>Vita has a lot more entry level japanese games/VNs than the 3DS
you misunderstood me. I was referring to the moonrune-learning games, like example in pic.
>What do you mean by usable?
I meant if the N2DS XL has issues like buttons becoming mushy or outright sinking, hinges cracking from normal use, the 'circle pad' cap crumbling apart (saw it happen to an o3DS), display issues (e.g. backlight bleed, scanlines (like with PSP-3000 series, see pic 2)), etc. you know, clear red flags that would tell you "this is disposable stripped down garbage tier"
I also suppose the bottom screen will get scratched without a screen protector, right?
>3DS gimmick which IMO is the entire reason you got a 3DS instead of a Vita
I don't really care for the 3D gimmick. I can barely notice as I have irregular astigmatism anyway, I also read it saps the battery like a russian downing a bottle of vodka.

from what I read, the 3DS supports 256GB SDXC cards, maybe even beyond that. however it's not very cost-efficient
>is there a step that I am forgetting here?
yes, it needs to be formatted in FAT32 with a cluster size of 32KB (64KB doesn't work apparently). 3DS won't read exFAT (default filesystem of SDXC cards). I think Windows's formatting tool forces exFAT with large volumes, so you may need a 3rd party formatting tool.
