3) Even one of the on-radio characters are more compelling and interesting than the bean-brain flesh and blood spic
4) Has an ending, not "disappears into light because we're too creatively bankrupt to actually write something interesting"

Not terribly interested in much else aside from Cyberpunk 2077 but they only showed a cinematic trailer for it this year? Seems like a trend. Check out all these cinematic trailers but there isn't a lick of gameplay anywhere. Gears 5 was especially dreadful. Zero gameplay. Tune into some Mixer nonsense after the show for a look at some campaign gameplay or whatever it was.
The new Ori game seems alright but I never bothered with the first one. Battletoads doesn't look completely terrible and I might have some positive things to say about it after I grow more accustomed to the new artstyle.
I used to be a massive Halo nerd and read the books but I stopped caring some years ago. Haven't touched the new Halo books since 2014. I beat the Halo 5 campaign on solo legendary but I don't remember a thing that happened. Only recall getting annoyed at those lame Warden boss fights. Didn't understand what was happening in the new trailer for Halo Infinite. Is Halo Infinite coming out on Xbox One too, or is that for Winblows 10 PCs and Xbox Scarlett only??

Not sure about the pre-2008 spikes, but there was a high spike in Mar 2009, however Demon Souls was released in October in NA and much later in Europe, I doubt the japs would use the english term artificial difficulty. Furthermore, an even bigger spike was in Jan 2013, whereas Dark Souls was released on PC August 2012, so 6 months or so, which could work, as the game slowly gathered sales, as Let's Players and memes made normalfags buy the game, by April 2013, the game sold 2 million copies, according to wikipedia, but that's consoles + PC. I think Monster Hunter also has something to do with this, might explain the pre 2008 spikes, so both of you are wrong.
