It was good when it came out. Buggy as shit, but it reminded me of the early to late 2000s when you could have fun with your friends while talking shit and having some fun. It turned to garbage when ubisoft realized that even though they were ready to abandon it there was a dedicated fanbase of people who liked it, they started pushing more and more esports faggotry and metafags/ twitch niggers came in and watered it even more down. They then started to mass ban people with no warning for saying even non “racist” things. There’s more I could go on about but it’s not worth saving and been pozzed to hell since when it came out it late 2015, when the poz was cranked up to 11.

I’ve been playing less and less. Haven’t uninstalled yet, but I also haven’t touched it in months especially cause better shit came out and there’s no reason for me to really play it anymore. It’s a really a joke now, they spent like two months trying to fix a bug but couldn’t so they just disabled shields and clash the whole time, and then once they fixed it there was nothing, not even double sheckles. Then they put in more stupid timed events like the cowboy mode that hilariously couldn’t even get halfway through the community challenge for it. And to top it all off, they announced that stupid spin off of the limited game mode at E3 as a full priced game.

I’ve seen enough to be cautious about it. Abandon your expectations.

From a pure game design perspective, Siege has been steadily improving ever since the horrible fuck-ops that were Dokkaebi and Lion with some much needed balance changes, map reworks and QoL addituons.

From a technical perspective, Ubi has been on fire with a string of fuck-ups that involve having to disable entire gadgets and operators entirely for a month in order to squash a bug.

From a subjective experience perspective, the experience has been sullied with its original identity being progressively more blurred due to cosmetics, out-of-place new operator designs, and eccentric game modes, on top of stuff like word banfilters.

I don't think anyone here can make a case that isn't outdated on how the gameplay has worsened, though there is a noticeable decline of the game's spirit around Operation Health that made Siege threads on /v/ much rarer than they used to.

I tried to get into it and failed multiple times because the netcode is the most infuriating shit I've ever seen in a shooter. And I've played vidya for a looooong time with a lot of different competitive FPSs. The kind of abortion code they have for online interaction is inexcusable. I can't count the number of times I've peeked a corner and died within milliseconds, and then somehow, miraculously, on the killcam it shows I peeked and sat there exposed like a retard for a full second or so.

I've had literal shotgun blasts pass through my opponent's hitboxes and models and riddle the wall behind them with decals (video related, from a while ago). Every time I tried to give R6S another shot, I wound up wanting to impale Ubishit's anus with a bat wrapped in rusted barbed wire, shortly thereafter. And this is to say nothing of the other game aspects, like the unrealism creep with newer operators or the faggotry creep with newer cosmetics.

Wasn't bad when it first came out, basic and simple stuff to play. But the pozz creep didn't stop leaking into the design.

But the gameplay isn't great. Once Reddit discovered the game it went to shit. The balance and the issues the "community" finds important are now entirely dictated by reddit.

That's why they won't institute a proper fix for the tk'ing issue. That's why they won't fix core bugs or other problems. That's why they're more interested in creating systems that chat ban "toxic speech" and making new characters who look like they're coming from the local Yumacon.

At the end of the day, there are a ton of titles that do what R6 claims to do, without being so fucking gay. Yeah you might not make it as a streamer playing these less known games due to them being more niche, but at least you avoid Ubishit and their retardation.

The only thing that is good about the game is trolling the reddit fags, and that's why I believe the tk'ing problem had grown so drastically before I quit.

Legitimate question, but the most common issue many people on /v/ raise with ASSFAGGOTS is that the games often involve significant periods of dull PvE, games that get decided in early stages thus making the rest of the match pointless, and a poor ability for any player to compensate for bad teammates. Yet Siege suffers from essentially none of those flaws. The main reason I see Siege being labeled a MOBA-esque game comes from the fact that unique gadgets and weapons are tied to the characters. But I don't quite know if that's enough to give the game that title.

my first impressions of rainbow was disinformation spread by /v/, they completely disallow discussion of the game at all by spamposting how it's shit and how it's propaganda and how it's imbalanced and how it's pay to win, it's all complete falsifications.

you have to actively look for propaganda to find it, none of it is in your face. there isn't gender neutral bathrooms just randomly about like lawbreakers or random framed photos of marx like deadpool 2 and there is no singleplayer content whatsoever so there isn't some story campaign where you hear orange man bad shit. the only only only propaganda is in character bios or subtle stuff like having an italian counter terrorist op be a nigger instead of a pureblooded italian. which is disgusting, sure, but it is again merely text you have to go through and read and not representative of the gameplay.

the only paid content is purely cosmetic and does not affect gameplay whatsoever and none of it is required for play. you buy the game, you play, you're equally matched with people who put 10000 dollars down for paid content, all of the maps are completely free, the cosmetics do not give you any advantage whatsoever.

there is no gambling so the game isn't part of the EA lootbox controversy. the only gambling is through free in-game currency that you cannot buy with real money. if i wanted to gamble in the game the only way to do so would be to play the game to earn the in-game currency, and paying real world money would not get me any lootboxes.

i mean i'm not trying to sell the fucking game to you here, i don't give a fuck if you don't want to play, but it just makes me mildly upset that people really badly misrepresent it around here. it's a great game and people are really missing out because of some political subtext that turns them off, the ubisoft brand itself or disinformation. and that is a shame.

there is no singleplayer content to speak of but there is SOME PvE. and it is a game mode called terrorist hunt where you fight NPC's trying to destroy the world with biochemical weapons; a group calling themselves White Masks who wear white masks.

at no point in the game is it ever disclosed what their ideology is. they are simply "a maniacal organization with no regard for their own safety." it's not even disclosed if it's religious-based.

It's a tacti-cool shooter the mandatory droning phase makes it so children don't get scared or angry playing the game cause the defenders hit the obj well enough to fend off attackers. I'll counter with another question, should a bulletproof shield recoil like that when hit with a knife or a firearm? Some ops are faster the melee animation has to play before you can ADS so if you miss they can just walk in and melee you right away and win. Hipfire is horrible since you have like a 1 in 5 (that's generous) of getting a single shot on target? Going prone gets you killed since you have to do the animation. Shield doesn't block his entire body and you can shoot his arm even if he's behind his shield or did you conveniently forget?

Bandit's entire role is to limit the attackers ability to scout and breach. Electrified barbed wire laid across drone vents and doors fulfills the first role, electrifying reinforced walls the second. The damage that the electrified surfaces deal is merely a secondary effect.

Twitch serves several purposes. In the scouting phase, she can knock out cameras, thus disguising attacker movements once the action phase hits. Afterwards, she serves as a counter to certain defenders such as Bandit, Jager and Mira by destroying critical gadgets that may be instrumental to a defense. The ability for her drone to deal minor damage can also serve to distract a defender during a push, forcing his attention away from the attacking operators.
