2019: THE YEAR NO ONE HAD ANY GAMES TO SHOW AT E3
I'm thinking Sony did the right thing by being a bunch of no-shows because this E3 has been pathetically bad. Not a single conference that felt like it had a good number of games on display, everything felt like it was "fluff" and a bunch of extras after the main games had been shown, except the main games were missing. Fucking Microsoft, having basically the entire stage for itself since Sony didn't show up, had hardly anything interesting at all. Their highlight was CP2077, a non-exclusive game. They were given the opportunity to pretend to have all the games, yet they still failed.
Previous years have been bad, but I think this one was the worst in a long time.
So with that said, let's talk about the games that were shown that people did enjoy seeing.
I'd name some myself, but I seriously can't come up with anything. Ghostwire might be interesting, but it had no gameplay so I don't think it counts.

>Valfaris: Big fan of Slain, this looked pretty good but the visuals are kind of cluttered. I'm hoping it's not so when I get to play it.
>Amid Evil: Kind of cheating since I pirated an older build a while back, but I enjoyed it a bit.
>Lovely Planet 2: Loved the first.

Good stuff to pirate and check out I guess. Shame about no Sakuna or Bannerlord, or Phoenix Point, or Rebel Galaxy Outlaw. One of the EGS games also looked interesting to pirate, the one where you played a red ninja with a bow and arrow, and there was this notebook drawing-looking game that looked creative but I missed the name for it.

I also felt this in the middle of watching MicroE3. I can maybe remember only 2 games that was actually shown with gameplay. Somehow fucking Ubisoft showed off the most gameplay this year. It was nothing but announcements of shit we already knew.
That being said, the best trailer this year for me was Elden Ring. Felt epic in terms of themes and like a love letter to the Tolkien books.

Mon Hun World was met with trepidation at first because a lot of people assumed it would be casualized shit that aped on Dark Souls, so there wasn't much hype for it then. And I saw a lot of people upset at Exodus too, for bringing back Artyom when he shouldn't have been and the seeming buying of the "open world" meme.

This is it. The bad E3s aren't the 2006's with the "599 US dollars." We remember those for years. The bad ones are the ones you can't recall. Regardless of anything else, I'm going to remember Keanu and Ikumi this year. Unless Nintendo wows with their conference, it will problem be quite forgettable. But 2017 was still worse.

They didn't have anything new or amazing to show, so they just backed out instead of wasting people's time. There are some games I am looking forward to.
As a chiv fan I am looking forward to Chivalry 2. That said, I am 75% sure it will suck. I usually have good senses when it comes to predicting if a game will suck or not, and I think chiv2 will eat ass.
Maneater looked kinda gimmicky, but is surely worth to pirate. That said, if it has no multiplayer it will become boring fast.
Midnight Ghost Hunt reminded me of counter strike's hide and seek mode on steroids. It definitely has some potential.
Can't say much about Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines II because I skipped most of the trailer but I like vampires. That said most modern games suck and that one will surely suck too.
Ancestors is cool because it has monkeys in it.

Anthem only got hype due to Keanu, and it was announced so long before.

Fantasy Star Online 2 coming to the west is the only unexpected thing that has me interested. Honestly Microsoft could have scored allot more points with people if the saved the Halo Master Chief collection coming to PC announcement since that was one of the better things to hear about this year.
Everything else was either not worth giving a shit about or showing off things that were already announced watching the Square Enix conference there was a big stretch of time when I was thinking "didn't half of these remasters and shit already come out?"
