It was the fall of 08. I walked into a gamestop with 60ish dollars burning a hole in my pocket but I had two games I wanted to get. Tales of Vesperia and Infinite Undiscovery. I chose the latter because I figured a sequel to Tales of Symphonia couldn't possibly go out of print almost immediately and be hard to find years down the line.

I just couldn't get a handle on Metroid Prime's GC controls. The inability to look around with the C-stick made me keep missing jumps and strafing requires lock-on so you can't just peak around corners, etc. It was like I was playing an amazing game with terrible gameplay

all I wanted was a stick controls mod. I instead found a fork of Dolphin that applies mouselook to Prime Trilogy. Shit's so easy now I feel like a complete casual

Years ago, I found myself playing a game of that Windows Space Pinball thing. I had gotten quite possibly one of my highest scores ever on the first ball, and wanted to show someone. Then there was the time I was taking a family trip, had like 3 hours into Pokemon Sapphire without saving, and had the battery die on me right when I was in the middle of trying to save it. As an aside, said file was a new game that overwrote a file with 2 shinies on it that I found on accident.

And there was the time I got a third-party memory card, put all of my game files on it, only to find out that it didn't actually work, so all of the files were deleted once the system was turned off.

As far as I can tell the Starcraft remaster was solely made as a means to try and sucker the few gooks still playing the game into getting on their store and nudging them into buying digital bullshit nobody cares about. Here's something I'm not sure if is a shame or not.

I rarely complete games because I mostly enjoy their mechanical 'feel'. When a game stops letting me feel new systems, I lose interest. Unless the worldbuilding or something else is really good, I typically feel like I've gotten everything out of a game within the first hour of it, even if it's a 60+ hour RPG. After basic familiarity, most games' "new content" is just numbers going up or even worse, new models/skins for enemies that generally still act the same.

Well I loved Fallout 3 (and NV) and I was hoping to get some more of the same just with upgraded graphics. I had planed on getting some fallout merch for a while (because fallout 3 was my favorite game for a long time) and the LootCrate sounded like a deal at the time.

CSGO, Bioshock Infinite, Metro were more spur of the moment purchases where I didn't have all my faculties but in my mind I just remembered liking the first bioshock and metro and CSS so thought buying them would be a good idea.

Payday 2 was 5 years ago before, during, and a little after the hoxton jail break before it was as shit as it is now (still was shit then but I liked the idea of a shooty shoot steal things game).

Borderlands 2, I liked the first borderlands and me and my "friends" were looking for something new to play together and I thought it would be fun but we ended up playing it once and then neither of them played again, and after playing through it by myself I found it was filled with aids and almost didn't finish it.

I didn't start playing pokemon until 2013, even though i did watch the first two seasons of the anime.
