The issue with Gaiden maps is that huge empty spaces exist in nearly every one.
a common issue in FE ironically, 1/3, 4, 6 have this issue as well.
It also loves stalling terrain in a bit more than other games, something i don't think i've heard praise for ever.
The other thing that people tend to hate is the AI and the eternal 80 hit usually.why does tile give avoid?
Genealogy's maps are definitely to its up and downside, its great the first few times but its maps also hurt to replay mostly.

I'm reminded that the original gaiden had like two dungeon maps?
Gaiden always felt a bit too high aiming for its own good and thus has some shortcuts that don't end too well.
its also still got some FE1 design choices that are absolute shit.
