Trying to find something down my alley, like Roman era combat games, Presidential sims, anything that allows sandbox reign without getting boring, games with tons of factions, 1st/3rd/bird's eye prefered, idc. Been gaming since 1987 when I was 5. no shitware, no bad indie titles, something with a legacy. should have only a medium high learning curve at most, prefer Windows titles and not DOSBox shit (played most of that already, some decent titles but not what I'm looking for)

Some of these questions are stupid though, you'd have to be an uncaring soulless robot to not notice mood changes just by looking at faces and being unable to picture fictional characters and places in your mind when reading a book/LN, it's literally the point of such works.

all PC games are freeware anon. i can't remember what it was called but there was a gladiator management sim i played a couple years ago that was pretty fun. you got to choose what you spent your gold on, from upgrades to your "camp" (or turning it into a prison), whether or not you paid your gladiators and if so how much, training them, arming them etc. it was pretty neat
