I thought the previous Blair Witch games were kind of novel being prequels and all, but this one looks like it misses the point completely. It doesn’t expand the already shit lore, and it doesn’t stay true to the experience of the first film. More than likely it’s just a very late Outlast clone trying to capitalize on the twitch audience.

I honestly don't understand the point of these prerendered cgi trailers, they show so little of anything like story or setting, just some pretty graphics. and sometimes it's not even pretty graphics, the gears 5 trailer was a billie eyelash music video.

it would have been better if it showed the first minutes of gameplay because the e3 trailer made it look like another outlast game, even though the blair witch movie is much older.

The other Blair Witch games, they're a mixed bag. One is basically a stealth sequel to Nocturne, while the other two try and do their own thing. Still better than an Outlast clone.

Yeah. A very weird thing to bring back. I even joked that it was an new Outlast game making reference to Blair Witch until they showed the symbol and I realized that this was a new game for Blair Witch. As long as it isn't inspired by Book of Shadows, it'll hardly be the worse thing to happen to the Blair Witch franchise.
