Me and a mate in WoW talking shit about a female whore who was sucking up to the guild lead. Resulted in us having a debate or some shit with him and her and he wanted us to apologize. Of course I didn't. He said apologize or I kick you. Then I said, fuck your whore and fuck your guild and got my kick.

Unsurprisingly, they both stopped playing shortly after, I got reinvited to the guild and kept playing with my mates until the server we were on shut down.

I have a good history with ebin axes in WoW. In Vanilla, when I was a babby shammy getting rekt in Stranglethorn, someone hacked this "famous" trade chat socializer druid, liquidated all his assets and traded them to me. It was like 4 max slot bags worth 50g each, ~30 of some purp disenchantment crystal worth 30g each (probably from DEing all his raid gear) and 1000g. I saved for my mounts and blew the rest on an epic BoE world drop lv35 2h axe that could proc to throw a fireball. I was the happiest little squeaker for all of Stranglethorn and beyond, think I only replaced it at lv50 and kept it as a memento.

I was on Blackgate during the first WvWvW season. The server had a really good community on teamspeak at one point. Not sure what happened, but I'm pretty sure it went to shit. I had a guild with my friends who played so I just rolled with whatever blue taco horde was the least retarded.

Most nights were pretty chill as we had some pretty based Russians running. During the morning we had screaming pack of Filipino lady boys who thought they were the rape Indians out Cormac's novel Blood Meridian. In the evening, particularly around 9-12, we had this pack of assholes who would come on. I barely remember the name but I think it was APEX. The faggot commander with a squeaky voice would scream commands like in the video I embedded while playing Disney songs in the background. I think we lost every engagement he led, while he screamed about Mulan and rheumatoid arthritis. We were getting wrecked so badly by a guild blob named TRAIN or something, that he started having our group avoid them whenever he saw their tags. He kept telling our horde to roll left or right when the enemy charged, but we would get nothing but wrecked.

I saw some other crazy shit like dudes making smurf accounts to sabotage Blackgate resources and spying. My personal favorite was server agreements not to fight each other and only fight Blackgate. I left GW2 after the season ended heard its gotten worse since. The early WvWvW fights were a lot of fun though with the right people.

Your post just reminded me of a pretty decent one. I don't really play MMOs much so I don't have much guild drama to discuss. But when I was a teenager, I played Shadowbane, which was already F2P by that point. It's a fun game where there are only a few NPC cities and almost all towns are made and controlled by players. It's "guild wars" in the most literal sense, in that the game is always about controlling territory and resources for your guild or guild alliance and very world PvP oriented.

I realized quickly that I'd need a guild to enjoy this game. The first guild I joined was one that was recruiting near the newbie levelling area. They seemed decent enough at the time, and I didn't care that much since I didn't even know what the game was like yet; might as well learn the ropes somewhere.

Things went okay, except for some obnoxious twat that whined a lot in guild chat. He would do this shit incessantly and was just about the only person in the guild who did it. I remember disagreeing with him about something, and I might have been a little direct about it but if I used any swears or insults they were very tame. He whispered me something to the effect of, "you better apologize or I'm going to have you banned from the guild. I'm the husband of the guildmaster."

First of all, I didn't believe him, and secondly the idea of a beta bitch husband that gets his wife to ban people was too amusing. So naturally I blew him off. Within ten minutes some faggot guild admin logged on and banned me without even sending me a whisper. I was taken aback, but figured that it was better off not being in that guild if that faggot was a part of it.

I really don't remember my transition period after that, but I was anxious for a guild that did seemingly anything except babysit new players. The next guild I joined, I got extremely lucky. I somehow fell in – I think it was because some of the guild members were looking to go PKing and they picked me up – with the American branch of a Japanese guild. As you can imagine, it was filled with 4chan users (long before 8chan). It was also not a very large guild so it was not filled with faggots. I greatly enjoyed my time there and in the intervening period made a new minotaur warrior character specifically for PKing.

During times when there weren't enough people on to form a hunting group, I would usually go to one of the "DMZ" towns. These are player-owned towns which are not associated with guilds and have no guards. Anyone can warp to and from them. Most were merchant hubs, but one of them was understood by the community to be the "battleground" where players who wanted to hone their PvP skills would warp and fight. I was bored so I warped there one day. There happened to be a Fury (glass cannon mage class) at the battleground who was whining like a tremendous bitch in zone chat each time he died. Naturally, this made me want to kill him exclusively jusy to see what he would say. I succeeded several times because he's shit at the game, talked some shit and chuckled as he raged and warped back to his guild city. I chatted with my own guildmates about it later and they said "Yeah that's the alt of <the husband from the guild that banned you>, he's a giant bitch." I laughed even harder as I realized I had gotten revenge without even knowing it at the time. Fun game until it was overrun by Chinks.

