I actually beat it last month since I used to have a copy years ago.
It's the exact opposite of what gaming has become today:
>It puts silliness over muh realism
>You save sexy space babes
>Main character makes cheesey 90's 1-liners
>the game does NOT hold your hand at all, such as when it puts a nearly invincible enemy in your path and doesn't tell you its weakness or at least how to get past it
>You will die A LOT
>You lose all of your power ups upon dying too
If it released today gayme jurnos would call it "The Dark Souls for sexists" or something along those lines.
But that'll never happen. Blasto died with Phil Hartman.
