I can do that. First three are bottom-left for PC, Vita, and PS4 respectively. Last two are top-right of PC and PS4 respectively. It's so subtle that I may just be imagining it but very slight cameltoe censorship may be the case for Vita on that one.
So, the original game is an eroge, and limited by their usual pornography laws. But it's not uncommon for them to get console ports where CERO has a full nudity ban, so they typically try to compensate by adding extra content where things had to be cut, so the console versions don't have any sex scenes and have a bunch of CGs censored, so this was originally released on Vita. But a fair while later they wanted to port it to PS4, and Sony's policy change forcing them at the last minute to through such slapdash censorship over their game. Eroge devs typically cannot afford to take the moral high ground.
I believe there is a patch for the game now where they've just added towels and such instead of excessive lights, I don't have screenshots of that though. In any case they did not in post change the Vita version, and the motivations behind it are total nonsense, and also very poorly timed so late in the PS4's lifespan since it will give second thoughts to developers on any future consoles, or even developing for them, period. Golden rule of any console: Do not alienate fans and ESPECIALLY do not alienate developers.

I don't often do save back-ups but I know it's doable somewhere in the content manager. Vita stupidly insists on backing up the entire app and any of its updates/DLC and save data, though there's a homebrew to address this.
Incidentally, I don't do online stuff except for game downloading. But I've made mistakes once or twice, and specifically the only reason I even logged into PSN is because of always-online DRM I didn't know about. I really need to look if there's a cracked version of it.

you can backup the saves directly through vitashell once you hack the vita. But I do it personally with a FTP client so that they stay visible by default because Windblows acts retarded when it comes to folders considered as "system protected"

Alright, let's assume this isn't a greed thing and think about why.
Assuming it's not greed, my conclusions based on my experience in retail and sales is
1. Someone was caught, or someone wasn't caught literally handing out codes for free using a verification code machine at a store, spooking the higher-ups.
2. Some madlad cracked the codes they used and infiltrated their system to hand out free games en masse and it was covered up.
Since we didn't get any news stories but Playstation is already infamous for a few customer information cracks years back so cover ups might be in play It could go like this:
3. Sony noticed that the physical codes were a security risk or a potential risk and are designing a new distribution model or cutting it out entirely in favor of one model because someone thought it was a security risk.
There's people who crack customer information and passwords by what I assume are brute force computing methods over in Malaysia, China, Korea and India and whatnot since a lot of the customer base for cracked codes were reported to be there and whenever I changed my passwords on a site the reports of access I got had IPs from those countries
So in this case the issue it seems might be security based and not wholly financial. When something seems anti-money in retail it's usually because they need to deal with a security risk or update in OSHA demands, otherwise they can't be bothered to fix fucking anything.