I've been in big guilds, I've been in small guilds, I've been in raiding guilds, and I've been in dicking around social guilds

The closest that I've been to guild drama is once a guild I was in some people got in a fight and everybody took sides and the guild split in two but I went off camping for that week so I missed the whole thing. Thinking back I was in that guild for the better part of a year and I don't remember anything leading up to this, when I left the whole thing was humming along smoothly.

I could have sworn it was a Chinese guild. On my server at least (Vindication if I remember right). It was a fun dynamic when I played because there were the "Western guilds" which were extremely established, and the southern continent was controlled by the yellow menace. I distinctly remember that they were all one fucking guild, which contributed to my idea that they were Chinese because communists would probably all join one guild, and so we treated them as "orcs" if you will, a distant foreign menace that no one ever communicates with.

Not guild drama per se, but I did come back to the game with a thief character later on. At this point the Chinks held majority of the territory, I believe it was something like all of the southern continent and half of the others. That was a fun experience for entirely different reasons. The Western players had gone into more subtle types of aggression against the ant menace because they were so outnumbered. Once I had got up to level, I got to see this in action. The language barrier meant that ants were never listening in the global channels. Now these globals are numerous. There were global chats for each class, and one day I switched over to thief chat. I was filled with delight because the chat was a continuous feed of thieves reporting on the movements of Chinese players in merchant cities. And guess what, you can steal from other players in this game – but you have to not be shit, and you can't steal worn gear of course. So I hung out in a merchant city that was mentioned in chat for a while and soon enough, a worker drone approached to buy new armor.

Now stealing gear in this game is tough, like I said. You need to be there at the shop when the mark buys his gear piece and you need to steal it before he puts it on. Luckily for me, I made the steal attempt at the right time and got the shoulder piece he just bought, but it revealed me. A highly amusing Benny Hill sequence ensued as he chased me through various buildings and I attempted to lose sight to sneak again. Eventually another thief, one who was actually geared (I remember being naked while doing this), emerged from the shadows and backstabbed the ant. I could practically see the wink coming from his character.

This guild was popular the start of this expansion, and full of non-cucked lifeforms. I actively enjoyed playing with them until blizzard made it unbearable to play at all. A shame.

I forget the game but I remember it going to complete shit a year after this.

EVE is a great concept but a terrible execution. In my opinion a game that is driven by player conflict has to have terrain, or somewhere players can hide. I just bought Manhunt 2 for my eight year old son. He said that he really wanted the game. So, I went and bought the Wii version of it for him. I gave the game to him and watched him play. I was astonished at how good the graphics were and how kid-friendly the game is. I was so proud of him when he acted out the murders of multiple people on the screen. My favorite was when he wrapped the telephone wire around one of the character's neck and choke him to death. After he was done with the game, I tried it out and loved it. Once it became clear that I wouldn't even be able to take control of the guild and try to start over, I finally looked for a new guild and transferred to a not-dead server. After the GM quit (again), I was able to get in touch and have him transfer the guild to me, which I used as a guild for a small group of friends who were getting back into it. Then they quit too and left me alone once more, but I didn't want to bother with finding another guild, so I just played alone until I finally stopped playing myself.

Most of the Infinity members weren't well geared (which while normally not an issue was problem for pre-nerf Kara Netherwing has), OT had to be pugged, 1½ healers since one of the DPS shamans had to respec to even make the raid possible because of the slacking and naturally did not have proper healer gear for it. There was also lack of CC in Moroes: shackle done by the only proper healer priest was the most reliable one, but that left the meme shaman as only healer during the time shackle had to be recast which went as well as you might expect. Final nail in the coffin was that all of the hunters in the raid were too retarded to trap/kite Moroes' adds properly.

Tanks have the biggest egos of anyone in MMOs, or at least that was my experience in WoW. Like I said in my story above (>>16558585), my first WoW guild got passed to the main tank when the old GM quit, and he always had an ego about him, like "yeah you know you couldn't do this shit without me, everyone else is a fuckup but me, it's never MY fault we wipe." I just looked up his character out of curiosity and it seems that he hasn't raided seriously since leaving our guild behind, his history suggesting he's only done pugs since then. Had a stint in one of the top guilds on his current server but quit only a few months later, and now he's head of what I'm guessing is just a guild of friends. I don't hold any bad blood against the guy because this was almost a decade ago, but I do find it funny that, for whatever reason, his raiding career ended with us.

Man, that did remind me of another guy from my first guild. He was this Mexican warlock who was constantly angry on Vent, and his enraged outbursts were pretty fucking hysterical at times. One of my guildmates recorded him for a while, then pulled all the best quotes and made a Flash soundboard of them. We all thought it was hilarious. The warlock…less so. I wish I still had it, but the site it was uploaded to went down a year or two ago, and I never remembered to save a copy before it did.
