Considering Pizzeria Simulator concluded the story, it essentially is 6, at least if Sister Location is 5. And yes, they are canon. RPG connected to SL, Ultimate Custom Night added some details that tied into the originals and, again, Pizzeria Simulator concluded the story all around. Even the books are canon, for the most part, since the characters from SL onwards were first introduced in the books.

Games then were restricted on their budget by the simple nature of the technology; you can't pay for voice acting if there's no space for it on a cartridge. AAA gaming is characterized entirely by the "rolling snowball" model of business wherein all profits are re-invested into marketing the next game at an even larger budget. See also: Hollywood.
The key to finding good games today is identifying which ones were made by a studio that does not think in this manner.

Because the second motion capture came into vidya, actors came into vidya, and they brought the Hollywood kikes with them. From a timeline perspective it makes sense too. The use of motion capture came into full force around 2004-2005. Then everything started going to shit in 2007. With the industry getting the sad state it's currently in around 2011.
But if the technology never allowed for voice acting, it probably would have stayed a niche hobby forever. Wow, that's a painful thought

I don't think that's accurate, computer games were capable of voice acting since the 70s. It all boils down to mainstreaming. Back in the seventies eighties and even early nineties only a few hobbyists were really into computers, same thing with video game consoles, Fantasy Books & Comics and of course anime. The audiences were much smaller interested in quality over spectacle. Once the typical ideologues started taking over and changing the demographics that's when everything went downhill. For instance the average woman doesn't really care about video games so there was no reason to Market to her, women have played video games and been involved for years they haven't cared about being catered to because they already enjoyed games that were designed for the target audience (men and boys). Anyway I'm losing focus here but it all boils down to this, you can have Niche products that are high quality and appeal to a few people. Or you can have mainstream products that are low quality and designed to appeal to everybody.
