I want to say it used to be better… but it never was. The comic industry has always been shit in different flavors. The only thing worth saving is indie publishers. If Marvel died tomorrow & had to sell all their IPs, I wouldn't shed a tear. It'd be a new start. Maybe even an actual beginning of stories with a point that don't just go on forever. But I know it's a fools dream to think that will happen.

Thankfully a comic book crash is bound to happen very very soon. Disney doesn't even seem to interact with the comics division. It's just an IP farm to them.

what i mean is the models just don't feel as expressive as the sprites in previous games, it feels sort of rigid but not as stale as the travesty that is MVC:I. There's some amount of effort in the models for matching the styles of a few games like Okami or Viewtiful Joe that they are in but there are some models that feel off. Well, yes, that is what happens when you bank on the same characters for decades. You need to do smaller stories. That isn't to say that some, or a lot, of those stories won't suck, but at least there will be a variety. Authors will be able to tie up their story lines with a bow and say "it is done, lets move onto the next thing." This will keep anyone but the author, and maybe the editor from ruining their stories.

It's not being a hipster when you genuinely don't like something for being shit. Iron Man 1 had a good cave escape and prototype testing scenes but that's it. Thor movies were okay until Ragnarok and its annoying dyke shit. Overall superhero movies have been so overdone and part of it is the lack of people letting go of something that has overall gotten worse.

Also, comics are not mainstream, but either way almost all of them suck ass, even more so nowadays than before.

Probably because it's creator owned with singular writers focusing their energy to crafting the world. Comics were a mistake but can be salvaged if we manage to kill DC and Marvel fully, let me say that the medium itself is in no one terrible but has been abused greatly by censorship, capitalism, and more than any other medium. No the mainstream one's were never good, Captain Zog and Uberkike were both anti-German propaganda made by Jews and really Superhero's in generally were the beginning of the end for comics, if you look into the early editorial process Stan Lee literally just wrote up something quick maybe with another co creator, and then passed it off to the artist for them to interpret however they wish, leading to many mistakes and law suits, more importantly they were too quick to bother printing in color and ended up visually screwing things up.

Story wise capeshit's biggest problem is that they are icons, not people or characters, whenever a new writer comes along they completely change everything built up in the span of the previous 5 issues in 1, and this is continously done for profit based on the idea that culturally such icons will make people want to continue buying, like Betty Boop except they don't have the privileged of being dead and just being sold off as knock off mascots. Thanks to capeshit films promoting them the comics industry has had a life line for ages guaranteeing no consequence and thus no learning process for the industry much like anime for manga or light novels, by this point there's no way to save capeshit, but even then in this era of uneducated masses who's to tell if this can save comics as doing so may only lead a newer predator to become top dog instead thus making the whole thing pointless, but then again such things apply to all media including film, books, music, theater all rather unfortunately my what a cluster fuck.

See it's a common belief among the ill informed that the movies somehow save comics. They don't. Sales will slightly spike, at least they did a few years ago, when a new movie would come out but it's not enough to say the comic industry is in anyway doing well. There's still shops that get sent stock they didn't order & can't sell. Resale/dollar/discount stores having rows of unsold trades no one wants. DC has gotten so desperate they're selling oversized collection compendiums in Walmart.

The only thing keeping these companies alive is the movies but the comic divisions get nothing out of it if the movies do well. Normies still don't give a shit about a comic when they have movies & easy access to any trivia they need to know about the movies referencing comics.

I think Ragnarok is actually the best movie out of all comic book movies. Maybe I am biased because I love Jeff Goldblum and Hulk. Taikka Wattiti is a complete weirdo and he makes very fun, colorful, interesting movies. Both of the other Thor movies pale in comparison.

Guardians of the Galaxy is the other standout winner. James Gun does a fantastic job.

The Captain America: Winter Soldier movie is a fantastic spy thriller type movie. They have been touching on some very different genre's so that it barely even feels like a typical comic book superhero story.

It's quite simple, the original control scheme and all that shit was designed for level by small level combat and predator segments. The thing that fucked up was literally the extra travel time between missions for me, made everything a slog.

It's the sandbox GTA thing, they make a giant fucking world, and send you over to markers and thus can't design how you approach a segment unless they literally railroad you. The segments in the originals were somewhat smartly designed, and compact, so the stealth was more frantic, because fucking up had more consequences, raised the stakes. In Knight all you have to do is use your extremely free mobility to dip in and dip out at your leisure, so eventually the novelty becomes a chore, especially when they add in gimmick elite enemies to prevent you from doing certain things, because you're so free that they end up as minor annoyances rather then legit challenges.

There's definitely bad manga out there for sure. A lot of the bad stuff even gets mainstream appeal. Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, Inuyasha, & even Dragonball to an extent. But there's still far more stuff worth your time with manga than there is bad stuff.
