I've really been wanting to play something multiplayer with a social element lately but I'm not really into shooters or most other stuff associated with multiplayer. I enjoyed Wakfu back in 2014 and for a while afterwards until it turned into total shit but it's crashing and burning now and nothing I can find scratches the same itch. Anything "alternative" (i.e. not run of the mill shit) or tactical would be preferable, doesn't need to be an MMO.

Don't suggest Dofus as it's a pile of shit too.

That aside, general multiplayer/MMO thread:

If you want alternative alternative, try Ryzom. It's a tiny French MMO filled with yuropoors that's been going on since 2004. Have some screenshots of me getting oneshot by an elf during a Christmas event.

You could also do Project 1999, which is EQ pre-Tigole. That game has a nice non-retarded community.

To "protect the salty" in principle. To stroke their epeen and virtue signal how sporting and fair you are in practice.

If they were that sporting, they would upload ALL their fights. Not just their wins and the occassional meme loss that they run with to scream PLS NERF about the tactics they don't like. Even if it were as an archive to look up yourself later and figure what you did wrong, but nobody does that. Not publicly, at least.
