Well, this board probably gets this thread on a daily basis. But, I'm looking for a game to cater to my needs.

I'm looking for a game that is like Dark Souls, but, the challenge in it being not figuring out the mechanics, or playing the game at a high level, but rather to grind and make your character powerful so you can clear dungeons. Something like Path Of Exile, but I don't like the Diablo perspective, and over all it feels way too flashy. World of Warcraft would hit the spot if it was single player.

Haven't played any of the single-player DnD games on PC, like Baldur's Gate etc. Absolutely do not like turn-based games. Also, if there's a game that fits the description but with mods, that's okay too.

Then you won't like D&D games. Unlike an MMO like WoW they are not truly real time where each action has a specific amount of seconds it takes to perform, but rather it simply takes D&D's turns and makes them 6 seconds long in real time because it said in a single sentence in the rulebook somewhere that 6 seconds is approximately what a round lasts, even though that's purely for narrative purposes and not for retarded game developers to interpret literally. The games would play faster if they were turn based.

I think Path of Diablo makes those chances less absurd, which helps for a smaller online community anyway. It is a great mod that doesn't change much about the core gameplay and adds lots of quality of life features.

Nothing is stopping you from doing that in Dark Souls or any similar title. Feel free to grind away until you one shot all the bosses with your cheese build.
