I loved that Smackdown 2 had endless career which wasn't completely scripted and had some interesting random events. It had a lot of great ideas on which they didn't expand in later games. For example, you could even make yourself a gf by setting up female manager. It had shitton of customizable things and I always come back to play the game. Is there any WWE game like Smackdown 2 with non-linear career?

Here Comes The Pain's Career Mode is somewhat non-linear. I don't know if it's as non-linear as Smackdown 2.

For example, in HCTP, you will get different storylines depending on whether or not your wrestler owns a championship. You can also choose if you want to participate in a storyline, like going to Europe or starting a faction at certain points.

Day of Reckoning 2 only has 2 choices from what I remember. I don't know about Day of Reckoning 1.

The stories in Road To Wrestlemania in Smackdown Vs. Raw 2011 have some branching paths, such as making Rey Mysterio evil.

It's basically a tie between no mercy, day of reckoning 2, and obscure japanese wrestling games made by the same people who made the above games.

Smackdown is just the most inconsistent series ever. Some games have more action based wrestling(wresters no sell) and some are good and have a good pace when it comes to the wrestling grappling system, and some just have bad animations that are downgrades from the "here comes the pain" and successor eras. Smackdown is probably the most inconsistent game series ever.

Punk was never a good athlete. When you compare punks elbow drop to anything lesnar does it's laughable. That's why lesnar can go into MMA with just his NCAA wrestling background and pound guys into the canvas actually win the fucking belt get his ass kicked whatever but lesnar is actually a threat.

CM punk can't beat low tier fighters that the ufc signs specifically to fight punk whilst lesnar was literally thrown into the ring with top 10 heavyweights in his first fights.
