human or anthropomorphic character - something that you couldn't just swap out a human for and make it work. Ecco is a perfect example of this shit - both the Genesis and Dreamcast games are fantastic adventure games.
I'd argue Spyro (at least 1-3, never bothered with the rest) also fits the bill. The way he moves and handles feels like you're controlling a quadrupedal animal rather than just a guy with the ability to glide and has a flamethrower.

RACOON
Has any game done what Sly did with its music and Sly's theme? Nearly every track in the trilogy has a few notes(the ones you hear at the start of every chapter) from Sly's theme in the background, as if he's even hiding in the music. I always found that a very neat touch

If arachnids and insects count, you can play as a Spider or Scorpion in Deadly Creatures and as a roach in Bad Mojo.

Snake pass is fucking dope. Awesome comfy.
Also, when you beat the game the first time you unlock the ability to highlight the little blue jewels so you can get 100% if you're missing some.

Oh it isn't. The mechanics are very interesting and, well, you're a snake. You move how a snake moves and your bird partner does all the snark.

Prototype 2 was fun, shame it completely fucked up the story and took like 7 hours to 100%. What's even worse is that the first game doesn't work on modern co computers
