Is anyone else the same? throughout my whole life (I am now 25), i have always loved FPS games and shunned everything else. I've tried everything under the sun, all sorts of games and i found them to be all incredibly boring (Besides GTA).

How do i start liking other genres?

My Steam library consists of FPS games/games that are based around shooting. I have no interest in any other genre. I was looking at a platformer like Celeste or Hat in Time but apparently that's banned here, so I'm just playing CS:GO for now.

I mostly play FPS games because all the genres I like died 20 years ago, but even then the most recent FPS I've played is crysis 1. anything past 2007 is complete dogshit. any indie game that comes out for another genre is usually the most faggiest shit ever that doesnt compare to games 20 years ago, like all those pixelshit platformers or cutesy 3D collectathons or those shitty FPS games that have worse gameplay than cod 1 or gaylo

I kind of get what you mean. There's endless good games out there I've never played or started and never finished but I've wasted thousands of hours of gametime playing shitty FPS multiplayer games I didn't even enjoy. Exceptions to this were things like Pokemon or RPGs and occasional RTS. Thats only changed recently as I've started playing RPGs more and started revisiting old games like NES side scrollers and investing a lot of time in War Thunder (mostly due to plane and tank autism).
