Yo-kai Watch 4 just got released in Japan and it will be a long wait until it gets brought to the West. As far as it goes, the gameplay elements have massively improved from the previous installments and they will freely update the game with more yo-kai as time passes, they are well animated in game.

I‘m playing the 3rd one right now and aside from the Q-puzzles it doesnt look like knowledge of moon is that necessary in these games.
The main reason is that I play these games always mute because the German dub gives me fucking earcancer.

Been playing Yo-Kai Watch 3 a little bit at a time. Feels like it's a lot slower to reveal mechanics, but that's largely because of the two characters mechanic. Switch back and forth doesn't bother me too much, but it also means you're progressing twice as slowly in money, items, places to explore, watch rank, level, crank coins, and everything else. The new areas and grid-based battle system is nice, though it only really shines against boss battles.

Natsume may be a bit old to be considered a loli, but she's definitely cute. (Well, in-universe she's "average" - a running gag in the anime was that she is considered completely plain and unremarkable, a trait she inherited from her father.)
She's definitely the central character in the anime, and some of the game footage does make it look like she's playable, although most of the action seems to revolve around dual protagonist Touma (who has a different kind of Yo-kai watch that lets him transform into Yo-kai himself, as opposed to Natsume's more traditional "come on out my friend" model.)

This. I'm disappointed about the new models. The yo-kai look fine but all of the humans look like shit because of the new art style from Shadowside or something.
I skimmed through the synopsis of the shadowside anime but it looks really uninteresting (sounds like your typical YA story). I wish they would of kept the two separate, I miss my comfy loli and ghost friends simulator.
