As for the subject of Switch, free online is kind of a thing. You can't play with paypigs, but you can use the AdHoc feature and connect online. Think of it like that PS3 app that let you play AdHoc PSP games online.

The Nintendo Homebrew Community has a discord channel which is actually very helpful and very active. It's Discord, I know, but just use the browser version to reduce any risk. It's far better than a slow forum which you need to sign up to use and your post either won't be replied to or won't be seen at all cause you need to amass "credit" from people before you can engage elsewhere.

Depends. I had a black screen bricked O3DS thanks to some rxTools failure, it had also had Gateway shit on it. ntrboot let me run things but I almost full-bricked my 3DS by trying to fire-and-salt re-install the official firmware after clearing ctrNAND. There are console-specific files there and if not present the 3DS OS doesn't boot. Luckily I still had my old Gateway NAND backup, that fixed it. I've still got to fix the DS loader stuff but it is working again.

Anyway the main thing is https://3ds.hacks.guide we haven't had 3DS threads for a while so their pasta will be stale if anyone still has it.

Alright, cool. The problem with your 3DS is that your SD Card is in the wrong format now. I'll show you how to get it in the right format by wiping the unnecessary data. Don't worry, nothing else will be affected.

1. Launch GodMode9.

2. Press (Home) to bring up the action menu

3. Select “More…”

4. Select “SD format menu”

5. Select "EmuNAND Size (Full)"

6. Select "Auto"

7. This is the important step. Use X to remove all the characters presented, and then put in 2 as the name.

8. When prompted, input the key combo given to confirm
