Bioshock Infinite
>scale and scope of the game was dialed back significantly in the final game compared to pre-release footage, final game has linear levels and resembles Halo or CoD more than the original Bioshock or anything that inspired it
>graphics were compromised too, not looking as rich or detailed as the original trailers, even on PC
>supposedly both of these were the fault of console limitations and the PS4 and Xbone devkits not being available yet, but I honestly feel like that's no excuse for dumbing the game down THIS much, not to mention the story going full-retard by the end and even moreso in the DLC's
Watch Dogs
>shows groundbreaking graphical effects at E3 2012, possibly being our first glimpse at a "next gen" game
>game releases with severely dumbed-down graphics, making it looks only somewhat more impressive than the PS3 and 360 versions which should have never come out to start with
>to add insult to injury, many of the graphical effects shown in pre-release builds of the game can be re-enabled in the PC version using a mod called "TheWorse"
>this shitshow sullied the game's reputation, and created an aura of distrust towards the franchise and its devs, though it only partially-contributed to Watch Dogs 2 being a bomb
Halo 2
>E3 2003 build shows an ambitious, crazy large level with a ton of interactive elements on a scale not seen in the first game and arguably better visuals than the final game
>level shown has an intense, high-stakes atmosphere that's not really replicated in the final game (largely due to the lack of human NPC's and the fact that the covenant attacked Earth by mistake in the final game rather than implying they'd gone all-out against the humans, indicating the plot was rewritten as development went along), and the mission itself is also vastly-different and cut-back in the final build
>dev interviews years later admit the level was basically 100% scripted, the devs had barely started development on the game, and scrapped the engine used for this build and started over just a few months later
I won't go too hard on Halo 2 though because it was still a pretty good game and a lot of the cooler things in the trailer did make their way into the final game in some form

Yes it does, look for the "TheWorse" mod, or alternatively just change the .ini like >>16364630 and >>16364715 said, but temper your expectations because it doesn't fix the bland gameplay or story, not to mention there's still a lot of immersion-breaking bugs and dumb shit like the ugly-ass NPC's and the way the trains are that no amount of filters and effects will fix.
Killzone 2
>pre-rendered bullshot made to look like actual gameplay at E3 2005 that the devs were supposedly not even aware of until it was shown, and they'd only just started pre-planning for the game
>looking back it's easy to call it out as pre-rendered bullshit, but this was in 2005 when we were just now seeing 7th gen consoles and games for the first time so there was still a sense of uncertainty, not to mention bullshots weren't very common in the 6th gen (games like MGS2 were thought to be bullshots at E3 but the final game matched expectations), and Sony wouldn't admit that it was pre-rendered until later
>devs had to get their ass in high gear and make the game look as "purty" as possible to match expectations set by the pre-rendered trailer, compromising its framerate and input latency in the process
Call of Duty 2
>similar situation to Killzone 2, where a commercial showed pre-rendered footage made to look like gameplay, and apparently Bongland or something sued Activision for false advertising and banned the ad from playing anymore
