Reach was utter trash and the only people who like Reach but somehow dislike the 343 games are either 21 year old gen z kiddies who are nostalgiafagging over when their life wasn't a living Hell, or people with too much developer-loyalty to admit liking something without Bungie's name attached to it.

Every ruining game mechanic in Halo 4 came from Reach. Sprint, no ranked playlists, loadouts, armor abilities, etc. Everyone recognizes that Reach was the first objectively bad Halo game, As one example you can even look at the esports community, with every professional Halo player from the time saying now that Reach killed the franchise, and you could argue is indirectly what killed off MLG entirely.

ODST honestly wasn't good either, the horde mode got boring quick and the campaign was crap. From memory the multiplayer disc was just Halo 3 multiplayer with the two map packs included? So most people didn't get anything from it. Only reason I wouldn't call it bad is it isn't a full game.

Well it seems MS is trying to merge Xbox and PC. I think Halo is actually the only exclusive that isn't on PC for them. The Autumn was a special case though, they ripped out the old fusion drives and put in a custom MAC gun. Designed to spec, Halcyon-class cruisers were underwhelming except for their stupidly good survivability. Autumn's top-of-the-line retrofits are what made it really special.

I'd agree with the with the idea of the guns being shitty when you actually look at their specs, they're completely idiotic and not useful. Take for example the regular assault rifle it uses some 7.62 neato and its effective range is minimal. Reach model effective range is 150 meters, while 3's model effective range is 300 meters. Halo Online isn't going into the MCC. Halo 3 is. Meaning that it's 343 porting Bungie's Halo 3. I can almost guarantee that "per title basis" for mod support is going to mean 1 Remake, 2 Remake and 4, the games that 343 has actually worked on. If any of the Bungie ports get official modding tools of any kind, I'd be fucking surprised.

The problem is that simply lessening bloom doesn't actually fix or address the issue bloom was meant to address, which is how traditionally preciwsion weapons have dominated the sandbox and to force them to pace their shots, so bloom';s removal just acted as an effective buff.

Bloom ALREADY didn't really work to force shot pacing on the DMR up close, so the DMR was already better then it should have been at that range, but at long range it made the DMR, which was already better then the BR was at those distances, turned into a damn near sniper rifle.

That plus mouse aiming could very well be th most broken gun in the series alongside the H2 BR.

I'm not suggesting they have just left bloom in, but they should have either fixed bloom to function as intended rather then removing it, or come up with another system that doesn';t involve randomness but still punishes players for spamming shoits
