Word on the street is that the development is very troubled and CDPR has had to tear out and remake huge chunks of the game since that last gameplay reveal they did a number of months ago. The fact that they've been at it for so goddamned long and they have little to show for it at this point besides a couple cinematic pre-rendered trailers is something to be concerned about.
What everyone wanted was a Cyberpunk life simulator where you can be anyone inside this really expansive setting, pick sides, do jobs how you want, become as augmented or not as you want, do whatever you want, and so on. Instead, it looks like we're probably going to get a little vertical slice of the setting where you play a generic protag in a fairly linear story where Keanu Reeves hangs around to distract from the fact that the game will probably clock in at around 15 hours long, maybe 20 if you try your hardest to do everything.

I think the game is going to be alright but it's probably going to get pushed as GOAT like Witcher 3, and much like w3, its achievement is going to be making a somewhat competent mix of mechanics established and popularized by other games in its genre. It remains to be seem if Cyberpunk2077 can balance its mix of immersive sim and GTA sandbox.
One thing I'll give CDPR, they've seemingly have been acing marketing, at least when it comes to the general public. There's quite a bit of hype for this game and the "memes" coming out of E3 thanks to Keanu Reeves are giving it a great deal of exposure. They are riding a big hype wave and experience teaches me games that do that end up being underwhelming.

He is not a degenerate like all the other actors, so when something has him I will support it, just to show my support for a good person and hopefully get it across to other actors that living a good non-degenerate life is good and will get them a lot of long term solid support, and not the huge yet fleeting fame the degenerate actors get.
