It is not going to flop, if the gameplay is generic or bad people will claim gameplay doesn't matter, if the story is terrible people will connect imaginary dots and call it deep, there is no reviewer that will call the game out without being piled on by a massive amount of drones.

The only good thing that will come out of this is the catch 22 Sony will find themselves when they either bleed money keeping Kojima or cut him off and suffer the same fate as Konami when they did.
