I'm still struggling to get my roster back to speed in JP, but I'm doing rather fine overall. I wish I could put a lot more resources into Luvia and Okitan, but I'm focusing on building everyone else first. I should be good once Nerofest rolls around.

I'll stick around a bit until I get bored, but I won't expect the same level of quality that was present in the story so far. I heard Nasu is more interested in making an FGO2 with a less shitty engine, so I'll likely switch to that if it ever happens.

Extella is passable but they can do much better than that with the source material, and the Arcade is even more jewish than the gachashit. You say this like rules of this nature aren't broken all the time in the Nasuverse. "Avenger" specifically meant Angra before it didn't. Artoria could only be a Saber due to how ludicrously well know Excalibur is before she could also be every other class. An off handed comment like that would quickly be discarded in the name of creativity/money.
That being said, it does sound like it would be simply a super Ruler class. Anyone put into it should probably just be made a Ruler instead to be playable, but that's just my opinion. If I were to make it a new class.. I guess I'd just have them be a reverse alter ego, that's additionally strong to alter egos and weak to foreigners, as that's a spot yet to be filled, although that doesn't make sense in lore to gameplay.

I went with Alter's, even though I'm not personally a fan of the character it seemed to me to be the most conclusive of the options while still fitting to the theme of the story, and didn't just leave out a bunch of characters to make it all fit together. It also has a "twist" ending that makes murder mysteries fun. My runner up was Salieri, but ultimately I felt it didn't quite fit the murder mystery theme.
That being said I'm guessing it will ultimately be Tristan's dumbass meta narrative idea because people will feel bad for him enough to pick his stupid shit

Big deal scenes (ex. Spartacus) tend to get translations so you can put together a highlight reel, but you're losing out on a lot. Interludes are extremely fucked, and story events miss a lot. The CCC event came swinging hard, and had enough people frantic that it was carried through pretty well; other stuff, not such much. If you follow on BL, reddit, or - and god help you - cuckchan, you might be able to pick up on a better amount of info in real time by asking questions, but you're only getting whatever anyone feels like spoonfeeding you. Compounding this, I can say without question that there was information that was badly mistranslated, and left that way for two years.
Now the NA team is fucked, don't get me wrong - the things that do get translated correctly, like servant profiles and bond lines, have generally been translated better by the amateurs than the official team.
That said, I've already been fucked over by the account recovery team on JP, and even after three years, DW is still pretty shit. If NA decides to do anything else stupid with censorship, I'll probably just sell my account for $3 or something and just stick to skimming for translation info. Realistically, actually playing the game adds negligible amounts to the experience unless you can actually understand it, and the game itself is not a good enough as a game for me to justify playing through all of JP's Part 1 all over again, permanently missing the welfare Shiki which was the sole reason I made an NA account in the first place, plus dealing with all of the new material.

Is it really that hard to follow along with the story if you don't know Nip at all? I know very basic nip and, given how the story segments have very many visual clues, it seems easy enough to follow along with for the nearly 4 years I've been playing. Not understanding every word might be annoying to some, I suppose, but I'm not sure it's really a barrier to anyone who likes the game.
I suppose there could be where the problem lies though. In terms of "games with which to waste my time throughout the day" I find FGO more appealing than the endless, dull grindfest that is Granblue or the trainwreck that is FEH. It's quality isn't the level of a home console game for sure, but as a simple pick up and play ordeal it does its job. That being said I do only tend to actively play during new events and just do a daily log on during reruns or 1/2 AP times. I would say a big part of it is there is no direct PVP content, so you aren't actively needing to compare with whales or need to help a team or anything. You can play the dumb little time waster at your own rate.

It's a retcon that cheapens what the fuck the point of the Throne is supposed to be, but it gets handwaived like nothing. Thinking about it, the problem with this list would be that it's extremely imbalanced for a release. There are 2 guaranteed Archers and just about 3 guaranteed Alter Egos. You could "fix" it by doing something sly like making Drop a Moon Cancer or something I guess, then it would probably be no more imbalanced class-wise than the first Summer event although still not great.
Rarity-wise there's somewhere between 3 - 5 5 stars on that list too, all of them at least gold, but that's arguably a non-issue. I suppose all of it is a non-issue though because it won't happen.

Win. Try to save your command seals for the battle after if possible. I had to basically use two teams, my front line to wipe out Limbo/Douman and an Anti-Berserket back row. Even then Arjuna hits hard enough to kill Abby and Hokusai each in a single turn if you're unlucky. He really is an asshole.
The battle after sees you using forced support. And while it's great forced support, Arjuna will still almost guarenteeably murder your ass.
I didn't try guts strats, so maybe those will work better if you can attempt them.

Depending on your CEs you might be able to get away with something. For the first fight you could maybe set up Gawain, Parvati, and get Protea's growth started. I don't know how quickly you could kill Limbo with that set up, but as I recall he didn't have too too much HP. Just enough to be a barrier to the next fight. After that you can have Mash, whose sole goal will be to die for your sins, and Melt in the back followed by Support Karna, who I believe isn't forced in that fight but still gets a pretty significant power up. Other than that your best bet is anyone who could kill quickly on your friend's list, because I don't have any confidence in survival games against a Berserker who can blow through invulnerability, which he WILL do after a break bar, and can not be debuffed.
Alternatively you can throw Karna in front, hope he survives Limbo and can Nuke Arjuna immediately afterwards, and then try and see if you can quickly kill Arjuna with whoever you have in the back row as I think he only has one break bar in that fight.
This is a similar strategy to the fight afterwards, only more so because there Arjuna has two break bars.

I finally managed to scum through it. Ended up using a complicated system. For the first turn with Limbo, I had two weaklings with the Kama event CE which gives crit stars and Gawain, who would luckily get cards as well as those crit stars to generate as much NP as he could and do as much damage to Ego as possible. I did this so that Limbo's 1st turn NP drain wouldn't hit the two servants both equipped with Kaledioscope who would replace the two expendable servants. In this context, the two servants with kaleidoscope were the ones who I needed to stall and deal enough damage to Limbo - the only ones I have for that are Mash and Melt. Just in case I couldn't kill limbo before his NP went off (as it turned out, I couldn't), I had the linchpin of my mission come into play a little earlier. A friend's bond CE herc. It was with that herc that I managed to pull off killing both limbo (thus generating NP and crit stars) and then later God Arjuna who would kill the remaining Mash and Melt who were just hanging on by threads until Arjuna's NP struck. Everything from then on is self explanatory, but geez I wasted too much time coming up with that plan. I was trying not to be scummy but the game left me no choice.
