I'm feeling a weird sense of nostalgia connected with a solemn feeling of sadness and I feel like playing something happy with friendly characters that I can make friends with on the way. I want the game to be a happy adventure, something that will invoke the feeling of some of the happier and comfier GBA titles like Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, where I can escape into a fantastical world and despite sometimes bad things happening live in a world full of friends and happiness if just for a while. I miss the comfy childlike feeling of such games, do you guys know anything that might fit?

mystery dungeon could get pretty dark but perhaps that lingering serious feeling adds flavor to the happy bits. id agree that its a comfy game with a big atmosphere though.

how about ape escape?

ape escape 1 for the music, and 3 for the loli.

2 is okay but i dont remember it standing out and i think it had the weakest soundtrack of the 3.

I played the Ape Escape remake on the PSP and the detail they put into the world, like giving each ape its own flavor text and adding areas with secrets like hot springs in the mountains, was extremely comfy.
