I recently watched SMBZ for old times' sake. Are there any games with combat that has eccentric and satisfying flair on par with an over-the-top flash series? Bonus points if the combat is actually engaging and more than press X to be cool.

You know it man. It feels like a pipe dream, but I was hoping there was a playable vidya equivalent to SMBZ out there that I hadn't heard of, hence this thread's existence. Improvised combat, plenty of flash, plot driven by combat performance, shit like that.
