I'm pretty sure the Archmage when specializing into Wild Fire can actively set everything on fire (even himself) and as result get a chance to remove debuffs from himself, also you can ignore a deadblow that is instead translated into DoT damage that you cannot reduce (but you can try to outheal instead).
The "setting on fire" bit is less you yourself being on fire with a DoT but rather the entire map ends up covered in flames with you in the middle of it.

I'm asking because for most games that end on cliffhangers, they're often followed up with a sequel of lesser overall quality. The mass effect series is a prime example of this. Trails in the Sky FC has a cliffhanger at the end, and SC picks up from the next day. SC also got better scores than the already highly rated FC in Japan, and Falcom doesn't bribe reviewers like Squeenix does. The games are actually planned out, unlike western series but NISA has their claws in Falcom now, so expect the usual rewrites and other fuckery to kill any enjoyment you may have in future games.

I got a good question for you guys. I just finished playing Fell Seal: Arbiter's Mark. It actually wasn't bad, though it wasn't as good as the games it was emulating. The classes were kind of shallow, and the mechanics weren't really that deep. The writing was also pretty infantile at best. It really made me want to replay Final Fantasy Tactics, a game I played a ton of on the first Playstation when I was a little shit. I actually bought War of the Lions when it came out, but some issue with slowdowns caused me to never play it past the first act.
Now that I'm old as shit and the game is a distant memory, what version is the best to play? Should I prepare the original, WotL, or one of the mods? I hear a lot about FFT 1.3, but is anyone around who played it who can vouch for it? Or is there a better version out there that I am missing?

Don't do this. The localization team said they were reading the Game of Thrones books at the time and said that they were a huge influence on the localization. The flowery Shakespearean language actually ruins a lot of characterization, considering a major theme of the game is class disparity. Example: Miluda/Milleuda and Wiegraf joined the Death Corps/Corpse Brigade because they were poor as shit peasants getting exploited by the nobles. These people are hungry and scared, and yet they speak like the educated nobility they so despise. Also, Dark Knight further encourages low faith characters, and that's not a good thing.
The 1.3 patch is a joke. The entire balance of the game shifts entirely, and ultimately the people behind it see something as minor as Gain JP Up needs to be removed, ignoring that the US version had inflated JP costs in the first place. Accumulate is out of the question for players, but Elmdore can still have Teleport 2 and be teamed up with Celia and Lede. Their goal was to eliminate some exploitable elements of the game, but it ultimately fails, as the meta changes in another direction instead of better balancing things. These are people who found FFT to now be easy as shit, since they've been playing it for 20 years now, and they're viewing the game from that perspective. A newcomer to FFT would be absolutely turned off by the 1.3 patch, as it only accentuates some elements that newcomers find challenging about the game. Stay away from it.

Play the PS1 version. As for 1.3, the only version you want to play is the version linked in share thread, which is one of the older version before the mod's creator went full retard. What 1.3 aims to do is to remove some of the cheesier elements of the game, and to kill grinding. The way it accomplishes this is by either nerfing or removing overpowered skill suck as Blade Grasp, Accumulate, Yell, etc,etc. It also removes level down traps, increases the stat scaling of bosses slightly, and makes every story battle scale to the player's level. Now, the reason why the newer/current versions of 1.3 are so shit is because the game revolves around minimizing the amount of experience you get in order to prevent yourself from overleveling, and thus making the later parts of the game near impossible. The version of 1.3 in the share thread (and earlier versions, if you can someone find them) greatly alleviates the leveling scaling issue. In other words, you won't have to restart a battle if you fail to kill a boss in a single round.
Other things that 1.3 does is make the human enemies you fight have better gear/skills (through a hidden point allocation system. In other words, if you're level 10, enemies will use level 10 gear and skills that you'd generally have enough JP to get at 10. But if you overlevel, you'll still be limited by what shops sell and what you can Steal, while enemies will keep getting better gear and skills. It turns even the most mundane story battle into a soul crushing effort, and is definitely not a patch aimed at people who haven't mastered the game's systems. No Blade Grasp, no permanent Faith/Brave modifications, no Accumulate/Yell in a corner, scaling enemies, MUCH stronger bosses - especially Zodiac enemies, and you can't grind your way out of it.

