I don't feel the need to ask for anything more regarding Smash Bros. at this point, I got what I wanted and in spades. Both parties involved deserve major kudos for allowing this to happen and it's only now I start to understand how stressed or overworked Sakurai must feel at times. He has a lot of people to appease with different tastes, preferences, etc but he simply can't make them all happy all the time. Everything is a balancing act, like determining justification for including a character or whatnot, who deserves to be in over others or if that even applies.

Anyone else hate how the DLC trailers are being presented? The way they've been writing it is basically "LOOK HOW COOL AND AWESOME WE ARE WITH ALL THESE COOL AND AWESOME CHARACTERS". I'm only unsure of how anything like separating Jason from the tank would work. If he just stayed inside the whole time and occasionally opened the cockpit to fire his blaster in various ways, then the Sophia III would be the "widest" character but still fit underneath platforms like everyone else. Plus, given the way its wall/ceiling-climbing is said to work, there wouldn't be any problems with ledgegrabbing, it'd just comically cling to the edge at a 90 degree angle.

I have hated collectashit games since childhood. I loathe the oh-so-cartoony graphics, the stupid Disneyesque saccharine soundtracks, and the slapstick, braindead humor sprinkled throughout the games. I hate mascot character games. I always will.
When this genre died I rejoiced. You know that image you see posted sometimes? The one where someone asked Neofag if NaughtyDog should make another Crash game and they shat all over it? People post it a lot as ragefuel, but I love it. I love how Crash, Spyro, Banjo, and the rest were dead, and that no one cared about the rotting corpses of these IPs. When Yooka Laylee was pitched to the collectashit audience and came out as a mediocre trash pile, I was happier than ever. Ripping off nostalgia goggles meant it was all more dead than ever.
Then the "remaster" meme became popular and the grubby shits that own the husks of these companies' properties rereleased all of this trash to the world. So now it's everywhere again.
To top it off, now one of these stupid fucking characters in in Smash. Every time I play this game online or with friends now, I'm going to have to listen to the fucking remixes of the music. I'm going to have to listen to "GUH-HUH" and "ROOOOO" every time I play this game until the next entry. God forbid, maybe even longer if this shit comes back in the next one.
Know that every time you pick Banjo or the Banjo stage or post about how much you want Crash or Spyro or fucking Bubsy in Smash Brothers, I am out here spitting venom in your direction and wishing death upon you and your family.

Dante might be the 4th one. We already had one character that "character action" genre, or whatever it was called. But We've already seen lots of "impossible" stuff. Everyone really wanted Dante along with Shadow. Since there are 2 spots, I don't think they will add another platformer character such as Spyro, Crash, Rayman etc.

From some friends that work at fromsoftware they said that from and nintendo made a deal for dark souls 2+3 with a new exclusive ip will come to the switch if from gets a smash rep with 50% of the profits from it.
I thought they were joking but then stuff they said before was confirmed so it might be true.
The 4th smash rep is going to be Orinstein the dragon slayer. His moveset is based on his attacks from dark souls 1 and 2. Grabs are changed so they do more damage so a backstab would do around 35%.
They also that the last fighter was a female from a pc game but they could be fucking around.
The new ip will be exclusive to the nintendo switch and the B team started working on it a couple of months ago. From what they said it is about a shapeshifter who uses human form for stealth and a customizable monster form for battle. This is all I know right now.

Ok anons so I've been doing some research into who exactly could be the last two fighters and fuck me are there a lot of options so we're doing this by company here we go
Let's say Nintendo wants more reps in the game from franchises already represented. I can't think of any possible new fighters they could add from the Ice Climber, Game & Watch, R.O.B., Duck Hunt, or Wii Fit universes, unless they wanted to add the Wii Balance Board which I honestly might not put past them after Piranha Plant got in, but there are still plenty of options here so I'm gonna do a breakdown of characters from each series that might be considered:

Doesn't need another rep but that's been true since Brawl so if they really wanted to, Nintendo could add Waluigi, Geno, or Captain Toad like everybody's been asking, some sort of Paper Mario rep for whatever reason, or another enemy like a Goomba or Hammer Bro, but quite frankly I hope they don't because the series is getting bloated

I think DK is in a good place where it is, but they could feasibly add Dixie Kong if they wanted. Maybe even Funky Kong or some other Kong from Donkey Kong 64 but I'm not holding my breath

Nintendo has plenty of options here that I don't think they need to use because LoZ has five reps already, but Impa or god forbid Linkle would make enough sense, or maybe a rep from Breath of the Wild with Link's redesign. I think any sort of Goron would make a neat addition but again, I don't think it's necessary, and of course there's always Mask Kid.

I didn't do any reading on what the DLC was supposed to be but I have nothing better to do with my time. I agree that Dark Samus and Ganondorf need their own movesets, and I really like the idea of seeing Leon as another villain from Star Fox to balance things out. Not enough baddies in the game if you ask me. Heracross sounds like a lot of fun but I honestly doubt Nintendo would go for it when they have new games to push.
A pure tome user would be a welcome change of pace for an FE character and it's one of the only reasons I don't mind Robin as much as the others. I always forget about Kloana but I think he and Opa Opa look like they would be a lot of fun. I don't expect Jack would get in based on violence alone, but seeing his design in Smash would be interesting

another f-zero character is difficult just cause black shadow and samurai goroh just don't stand out and their design is way to basic right now. Black Shadow could, at the very least, hover through the air like Peach, charge like a bull, use lightning as a reference to Magician's Red's Red Bind, and leave speed-sensitive bombs on the stage or on opponents that, when launched at a high enough speed, turn on and then explode once they've fallen back under that speed.
