I know this isn't really a popular game, but Kao the Kangaroo 2 is free on Steam if you want to grab it. It's one of those niche games that are hard to find on pirate sites and torrents so it might be worth it just for the sake of being able to own it.

It's run of the mill, average, nothing special, and aping off Rayman 2 a bit. It's an okay platformer, but your time is better spent on other games. The voice acting is pretty bad, though.

it's a fan release with blessings of original devs/publisher, they can publish it for free and for cheap becasue they're not expecting huge sales in the first place, it's aimed at Polish community who has huge nostalgia for Kao since it's one of the first half-decent polish games
