Well. I really like Assassin’s Creed Unity but it’s still really shit. Here are some improvements off the top of my head.
>remove waypoints and enemy locations on mini map
>route most side quests to social clubs, but ensure that the ones that aren’t there are at least brought up
>social clubs are marked by smoke and change colors depending on whether quests are completed
>reintroduce horses and carriages
>increase the amount of interiors and greatly expand the sewer/catacomb system so that nearly everything is connected
>make every mission co-op
>change the parkour system where end points are calculated by what the camera is pointing at
>improve combat to make it more environmental (rather than a brainless hit, dodge, parry system, Arno would use walls, stairs, narrow passages, oil, tables, chairs, bystanders, etc. to alter the fight)
>make enemies so challenging that the previous is required if it’s anything more than a duel
>gut skill tree; any skills or items should either be given from the beginning or attained though a side quest
>lower quality clothing can be upgraded to higher quality clothing
>all gear have maintenance requirement, though you can own multiple sets and change your load out at a social club
>all gear is distinct
>optional reconnaissance missions for assassinations
>revamp stealth system; guards can change guarding routes, blending in shadows, guards aware of silhouettes and changes to environment, clothing color and type change detection, weather effects, in-game lunar cycle that alters moonlight, crowd blending simply reduces amount of time until discovery rather than making you completely invisible
I’m sure I’m missing a few things.