If you actually played through everything up to that point you absolutely should. Unlike the original game where you have to counter black and white rings with no timing, this is straight rhythm of countering the rings as they hit you. So with beats at roughly every half-second, you just count ring-2-3-4-button, for first one it's roughly as the vocals shift to third note. The next two are spaced ring-2-ring-4-button-2-button-4. Hope that explanation makes sense. As you probably found, visual cues constantly get muddied or outright removed but timing to the music is easier anyway, and necessary towards the end where the tempo slows down. Be prepared to throw the contoller at the end.

Playing Divinity: Original Sin for the first time, and I will play in normal (Classic). I read in a guide that is recommended to use "pure"classes over hybrid ones. How true it is? I recently got Daggerfall and am struggling to get the combat to work. I can only swing diagonally, which is impractical in this game. There are two things that I can think of being the cause. The first is that I deviate from Bethesda's instruction. Instead of typing DAGGER.EXE to start the game, I type FALL.EXE z.cfg because the former results in an error. The second thing is my mouse. Whenever I click the left mouse button to examine or loot something, my screen fills up with notifications, so I suspect the issue might be that the mouse is sending multiple inputs for as long as I hold it and that's somehow fucking with it. I am using a Logitech G502.

And I heard about the bug in that game apparently has a limit on the number of items it can handle safely. How high is that limit? And then what kind of stuff should I craft and what not to be safe?

In Onimusha 2, when Nobunaga returns to his pedestal to recharge or whatever during the later parts of the the first phase, is it better to take the opportunity to do triple charged normal attacks, or use the Oni weapon skills that you can't readily hit him well with when he's airborne? Trying to end that section of the fight faster and I'm not sure charged attacks from the spear or hammer are doing enough to help much with that. According to the game's creator, due to the aestethic they chose (anime) most of the cast is female. Gays galore, in other words. I'll give them this, they knew not to aim at a broad demographic, but fuck them for the whole gay shit. And that's as far as I got. I didn't like it.

Use C, I, and P to open your menus.
Space ends your turn, Enter ends combat.
Ctrl+S opens the save menu. Save often.
Number keys 1-8 are your active skills. Learn the ones your character will be using most.
Inventory management is a pain, but you can make things easier on yourself by selling or dropping items you don't need.
In FO1, travelling on the world map is costly. Make sure you know where you're going before you start a trip.

Anti-aliasing is a category of methods designed to eliminate the jagged edges of polygons on a pixel display. yes and no.
dualshock 4 only supports directinput by default. newer games that support ds4 natively do so via directinput.
older games usually only support xinput (basically xbox controllers), ds4windows and other emulators fake the ds4 being an xbox pad so a ds4 works in those games too.
the biggest problem is when games support both and don't know how to handle it which leads to issues like double input and other weird behaviour.
so you either have to disable the emulator or select what API to use in game (if the game even offer that choice, most don't).
worse, if you want to use the ds4 wireless or use rumble features you have to use xinput. but then most games think it's a xbox pad and you get xbox prompts (unless games let you choose manually, GR:wildlands for example).
you can thank microsoft for that.
TLDR: try it without an emulator, if it doesn't work check pcgameswiki and install ds4windows (use the fork here: https://github.com/Ryochan7/DS4Windows)

I'm not playing on a potato, but the install is about 8G, assuming the game itself hasn't tainted the directory size, so maybe some bloat. However it's running very smoothly and isn't trying to choke the life out of my processor or anything. I'm playing KHUX and haven't run into a single bug. Seems like this does have controller support, but when I asked the question I hadn't realized that the game is entirely point and click. The only way to play this particular game with a controller or keyboard would be to write an autoit or AHK script that maps mouse gestures to buttons… Which actually probably wouldn't be that hard.

