I remember there being a Mortal Kombat X comic before the game came out. It was about a completely different plotline from the game and I don't remember what happened, and no one talks about it. I think they were hoping it'd be as popular as the Injustice comic series, which went on a bit too long in my opinion, but that was not the case.

I liked this bing bing wahoo comic. It's a shame I lost my original copy.
I just found some new scans of the reprint on jewgle. I happened to notice the word "re-scan" in the snippet of an archived cuckchan thread. The link to the scans were dead, but searching the archive turned up even newer higher res scans than that. Wonderful quality too, they did scanning right and the colors are perfect unlike the older scans I have sitting on a hard drive somewhere. Unfortunately, in true cuckchan form, he included a muh buyfag image and a bunch of shitty fanart at the end, including pics of Luigi crossdressing.

I remember this, the Legend of Zelda manga that ran alongside it was pretty sweet. NP was fucking awesome from the start up to about issue 70-80 or so. The Star Fox and Metroid comics were good too, if a bit rushed.
