I’m not much of a sub elitist, but the dub for three houses is objectively bad from what I’ve heard of it. I set the game to the jap voices from the start, they’ve been great. So who cares what they do with the english dub?

Since this thread is newer than the other, I’ll leave my small review of the game here.

~10 hours in, 4 chapters through, the games maps seem pretty clearly akin to awakening/gaiden/etc. Bland and uninspired. I gave a pass for the first couple, but the fog of war and underground chamber maps make it seem clear this will be what it is like the rest of the game. Maybe they’ll prove me wrong later, but I doubt it.

The in between school stuff isn’t bad, doing stuff in the hub world doesn’t take long. The unit customization is ostensibly broad, but in practice is limited by stat bases/growths. So your magic unit could technically go into a physical class, but they’d be pretty shit at it. I think it would’ve been better to go with fate’s class system, a few choices that are actually viable by design, as opposed to a bunch of fake choices. As a result, the “teaching” units to up proficiency is kind of wasted time, although it can be all automated by just setting what you want leveled.

The only thing holding my interest is the story, which is legitimately interesting so far. I even got partially spoiled, and am still interested in seeing how it plays out.

Technically speaking it runs ok, though I feel like moving the cursor on maps is not as smooth as it should be.

All in all, it could’ve been worse. Could’ve been bad story and bad gameplay.