Buy a PS4 Hori Mini, it was marketed as a cheap, simple controller meant for kids, but the d-pad, face buttons and triggers are leagues above a DS4 because it's more or less a rebranded Wii Classic Controller. I focused Madora on two handed since the beginning, and used it most of the game, it just that with all skill points that I wanst using for madora, once I maxed Warrior & two handed, plus enough bodybuilding/willpower, I tought to test it latelly. But yeah, shield+weapon isnt that powerfull, Elemental tortoise is really good tough; But Two handed is better, and for second & third battle I switched already to it.
So in resume, game is over for me, and I must say its a fun and well made RPG overall, altough it have its flaws. And yeah, in normal difficulty & lower, game is not hard, and even easy once you get it, although bosses (not just the dragon) are damage sponges, and multiples enemies in huge quantities can be an struggle. And even if I wanted a challenge, I heard the difficulty jump from normal to the next one is really high, so I didnt take it, besides I frankly prefer an enjoyable game even if easy than a more challenging but more painful to play one.

No. Everyone, even you, has 3 concurrent health bars. Your original health bar, the Magical Armor and Physical Armor. Magical Armor only takes damage from magical attacks (ice/water, fire, lightning/air, earth/poison), while Physical armor only takes damage from physical attacks (Ranged attacks, Melee strikes and necromancy).

I want to play Divinity: Original Sin 2 as a Lizard Battlemage or similar (I know the starting class is just like starting point of a character). So I want to know a recommendation to what kind of build should I make, because other guides are just autistic meta-gaming that overspecialize to the extreme, while I want a more versatile one with either being more magical or more melee but not to the extreme. Maybe I want to be more intelligence-based, but I also want to wear armor, damnit. Also, I have problem to what kind of party I would get. I think of taking Beast as Melee, Fahne as magical, and the elf as either Ranger or a rogue. But of course, I would also have to decide what kind of gameplay each one should get (And that would depends on what I would do). Should Fahne be pure wizard, or should be an enchanter? Or a Conjurer? Should Beast be pure melee damage, or should be some hybrid class? How the FUCK do I do the Scarmaker and the Half sword combo in Kingdom Come?
They have the same rhythm (lower left, stab, stab) and they're both the only combos I can't fucking do. Either the stabs don't come out because I do press the right mouse too quickly or the stabs come out after one with no combo in sight another because I, presumably, click the right mouse too slow. I've been trying to do them for the last couple of hours and now I'm fucking mad.

combos are lame shit cause most of the time the kind of enemies you want to combo against because they don't die in a single hit are also going to block/counter you if you try to combo.

I had the same thought. Tried to to practice the combos I mentioned against the trainer in Rattay but he's a god so fuck if I ever land anything past one strike. I haven't gotten the four hit ones cause I don't see the point.

Depends on if you want some smoother graphical stuff. Water got a visual upgrade, among other things. IIRC the campaigns don't use units from new balance, but it does use changes like stat changes and the like. So if you want the ACTUAL original content, go for the original game.

definitely get 16, 8 is just miserable at this point. rx580 is fine, check where you buy it so you might be able to grab the games bundle. if you sell that it makes it even cheaper.

if you don't plan to overclock go with a 2600x, the higher clock should help with emulation and the 2 lesser cores hardly make a difference in that case. also can use the saves money on other stuff (NEVER go cheap with your PSU) or put it toward a cpu upgrade later (get at least a b450 board).

I need a microphone, just something cheap to use when talking with people. Looking for decent sound quality but doesn't have to be amazing. Preferably below ~$20 or 20€.
Seen people recommend some very basic logitech microphones in the past but not sure what to look for.
Also any recommended software for better audio output? Just using Realtek HD Audio Manager which I downloaded from my motherboards software page, I believe. Having issues with my current microphone but I believe it's a hardware issue seeing as the headset is quite old and headsets just generally being known for their trash mic quality.
